WWE continues to expand its business worldwide and forge new collaborations with major companies in sports entertainment, as is the case today. The company owned by Endeavor has announced a strategic alliance with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, one of the largest sports companies in the world, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
"WWE and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), one of the world's leading sports and entertainment companies, have announced a new long-term strategic alliance that brings together two iconic global entities.
The partnership will explore opportunities in multiple areas, including exclusive merchandising collaborations, original content development, community-focused programs, and regular cross-appearances between MLSE team players and WWE Superstars.
In addition, Monday Night Raw will return to the Scotiabank Arena of MLSE in Toronto on Monday, January 26. WWE Superstars will make appearances at the Toronto Maple Leafs games on Sunday, January 25, and Tuesday, January 27, while Toronto sports personalities will also be present at Monday Night Raw, which will be broadcast live on Netflix worldwide.
This long-term alliance complements the existing launch of the exclusive licensed WWE Legacy Title Belts with the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Raptors, featuring the iconic colors and official image of each team."
Alex Varga, WWE's Chief Revenue Officer, stated: "Collaborating with an iconic organization like MLSE is a natural extension of WWE's deep and growing connection with Toronto, which has included recent major events such as Money in the Bank 2024 and Elimination Chamber 2025. This allows us to create new and authentic experiences for fans and reinforce our long-term commitment to the region."
Phil King, MLSE's Chief Commercial Officer, added: "MLSE and WWE have a long and solid history together, having collaborated many times over the years to create iconic entertainment moments for our fans. We are thrilled to expand our partnership with WWE, a global leader in sports and entertainment, to create world-class content and strengthen Toronto's position as a global market leader".
MLSE boasts several top-tier teams in various North American leagues, such as the NBA (Toronto Raptors), the NHL (Toronto Maple Leafs), or the MLS (Toronto FC), in addition to owning one of Canada's most important stadiums, the Scotiabank Arena, a venue that WWE has visited five times in the last two years.
