According to Dave Meltzer, all current signs point towards a possible return to WWE, although Jericho has not yet made a final decision. The company has shown real interest in turning his comeback into a final chapter with its own narrative, something reserved only for figures of his caliber. "The decision is entirely Jericho's, but the clues clearly point to WWE," Meltzer pointed out. "They have offered him a retirement storyline, and that's what they would like to do with him."

From an economic standpoint, the move would also be monumental. Sources consulted by Fightful Select indicate that WWE would be willing to offer him several million dollars per year. They believe that AEW could easily match that figure, but it will all depend on what Jericho wants for this final stretch of his career. His contract with AEW ends in late 2025, provided it is not frozen or renewed, and his absence since April represents the longest period without appearing on screen since signing with the company.
