WWE is celebrating a new episode of Monday Night Raw tonight, this time number 1,694, from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The show will be broadcast live on Netflix and Solowrestling will bring you the results in this news article as every week.
Tonight's episode will feature several matches and segments of interest, highlighting John Cena's penultimate appearance on the red brand before his retirement as a professional wrestler and the start of the tournament to determine his final opponent. Additionally, Stephanie Vaquer will defend the Women's World Championship against Raquel Rodriguez. As always, we invite you to comment on the article to give your opinion on what happened on the show.
WWE Raw begins on Netflix!
We see the arrival of some of tonight's protagonists at the venue: Shinsuke Nakamura, Damian Priest, The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane), and Stephanie Vaquer (accompanied by Nikki Bella).
Triple H is in charge of opening tonight's show. The WWE Chief Content Officer is welcomed with applause. "Triple H, Triple H!" chant the fans. Triple H points out that we are experiencing a magical moment, but also one where everyone has a different opinion about the business. And that applies when it comes to naming the greatest wrestler of all time. Triple H knows the business very well. He has experienced it from various perspectives (as a wrestler, as a director,...), and that's why he knows very well what characteristics a wrestler must have to be considered as such. And, as far as he is concerned, there is only one who has all these characteristics. A person who has given his all every week in the ring and who loves this industry as much as the fans. A person who has dedicated his entire career to boosting this business. This man is, in his opinion, "The Greatest of All Time". And tonight he is proud to present him. Without further ado, Triple H introduces John Cena.
The seventeen-time world champion appears on the entrance ramp. The stadium erupts in applause. "The Greatest of All Time" runs towards the ring, where Triple H awaits him. Cena asks for a microphone and gestures for his theme music to stop playing. "Cena, Cena!" chant the fans. John thanks Triple H for the introduction and the fans' reception. After that, he proceeds with his promo.
Cena recalls that since he announced his retirement tour, the question he has been asked the most is who will be his final opponent. "Thank you, Cena!" chant the fans. However, only one person asked him what he wanted to do. John points directly at Triple H. "My goal is to leave this industry better than I found it", says John. He wanted to thank the industry and WWE for the opportunities they gave him, and that is the reason why he proposed a tournament to determine his final opponent. John is excited because tonight the tournament will begin. One in which its winner could say "I retired John Cena". However, he warns them that he will not be easily defeated.
Regarding Saturday Night's Main Event, he wants it to be a night of opportunities. "It will be a night to close a chapter, but also a night of opportunities. It will be my last match, but also an opportunity to give people a moment to shine and show their skills", he says. John hopes that the main roster superstars will show their skills to the best that NXT has to offer for the future of this industry. Cena reiterates his desire to close a chapter on December 13 to open new ones with new opportunities.
John recalls his retirement tour so far, pointing out that his biggest wish was to return one last time to the TD Garden in Boston, and thus celebrate this reunion surrounded by fans, family, and friends. John wants to thank them for all their support, when suddenly...
Dominik Mysterio interrupts the promo
The double AAA and WWE champion heads to the ring. The fans greet him with a loud boo. Dom asks for a microphone and stands in the center of the ring. Mysterio begins to speak, but his words are drowned out in a sea of boos. Dominik assures that he is the future of this industry. After that, he addresses Triple H, turning his back on Cena. Mysterio asks the WWE Chief Content Officer when he will take action against his father after ruining his celebration last week. "Those things don't happen to me. I'm the one who interrupts celebrations of older men. And I don't care what you're doing here, because there's nothing more important than me", says Dom.
Cena interrupts Mysterio to welcome him to Boston. The double champion stands in front of "The Greatest of All Time". "This has nothing to do with you or Boston. Why don't you take a seat in that corner and let the adults talk business? And speak when you're told. Otherwise, you'll be humiliated," says Mysterio. "An excellent speech, but I think, in the midst of your anger and ego, you have forgotten where you are and who you are talking to. I'm John Cena and this is Boston, Massachusetts!", exclaims Cena. He points out that at any other time he would have forgiven his lack of respect, but not tonight. Not in Boston. "Tonight you have no chance. Tonight, I AM INVINCIBLE!", he adds. John advises him to choose his words carefully because if he's looking for a fight tonight, he's going to lose. "Wrong time. Wrong place. Wrong guy," he says. However, out of respect for his father, he will overlook it and let him go. "Really, John? You're going to need more than magic to touch me. I'm not at my peak, and yet I'm better than you were in your prime. Whenever, wherever, in any era, I could have kicked John Cena's ass", Mysterio replies.
Dom faces off with Cena. Triple H steps between them to calm the situation. The Chief Content Officer recalls Mysterio's words from a moment ago, pointing out that this is a good era, a good moment, and a good place. So, if Cena agrees with that, tonight Dom will defend the Intercontinental Championship against "The Greatest of All Time". The fans go wild. But there's more. Triple H calls for a referee, because the match will take place here and now!

AJ Styles and Dragon Lee talk to Adam Pearce backstage. The World Tag Team Champions want to keep defending the gold, so they ask the General Manager to schedule new matches for them. Lee wants to make a difference with this reign, so Pearce just needs to send them challengers. Adam is glad to hear that. Pearce asks them for some time to prepare everything. Meanwhile, he wonders if they already have a name for their team. "The Dragons with style," Lee replies. A not entirely convinced Styles points out that they are still working on it. The champions leave, and Maxxine Dupri appears.
Pearce asks Maxxine how her training is going and if she is ready to face Becky Lynch. Dupri replies that her training is going well, but she doesn't think she's ready for "The Man". However, she has realized something. "Being ready is not a feeling. It's a choice. And I've made mine. Give me Becky," says Maxxine. Adam is pleased to hear that. The General Manager proposes that she face the Irishwoman for the Women's Intercontinental Championship next week at Madison Square Garden. "It's official. Good luck," says Pearce as he fist bumps Dupri. Adam leaves, and Becky appears out of nowhere to knock out Maxxine. "Do you think you're ready? Welcome to Big Time! You don't stand a chance," says the Irishwoman before leaving.

And I'm not wearing my gear because I have no intention of competing in any wrestling match. I'm in Boston. And if I fight someone, it'll be in the street," says CM Punk. He reminds the fans that last week he was knocked out with brass knuckles by a piece of trash named Logan Paul. "I knew Logan Paul was a piece of trash, but I didn’t know how big of one he was," he says. CM Punk reiterates that he wants to fight Paul, and that he won’t do it for the World Championship that "The Maverick" wants so badly. "You set your eyes on my belt? CM Punk points out that he’s only delaying the inevitable: getting his face smashed in. Paul tells him to shut up. "The Maverick" reminds everyone that he was knocked out by the greatest boxer of all time, Floyd Mayweather, and even that doesn’t compare to the feeling of being crushed by Bronson Reed. Logan recalls that The Vision made it clear they’ll beat up anyone who stands against them. And they’ll do it week after week. That’s why he made a decision—he’s not willing to be beaten every week. "You see, Punk. I thought I knew everything. But after taking that Tsunami, my eyes opened to an entirely new vision," says Logan.
Paul Heyman, Bronson Reed, and Bron Breakker join Logan Paul. Heyman describes CM Punk as the most unpleasant person he has ever met. But that’s not the reason he has no friends. The real reason is that CM Punk is a treacherous person. "You’re simply a miserable, disgusting bastard. You’re the most unpleasant person I’ve ever met. You couldn’t be more unpleasant unless your name were AJ Lee," says Heyman.
"If my wife, AJ Lee, were here right now, she’d leave the four of you drowning in your own piss and blood. But she’s not here, so I guess I’ll be the one to get the job done. Come at me, boys. I’ll fight all five of you, because you count as two, Heyman," replies CM Punk. He prepares in the center of the ring to await the arrival of the heels. Suddenly, Jey Uso appears at his side. The two get ready to fight as their enemies surround the ring.

He’s got a team, so he suggests Pearce talk to Paul Heyman to end this “game.” Pearce asks if he’s really asking what he thinks he’s asking. CM Punk calls out William Regal.
