34 days and 4 appearances. That's all that remains of John Cena's retirement tour. A tour that has led "The Greatest of All Time" to win his seventeenth world championship, to experience a heel role, and, of course, to compete in some of the best matches of this year, including his bout against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam and his celebrated showdown against AJ Styles at Crown Jewel.
Now, Cena is already awaiting his final opponent, whom he will face on December 13th at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. For this occasion, the wrestler proposed a 16-man tournament, with the winner earning the privilege of sharing the ring with him on the same night of his retirement. There are many theories and names that have emerged in this regard, although they will remain mere speculation until WWE reveals the complete tournament bracket.
One of the names that has been rumored as John Cena's possible final opponent is Dominik Mysterio, who has not been announced as part of the tournament. Something that doesn't seem to particularly concern him, as he pointed out in statements to Beyond The Match Wrestling.
"If he comes looking for me, I mean, here I am. Dirty Dom is here. Judgment Day is here. John Cena already knows it. I've said it many times: If you want something, come and take it (If you want some, come get some). The double champion is here," Dominik said.
It is worth noting that Mysterio holds the only championship that Cena has not conquered in the company. If he does, "The Greatest of All Time" would become a Grand Slam Champion, a distinction that few wrestlers have been able to achieve in their careers. Currently, Dominik is engaged in an intense rivalry with several Raw talents, including Penta, Rusev, and his own father, the legend Rey Mysterio.
