WWE ID has revealed in the last few hours the first five names that will compete for the vacant WWE ID Women's Championship. The coronation of the new champion will take place on November 17 at the Wrestling Open RI event in Cranston (Rhode Island), where a six-way match will be held.

The confirmed names are Shannon Levangie (Chaotic Wrestling), Airica Demia (Palmetto Championship Wrestling), Tiara James (MCW), Notorious Mimi (Monster Factory and Worldwide Dojo), and Brittnie Brooks (FSW Vegas and Dreamwave Wrestling), the latter also known for being the partner of TNA star Chris Bey. The sixth participant will come from a one-fall match that will open the show featuring various talents, and will serve to complete the final lineup before the title match.

The championship became vacant in September, after the first titleholder, Kylie Rae, announced her pregnancy. A month later, Rae confirmed that her contract with WWE ID would not be renewed, leaving her future with the brand on indefinite hold.

The WWE ID titles debuted last August at a GCW event. Rae won the title back then, during a GCW show in Rutherford (New Jersey), after defeating Zara Zakher and Zayda Steel in a triple threat match.
