Cody Rhodes has reached 100 days as the Undisputed Champion of WWE in his second world reign in the company. "The American Nightmare" regained the title at SummerSlam, defeating John Cena in one of the best matches of the year in the company owned by Endeavor. Since then, he has defended it three times in an extensive rivalry with Drew McIntyre.
Rhodes' first reign lasted 378 days - one of the longest in the last decade - and he is now approaching 500 days as the top champion counting both reigns. A figure that reflects the importance of the wrestler in the current era of WWE, where he has become the face of the company or its "quarterback," as he often says.
With his rivalry with McIntyre seemingly concluded, Rhodes faces his next commitment at Survivor Series: WarGames, where he will team up with CM Punk and Jey Uso to take on The Vision in a WarGames Match. It is expected that both teams will add one or two more members to their ranks for the upcoming battle.
Survivor Series will take place on November 29. Until then, it seems unlikely that Rhodes will put the WWE Undisputed Championship on the line. Meanwhile, potential challengers continue to lurk, such as Aleister Black, who made his intention to conquer the top championship clear in the last episode of SmackDown.
