The Continental Classic of this year already has confirmed participants. During the Selection Show broadcasted this Monday, Tony Schiavone announced the complete list of wrestlers and the final composition of the two leagues of the tournament.

The mix of styles, generations, and rivalries promises an especially intense tournament, with wrestlers who already know what it's like to shine in long rounds and others who seek to make the definitive leap in a competition that set the bar very high last year. Below you can see the two lists of wrestlers:

  • Gold League: Darby Allin, PAC, Kevin Knight, Speedball Mike Bailey, Kyle Fletcher, and Kazuchika Okada.
  • Blue League: Konosuke Takeshita, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, and Máscara Dorada.

Schiavone himself also revealed the complete tournament schedule. The action will begin this Wednesday on Dynamite and will continue this Thursday in a special AEW Collision Thanksgiving edition. The league phase will extend over five weeks, spread between Dynamite and Collision in thematic editions such as Winter is Coming, Holiday Bash, or Galaxycon.

The finals of both leagues and the grand final for the Continental Championship will be held at Worlds End on December 27, from the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. A stage already familiar for the big year-end closings in AEW.

The defending champion is Kazuchika Okada, who conquered the inaugural tournament by defeating Will Ospreay in the 2024 final and has held the title since March 20, 2024. In this tournament, he will seek to defend the title.
