The legacy of Sting in professional wrestling will not be limited to his illustrious career in the business, as his son Steve has started to follow in his footsteps. Trained by AEW star Darby Allin, Steve made his debut in early October at 52W Hardway, an event that combines art, music, and wrestling. Now, he is ready to compete in his first match on the independent circuit.

And this very afternoon, DEFY Wrestling has confirmed that Steve Borden will be part of the DEFY AEON card, an event set to take place on Friday, November 21 at the Washington Hall in Seattle, Washington D.C. This appearance is being promoted as his debut in an independent promotion, as his first match took place at an art exhibition.

Steve Borden will face Kiran Grey, another student of Darby Allin. DEFY AEON will also feature confirmed appearances by Bryan Keith, Cody Chhun, Jack Evans, Travis Williams, Judas Icarus, Mad Dog Connelly, Amira, Liiza Hall, Anna Beretta, Danika, Vert Vixen, and Rebel Kel, among others.

Borden played as a tight end at the University of Kentucky before embarking on his journey in professional wrestling. A journey motivated by the "emotional high" he experienced during his father's retirement match at AEW Revolution 2024, which led him to seek guidance and training from Darby Allin to enter the business.
