After AEW revealed in Dynamite that Darby Allin was hospitalized last week, more details about his situation are starting to emerge. The wrestler was injured during his match against Kevin Knight, although it has not yet been determined at what exact moment the injury occurred.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, Allin did come out damaged from the encounter, and there is suspicion that the hardest blow may have come after receiving a coast-to-coast dropkick from Knight. However, the Wrestling Observer contributor made it clear that he cannot confirm it one hundred percent.

Darby did get injured in the match, but we don't know at what moment it was. He wasn't hospitalized all week, he was discharged and was able to return home. The exact injury is still unknown.

What is known is that Allin has not remained hospitalized during all these days, and he finally received medical clearance to travel back home. However, the exact nature of the injury remains undisclosed.

Regarding his continuity in the Continental Classic, the feeling conveyed by Alvarez last night is that AEW really isn't sure if he will be able to continue competing. The update announced for this Saturday on Collision would be completely legitimate: it will be decided based on how he evolves over the next few hours.

So far, Darby Allin had competed in a match in the Blue League group of the tournament. However, he had not yet scored any points. We will see if Tony Khan decides to wait or announce another participant.
