Return without a contract: Dolph Ziggler appears in WWE but remains tied to TNA

Dolph Ziggler returned for one night to WWE to be part of The Last Time is Now tournament. The former world champion received a great ovation from the fans, as well as very good reviews from the company for a job well done. "Just like with Matt Cardona/Zack Ryder the previous week, WWE sources told Fightful that Ziggler has not signed a contract with WWE. He is still considered part of TNA and has worked with a series of short-term contracts. TNA sources told us that Nemeth has preferred this method after being tied to WWE for so long," the media wrote.

The wrestler reappeared with his superstar name and his theme song "Here to Show the World". Despite receiving unanimous support from the fans, Ziggler was unable to overcome his opponent, Solo Sikoa, who ultimately emerged victorious to advance to the second round of the tournament. Nevertheless, "WWE was satisfied with his performance", as indicated by the media.

The returns of Cardona and Nemeth are further examples of WWE's new policy, more open to including talents from other companies like TNA Wrestling, with whom they have an important collaboration agreement. It is unknown if the company owned by Endeavor plans to carry out more returns like these in the short term, especially considering the media impact they usually generate.
