WWE has released a special video recorded after Raw went off the air this Monday at the Madison Square Garden, where CM Punk took the microphone to pay tribute to John Cena in his last appearance on the red brand. The scene took place after the conclusion of the segment leading to the male WarGames at Survivor Series.

With Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso still in the ring, Punk asked for the floor to address the MSG audience and acknowledge Cena's influence on several generations of talent.

"When I moved up to the main roster in 2006, John Cena was at the top. Years later, Cody Rhodes arrived and John Cena was still at the top. Later on, the Usos debuted... and John Cena was still at the top."

Punk continued emphasizing that throughout his career, every return to MSG was marked by Cena's constant presence as the face of the company. "I've come to this building dozens of times since then and up to now, and John Cena has always been at the top. Today we witnessed history: Cena performed in the best building in the world in front of the best fans, once again."

The current heavyweight champion concluded his message highlighting the emotional aspect of the moment, sharing that Cena's influence was crucial from the beginnings of many of the names now leading WWE.

"It's a special moment. I think I speak for everyone when I say it's exciting for us, because when we started here, John Cena was here. He was the one steering the ship".
