Tonight TNA Wrestling will celebrate a new edition of Turning Point. An event that comes just 24 hours after Mike Santana lost the company's World Championship to Frankie Kazarian in one of the biggest surprises in recent months, as the Puerto Rican bid farewell to the top gold just a month after winning it. A creative decision that could have consequences.
And, as reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Santana has not shown up for TNA's call for tonight's show nor is he responding to the company's calls. The wrestler is still scheduled to participate in the event, although everything is up in the air at this moment.
"As of 2 PM Eastern time today, Mike Santana has not arrived at tonight's PPV TNA Turning Point. The talent call time was 1 PM Eastern time. Santana, who lost the TNA title to Frankie Kazarian last night, did not show up for the scheduled autograph session after the recording," Johnson wrote.
"The word going around among the talent is that Santana has not been responding to the company's calls or text messages. TNA executives did not respond to the request for comments. Santana is scheduled to be in the main event of tonight's PPV, teaming with Steve Maclin against Kazarian and Nic Nemeth," the journalist added.
For now, Santana's absence remains a mystery, although many fans assume that the wrestler may not be satisfied with his brief world reign, especially considering the long history of overcoming obstacles that led him to the top of the company, resulting in a perfect ending at Boud For Glory 2025, which abruptly ended last night.
For now, TNA is maintaining its announced lineup, including the tag team match that was supposed to pit Santana and Steve Maclin against Frankie Kazarian and Nic Nemeth. It remains to be seen if the company will be forced to make changes or if, on the contrary, the former champion ends up appearing before the show.
