WWE carried out new tapings of its weekly show Main Event last week, just before the live broadcast of SmackDown at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado and Raw at Netflix, an event held at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The company recorded two matches that have been broadcasted in recent days on Hulu Plus and internationally on the official YouTube channel of the company. In this news article, we will provide the most detailed results of this show and the full show, which you can watch below.
- Erick Rowan (with Uncle Howdy, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, and Nikki Cross) defeated Kit Wilson in a singles match. Wilson started the fight with some confidence, even mocking his opponent after dodging his initial attacks. A shoulder tackle from Rowan brought Kit back to reality. The Brit gathered courage to attack Erick, but he quickly expelled him from the ring. Kit got back on his feet, only to find himself facing The Wyatt Sicks in full force. Cross yelled at Wilson, who promptly fled in terror, at which point Rowan ran him over with a running crossbody. Erick brought his opponent back into the ring, where he tried to finish him off with a big boot. However, Kit dodged the attack, causing his opponent to hit the corner. From that moment on, the Brit was able to launch a counterattack. Kit hit his opponent hard before applying a DDT. Rowan blocked a tornado DDT to execute a facebuster. After that, he finished off Wilson with a definitive Iron Claw Slam.
- A video recap was shown of the opener of the last episode of Monday Night Raw, which ended with John Cena teaming up with Sheamus and Rey Mysterio to face The Judgment Day in the final match of "The Greatest of All Time's" career on the red brand of WWE.
- Next, a video recap was shown of the segment featuring the participants in the women's WarGames on that episode of Raw, as well as Maxxine Dupri's victory over Becky Lynch to win the Women's Intercontinental Championship.
- Rusev defeated Otis (with Akira Tozawa) in a singles match. Both men started the match evenly matched. Rusev was the first to strike with a precise dropkick, but Otis quickly reacted by taking down the Bulgarian with a suplex. Otis continued his offense with a corner splash, followed by a bodyslam. The Alpha Academy member tried to crush Rusev once again in one of the corners, but his opponent dodged, causing him to hit the post head-on. This allowed the Bulgarian to regain control of the fight. Rusev came close to victory after surprising Otis with a spinning heel kick. Furious, the Bulgarian focused his punishment on Otis' back before delivering a flurry of kicks. Rusev used the ropes and corners to continue damaging his opponent. With the support of Tozawa and the fans, Otis found the strength to fight back, knocking down his opponent with a clothesline, starting a counterattack that ended with a corner splash. Rusev fell to the mat, giving Otis the opportunity to finish him off with a Caterpillar to the delight of the fans. However, the Bulgarian rolled out to ringside to avoid it. A frustrated Tozawa approached him to reprimand him. "Where are you going? Come back! Come back right now!" exclaimed the Japanese wrestler. Tired of hearing him, Rusev grabbed his head and threw him into the nearby post. Otis quickly took his revenge by throwing Rusev into the public barrier. He then brought him back into the ring to crush him once again against one of the corners. This allowed him to finally apply his Caterpillar. However, Rusev interrupted the subsequent three count. Otis then decided to prepare for a Vader Bomb, but Rusev quickly got up to surprise him, attacking his eyes before slamming him to the mat with a powerbomb. A Machka Kick ended all resistance from his opponent.
- The show concluded with a video recap of the main event segment of Monday Night Raw, with the returns of Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns in the midst of the chaos created by the participants of the men's WarGames.
