The CW and Netflix will air a new episode of WWE NXT tonight, with Vic Joseph and Booker T at the commentary table, live from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The show will feature several matches and segments of interest, highlighting a Last Man Standing Match between Ricky Saints and Trick Williams for the NXT Championship.
Additionally, the tournament to determine the new WWE Speed Champion will continue, while El Grande Americano will defend the men's title of the division. As always, we invite you to comment on the article to give your opinion on what happened on the show.
WWE NXT begins on Netflix!
The show starts with a tribute video to the veterans of the United States Army.
We see the arrival at the venue of two of the main protagonists of the night: Trick Williams and Ricky Saints.
The Culling in full (Tatum Paxley, Izzi Dame, Shawn Spears, and Niko Vance) are in charge of opening tonight's show. "Tatum Tuesday!" chant the fans. Paxley thanks them before confessing that she is not used to hearing herself announced as the NXT Champion. And, in this sense, she believes she should start listening to her friends, because if she had listened to them last week, they wouldn't have lost. However, she is glad that Izzi has forgiven her. Dame assures her that everyone knows how hard she has worked to reach the top, but now she should listen to them and not give away opportunities for a title that she has worked so hard to achieve.
Tatum agrees with that, but she also acknowledges that spinning the wheel two weeks ago was incredible. In addition, the fans were delighted with it. Dame assures her that the fans would applaud anything, and insists that she should choose her title defenses wisely, as not all women on the roster deserve an opportunity. "You are better than that. Don't risk losing the title. Stop giving away opportunities. That's not the best for you. That's not the best for the title", says Izzi.
Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid) interrupt the segment
Jacy Jayne understands Tatum better than anyone. That's why she asks her to think carefully about what kind of champion she wants to be. The fans boo the former champion, who heads into the ring with her teammates. Jacy suggests to Paxley that she shows the world that her victory at Halloween Havoc was not a fluke. Jayne knows that Izzi is advising Tatum not to give away opportunities. But that cannot be applied to a woman who has carried the NXT women's division on her shoulders all year. "Someone who deserves it", says Jayne.
Izzi assures that Tatum won't be fooled. Jacy, on the other hand, reminds Dame that the championship belongs to Paxley, who should also be the one making the decisions. And the best decision right now is to grant a title rematch to a former champion. Paxley points out that she will heed Izzi's advice. "She will be more selective when granting opportunities... but that will be after Gold Rush!" Tatum apologizes to Dame before granting Jacy her desired title rematch. Paxley and Jayne celebrate while The Culling try to hide their disappointment with forced smiles. And so we come to the end of this segment.
We see a video recorded in Ava's office before the show. The Vanity Project (Jackson Drake, Brad Baylor, and Ricky Smokes) met with the General Manager. Drake thanked Ava for allowing him to defend the WWE Evolve Championship at Gold Rush, although he was not surprised, as the General Manager couldn't resist having the hottest faction in the company. That said, he promised to make sure the New York audience gets to know firsthand the brightest future of NXT. "I can't wait to see Sean Legacy become the new champion," said Ava.
At that moment, Ethan Page, Alba Fyre, and Chelsea Green entered the office. "All Ego" reunited with his Evolve allies, promising them that they would speak soon. However, before that, they had some business to attend to with Ava. Page asked the General Manager if she had congratulated Chelsea on her recent title victory, making her a double champion, just like him. Ava applauded Green somewhat mockingly before reminding them both that they should prepare for their match at Gold Rush against Thea Hail and... Chelsea interrupted her, reminding her not to mention their opponent (Joe Hendry) to prevent him from appearing. Alba assured that none of them would show up, as she had everything under control. Ava then proposed to the Scottish woman to have a match later that night. Chelsea tried to respond to Ava, but Ethan stopped her, pointing out that this could be a great opportunity to deal with a problem they already see on the horizon. Green then accepted Ava's proposal.

But before that, Rayo hands a metal plate to the champion, who hides it inside his gear. El Grande Americano returns to the ring to take down his opponent with a flying headbutt.
El Grande Americano stands in one of the corners, where he is about to place the plate under his mask. The referee notices this and approaches the masked wrestler. They struggle, causing the plate to end up on the canvas. Troy takes advantage of this to crush the champion with a corner splash. Jasper finishes off El Grande Americano with a Black Hole Slam. 1..2..3.
Winner and NEW WWE SPEED Champion: JASPER TROY (4:42)
We see Thea Hail preparing for her match backstage. "Where's Joe Hendry?," she wonders. Thea looks to her left to find the Scotsman. Hail thanks Joe for last week. Hendry also wants to thank her for the energy she put into smashing pies in the faces of Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre. That said, he points out that he couldn't have asked for a better partner to face Ethan Page and Chelsea. "I've been waiting a long time for an opportunity, and you've given it to me," says Hail before ensuring that in two weeks they will become the new Mixed Tag Team Champions of AAA. Meanwhile, tonight she will face Alba Fyre, a former NXT UK and WWE Tag Team Champion, and will put up a fight. "Do you know why? Because I believe! I believe in Joe Hendry! They believe in Thea Hail! I believe in Thea Hail! Let's go!," she exclaims before heading to the ring.
Ava talks with Sean Legacy in the General Manager's office. Legacy thanks her for giving him the best opportunity of his career, confessing to being eager to defeat Jackson Drake to snatch the WWE Evolve Championship. "You'll have a great match," says Ava. ZaRuca appear on the scene. Legacy leaves, addressing Sol Ruca, hoping her leg is in perfect condition because everyone misses seeing her in action. Sol thanks him for his words, pointing out that this is precisely why she is here. Sean leaves. Ava has read Ruca's medical report and knows she has been cleared to compete, although the final decision rests with the wrestler. She does not hesitate to say she is ready to regain her championship. Zaria interrupts her companion. The Australian assures her that there is nothing she wants more than to be crowned champion at the same time as Sol. However, not at the expense of her own health. Ava proposes to Ruca to postpone her match until Deadline. "I'm fine. I've been cleared. It's my choice. I want Blake Monroe next week," says Sol. Ava accepts, as long as Ruca is aware of the risks her decision entails. "I understand," Ruca replies. Ava accepts Sol's decision, who leaves the office satisfied with Zaria.
Alba Fyre (with Chelsea Green and Ethan Page) vs. Thea Hail (with Joe Hendry)
Hail quickly seeks a Kimura Lock, but the Scot takes her against a corner to escape the hold. Alba executes several corner spears on Hail. Fyre slaps Thea, who responds with fury. Tatum Paxley talks with Ricky Saints while he is being bandaged. Tatum explains to Saints that she is just trying to offer a title opportunity to those who deserve it. Ricky understands. "Do you think Trick Williams deserves another title shot? No. He deserves a kick in the butt. And you will do the same with Jacy Jayne next week," says "The Absolute." Saints advises Tatum not to listen to anyone but herself. She must be the champion she wants to be. Paxley thanks him for the advice. The Culling (Izzi Dame, Shawn Spears, and Niko Vance) appear on the scene to take their partner away, preventing her from continuing to talk with the NXT Champion. "She's weird, but I like it," says Saints.
Blake Monroe is interviewed by a dark version of herself. "The Glamour" is glad to talk to her again, proudly showing her the NXT North American Championship. The dark Blake congratulates the champion. She boasts of her title victory, pointing out that she deserved the gold. "It's all I deserve. The Glamour always gets what she wants," she says before ensuring that she showed everyone she has power. The dark Blake points out that power eventually fades away. Also, she is not sure if Monroe deserves the title. Not after how she won it, without defeating its former holder. The dark Blake assures that Sol Ruca is a better wrestler than Monroe. And only by defeating her can she prove that she truly deserves the gold. However, there is a way to get what she wants: take advantage of Sol not being at 100%. "Sol is not at 100%, but you are. With me by your side," says the dark Blake. She suggests that Monroe "break" Ruca, make her feel pain, and do whatever it takes to retain the gold. "You must let me be part of this," she says. Monroe is not sure she wants that kind of champion, but her dark side insists that it is the only way she can retain the title. "I thought you loved me. Don't you want me to be part of this?," she asks. "You need me. I always show up when you need me the most. Let's go Blake. Be The Glamour. Dazzle them with your beauty. But Hell is what makes them fear you," she adds. Blake believes that no one will like her if she destroys Sol. Her dark version assures her that it doesn't matter because she will remain the champion. "You and I don't compete. We coexist. I know you love being adored, but you hate what you have to do to get it. And that's where I come in. We need each other. The Glamour to be seen. The Woman of Hell to be remembered." Blake accepts the offer. "The spotlight needs darkness. Together we make a perfect champion," says Blake. "I'll see you at Gold Rush, my love," replies the dark Blake.
Je'Von Evans leaves the production room when he receives a call from Leon Slater. He wants to talk about the threat from DarkState, but Je'Von is more excited about his participation in the Last Time is Now tournament and the announcement he is about to make. Je'Von wants Leon to be present, so he has spoken with the production staff to have everything ready. Slater just has to call him back in a few minutes. Evans heads to the ring, bringing this segment to an end.
Sarah Schreiber interviews Jordynne Grace backstage. Grace points out that Kelani Jordan's promo last week only served as an excuse for the Knockouts World Champion to explain why she cheated to retain the gold. But that no longer matters, because in two weeks she’ll have a new opportunity. Grace reminds everyone that before landing in NXT, she was the Knockouts World Champion. In fact, that title and her name became synonymous. When Jordan was still a gymnast, Grace had already won TNA’s top gold three times. In two weeks, Jordynne will have the chance to steer the Knockouts division back in the right direction while making history. She only regrets that Lei Ying Lee will become collateral damage. "Kelani keeps saying the world is the reason she is the way she is now. But at Gold Rush, she’ll only have me to blame," says “The Juggernaut” before walking away.
Je'Von Evans makes his entrance to the ring. Evans shares his excitement with the fans after being chosen to participate in the Last Time is Now tournament. However, he’s nervous—not only because he’ll face Gunther, but also because of the opportunity to compete at Madison Square Garden at such a young age. Still, tonight he’s not here for that, but to talk about next Tuesday. Je'Von asks production to play a call from Leon Slater on the big screen, as he wants to share an announcement. The X-Division Champion appears on the screen. Evans points out that both he and Leon have spoken with Ava and Santino Marella, and now they’ve got what they wanted: a match at Gold Rush for the NXT Tag Team Championships. Slater says that after what DarkState did to The Hardy Boyz and Je'Von himself, it’s time they pay for it—by kicking their asses and taking their gold. Je'Von promises that next week...
The lights in the arena go out.
The members of DarkState appear in the stands. Osiris Griffin says that Evans and Slater are just the faction’s next victims. Dion Lennox admits that Evans and Slater are the future of this industry—but that future is now in DarkState’s hands. Cutler James advises Je'Von to think about the consequences of getting in DarkState’s way. Saquon Shugars believes Evans has acted impulsively, as he’s now alone and surrounded by danger. The heels circle the ring, ready to attack Je'Von, but he laughs, pointing out that they’ve fallen into his trap. We see Leon rising from his chair and running out—Slater suddenly appears at ringside! Leon jumps into the ring to join Je'Von. Together they not only fend off DarkState’s assault but also drive them out of the ring. Leon dives with a tope onto Dion and Cutler. Je'Von follows up with his own dive onto Saquon and Osiris. Evans and Slater return to the ring. Furious, the heels try to re-enter, but a swarm of officials rushes in to stop them. Thus, this segment comes to an end.
Kelani Jordan approaches Trick Williams backstage. The Knockouts World Champion admits that Trick was right: you only need to worry about yourself—especially when you’re a champion—because in the end, you end up alone. Williams notes that he’s been saying that all along. Jordan assures him that she’ll support him tonight in his match against Ricky Saints. Trick is glad that Kelani understands now. Sometimes you just have to be selfish. And that’s why tonight he’ll take care of Saints the same way Jordan will deal with Jordynne Grace at Gold Rush. "I am HER," says Kelani. The two bump fists. Jordan leaves, ending the segment.

Ava understands but insists she can’t let him get involved. “Promise me,” she says. Wren Sinclair appears. Borne fist-bumps his friend. “Sorry, I’m going to watch the main event up close,” says Myles as he leaves. Ava again tells him not to get involved. Kendal Grey joins Wren, asking what that was about. Sinclair says she’s focused on boosting WrenQCC, so they need to think alike. Lainey Reid appears. "Let me tell you something," she says to Grey before slapping her. The WWE Evolve Champion and Reid start brawling until several officials separate them. Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley show up to mock Kendal, whose fury can barely be contained. Thus, the segment ends.
