After reappearing at Full Gear to help Hangman Page against The Opps, Swerve Strickland confirmed at AEW Collision his intention to join -for one night- Page to confront Samoa Joe and The Opps members and end them once and for all.
Strickland explained that he understands that Page needs a "desperate" person to face the common threat. Although he made it clear that he doesn't forget their differences, he agreed to accompany him this Wednesday at AEW Dynamite Winter is Coming. But he warned that, after that night, both will have to have a serious conversation about what comes next. "One night and only one night. After that, you and I will have to talk for real," Strickland stated.
The moment heated up when Josh Alexander interrupted to challenge Strickland to an individual match for the Collision edition of Winter is Coming in Cardiff. However, before he could respond, Katsuyori Shibata, on behalf of The Opps, attacked Strickland's knee and left him lying on the mat, compromising his return to action.
Minutes later, the clash was confirmed: next Wednesday, on Dynamite Winter is Coming, Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page will face Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs in a tornado tag team match, a no rules format that promises absolute chaos and reviving recent tensions.
