The The Last Time is Now tournament will continue tonight with two new matches belonging to the first round. With all the pairings already revealed, there is only one surprise left to be known: the mysterious opponent that Solo Sikoa will face tonight. And we may already have the name of the wrestler who will occupy the only spot we still don't know, according to a recent publication by Fightful.
"Fightful Select spoke with WWE sources who claimed that materials related to the match between Dolph Ziggler and Solo Sikoa on tonight's episode of Raw had been produced. Ziggler competed in WWE for over 15 years and now uses his real name, Nic Nemeth," the outlet wrote. "There is always the possibility that things could change, but that is the match that was being prepared internally on Monday afternoon."
If so, Nemeth would follow in the footsteps of Matt Cardona, who was revealed last Friday as the mysterious wrestler in the SmackDown tournament bracket. Cardona competed as Zack Ryder (his name in WWE), including his classic theme song "Radio." Nemeth may also reclaim his superstar name and theme "Here to Show the World" for one night.
Formerly known as Dolph Ziggler, Nemeth was always considered one of the most underrated wrestlers in WWE. After being released by the company, Nemeth began a successful stint on the independent circuit that took him to compete all over the world before joining the ranks of TNA, where he seems to have found his place.
However, unlike other former WWE talents currently under contract with TNA, Nemeth has not appeared on any shows of his former company despite both maintaining a collaboration agreement. In a recent interview, Nemeth himself pointed out that he had nothing to offer to NXT, implying that he only saw a possible appearance on the main roster. Something that could finally happen tonight, marking his return to what was once his home over two years after his departure.
