The identity of the masked attacker who stormed into Survivor Series: WarGames continues to be one of the most discussed enigmas by fans. However, despite his name circulating strongly on social media due to his legacy and history with WWE, Chris Jericho is not part of the plan. This was made clear by Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
According to Meltzer, WWE has deliberately played with ambiguity by using various performers under the hood to mislead the audience, but Jericho is not in the equation. Not now, nor as an internal option.
Theory has not been the only person under the mask carrying out the attacks with the curb stomp. Until the final revelation, it could be anyone. Obviously, the biggest pop would be Jericho, but I was told - and I already expected it - that there is a zero percent chance that it is Jericho. At least not this week. In wrestling, anything is possible, but for now, it's not in the plans.
The attacker debuted at WarGames taking out CM Punk with a Curb Stomp, a move historically associated with Seth Rollins. Since then, he has repeated his ambushes on RAW, attacking names like LA Knight and Rey Mysterio.
In recent weeks, the masked individual's identity has been portrayed by different wrestlers to further confuse the audience. Bryan Alvarez recently confirmed that Montez Ford, one of the names rumored in a previous report, was not responsible for the December 8 appearance. Austin Theory has also been mentioned, although there is no official confirmation.
