As always, we invite you to comment on the article to give your opinion on what happened in the show.
WWE Raw on Netflix begins!
We see a video recap of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event with John Cena's retirement tour finale.
Gunther is the one to open the show. Fans greet him with loud boos. "The Ring General" smiles as he heads to the ring. However, before that, he decides to climb onto the commentary table to pose, earning even more boos. The Austrian enters the ring, where he asks for a microphone. Gunther poses again, this time in one of the corners, reveling in the audience's disdain. "You stink!" chant the fans. "You gave up!" they add. Gunther tries to speak, but the boos don't let him. Gunther laughs, enjoying the moment. "I did what I said I would do. I made John Cena surrender!", he exclaims. "And when he surrendered, he did it like a little bitch", he adds before leaving the ring.
Gunther turns around to return to the ring and pose once again in one of the corners as the boos continue. "You stink!" chant the fans. Satisfied, "The Ring General" heads back to the backstage area. However, once again, he turns to head towards the top of the commentary table, where he takes a microphone. "I made John Cena surrender like a little bitch! Now it's my time! I will always be the man who made John Cena surrender!", he exclaims before heading backstage for the umpteenth time.
Gunther crosses the Gorilla Position with a big smile on his face. Suddenly, he encounters Akira Tozawa and Otis. "You're feeling pretty good, aren't you?" a annoyed Otis asks. A smiling Gunther responds affirmatively before continuing on his way. The Austrian meets R-Truth, who doesn't hesitate to confront him. "You're a piece of trash", says R-Truth. Gunther ignores him to continue on his way until he meets Adam Pearce. Pearce reprimands him for his behavior tonight, especially for mocking the legacy of a man who he knows won't be coming back. "Doing that doesn't make you The Ring General. It makes you an asshole", says Pearce before showing him the way out, as the night is over for him. "I was heading there anyway," responds the Austrian before continuing.
Upon arriving at the parking lot, Gunther encounters AJ Styles leaning on his car. "Do you have something to tell me?" asks the Austrian. AJ Styles remains silent before gesturing for him to continue on to his vehicle. Gunther gets into his car and drives off. However, before leaving, he stops next to "The Phenomenal One" and rolls down the window. "By the way, AJ," says Gunther before making the "You Can't See Me" gesture. The Austrian laughs as he leaves the venue. AJ Styles watches in silence. And so we reach the end of the first segment of the night.
We see the arrival at the venue of some of tonight's protagonists: The Vision in full, Stephanie Vaquer, American Made, and CM Punk.
The Usos make their entrance, coming down through the audience. Jimmy and Jey Uso interact with the fans as they head to the ring. The fans ask for an encore, but the arrival of their opponents prevents it.
Tag Team Match
The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) (with Grayson Waller)
Both teams face off in the center of the ring as the bell rings. Kingston and Jimmy start the match. Jimmy and Kofi keep it even in the early stages. Jimmy takes the lead before tagging in Jey. He crushes his opponent before continuing his offense. However, Xavier surprises him with a clothesline from the apron to turn the tables.
Kingston attacks Jey on the commentary table before bringing him back into the ring. Xavier executes a Guillotine Legdrop on Jey in classic Undertaker style. Woods kicks his opponent before punishing him with the help of the ropes. The referee separates Xavier from his opponent, a moment that Waller takes advantage of to illegally strike the Samoan.
Jey throws a series of punches, but Woods stops his momentum with a direct kick to the stomach. Kofi receives the tag to continue punishing Jey. He escapes from the Ghanaian to tag in Jimmy, who enters with full force. Jimmy knocks Xavier in his own corner before hitting Kofi with an enzuigiri. Jimmy crushes Kofi with a Running Hip Attack. Jimmy looks for height, but Grayson distracts him, allowing Kofi to push him to the ground. The New Day regains control.
Kingston and Woods take turns kicking Jimmy in their corner. Kofi assists his partner to execute a direct dropkick to Jimmy's face. 1..2..NO. Xavier takes his opponent to one of the corners to hang him upside down by the legs. Kofi lunges at him, but the Samoan dodges, causing his opponent to impact against the post with his groin. Jimmy finally manages to escape from his opponents to tag in his brother.
Jey enters the ring to unleash an offensive. Jey knocks down Woods with a superkick. 1..2..NO. Xavier seeks refuge at ringside, but quickly receives the impact of a suicide dive. Jey brings him back into the ring, where he dives with a Uso Splash with his opponent standing. 1..2..NO. Jey and Woods exchange attacks. Xavier surprises the Samoan with a superkick. 1..2..NO. Kingston receives the tag.
The New Day combines perfectly against the Samoan. Kofi traps Jey in a wristlock. Jey tries to reach his corner, but his opponent throws several elbows to prevent it. Xavier receives the tag to apply a legdrop. 1..2..NO. Woods kicks his opponent in the face to taunt him. Jey recovers to unleash a flurry of punches. However, Waller grabs his legs to make him stumble. The referee senses what just happened and expels the Australian from ringside.
Woods protests, at which point he receives a superkick in stereo from The Usos. Kofi tries to intervene, only to receive the same attack. Jimmy and Jey apply a second stereo superkick to Xavier before finishing him off with a double Uso Splash on Xavier. 1..2..NO. "This is amazing!" chant the fans. The Usos stalk Woods as he stands up with the help of the ropes. Kingston grabs Jey's legs to pull him out of the ring and throw him against the metal stairs. Meanwhile, Woods expels Jimmy from the ring before executing a tornado DDT directly onto the floor.
The New Day brings Jimmy back into the ring to finish him off with the Midnight Hour. 1..2..NO. Jey interrupts the count. The New Day gets rid of Jey before preparing Jimmy for a new finisher. Jimmy pushes Xavier against his corner to escape his clutches. Kofi lunges at him, but the Samoan receives him with a superkick. Jimmy applies another superkick, this time to Woods, who ends up at ringside. Jey gets rid of Xavier with a spear. Meanwhile, Jimmy applies another spear to Kingston, whom the Samoans finish off with the 1D.
Winners: The Usos
The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) carry out a video promo. "IYO SKY, you betrayed me. You betrayed your own family!", exclaims Asuka. "I wanted you. Asuka wanted you, IYO," adds Sane. "All you had to do was apologize and acknowledge me as your senpai. I would have let you come back, but instead, you chose Rhea Ripley, even after she disrespected me. Now both of you will know nothing but pain. On January 5, in Brooklyn, The Kabuki Warriors will end Rhea and IYO and retain our Tag Team Championships!", exclaims Asuka to end the video.
Byron Saxton interviews Dominik Mysterio in the audience area. Saxton asks the double champion about his feelings after John Cena's retirement. Mysterio assures that he feels great knowing that the legend will not return to fight, as he will be remembered as the last man to defeat "The Greatest of All Time" for a championship. And that makes him the greatest Mysterio of all time and the best Intercontinental Champion in history. However, what excites him the most is knowing that tonight Raquel Rodriguez will defeat Stephanie Vaquer to bring more gold to The Judgment Day. And not only that, he knows that Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh feel the same way, as they also have their sights set on the tag team championships. Byron wishes the faction luck for tonight. "We don't need luck! We are champions!", exclaims Dominik before leaving.
We move backstage, where Logan Paul and Bronson Reed boast about the brutal attack they launched on LA Knight last week. Bron Breakker approaches his teammates to remind them that "The Megastar" is no longer a problem. Now they must focus on CM Punk, who is here tonight, and whom they must destroy. Logan believes that the mysterious hooded figure will also show up. Paul Heyman asks Logan about the hooded figure. "The Maverick" in turn asks "The Oracle" about the hooded figure's identity. Heyman assures him that it is something he doesn't know. That said, he reminds his teammates that LA Knight's friends are looking for Logan and Reed for what happened last week, while CM Punk wants to get his hands on Breakker. And if the hooded figure is somehow on The Vision's side, he won't hesitate to accept the help. Bron asks Heyman to speak in private. Breakker makes it clear that if CM Punk shows up, he will end him. Heyman, however, advises him not to, as if he takes him out of the way, he won't be able to face him on January 5. Paul asks him to wait 21 days. And when the time finally comes, he will be able to snatch the Heavyweight World Championship from his enemy. Heyman leaves the place rehearsing Bron's presentation as the new champion. Logan approaches Breakker to ask him to help him warm up for his match against Rey Mysterio tonight. A resigned Bron reluctantly agrees.
IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley make their entrance. The Japanese heads to the ring while "Mami" poses next to the audience barrier. Suddenly, something catches her attention. It's Asuka, who spits the Poison Mist directly in her face! A blinded Rhea ends up next to a ring post writhing in pain. SKY rushes to her aid, only for Kairi Sane to fall on her with a Diving Forearm. Asuka kicks IYO. The Kabuki Warriors throw SKY against the metal stairs. Ripley tries to counterattack, but can barely see. Sane dodges an attack from the Australian to respond with a back fist. Asuka finishes her off with a sliding Penalty Kick. The champions bring Rhea into the ring. Several officials appear on the scene, but the attackers don't let them get close to "Mami". Asuka immobilizes Ripley, allowing Kairi to dive with an Insane Elbow. However, IYO returns just in time to cover the Australian, receiving the impact in her place. The officials finally manage to expel The Kabuki Warriors from the ring. Asuka and Sane leave satisfied while Rhea and SKY are attended to in the ring.
The officials help IYO and Ripley return backstage during the next Netflix commercial break.

Adam Pearce talks with Je'Von Evans backstage. The General Manager congratulates the NXT talent for his great performance at Saturday Night's Main Event when they are interrupted by El Grande Americano and Los Americanos (Bravo and Rayo). El Grande Americano greets Pearce cordially before indicating (in Spanish) that he has a question to ask. "Why wasn't there an opportunity for Los Americanos at Saturday Night's Main Event, dude? Look, Los Americanos are the future, but instead... I know, dude, that you like that NXT guy. Je'Von Evans, right?", asks the former WWE Speed champion. Evans interrupts him, pointing out that he understands enough Spanish to know that he is speaking ill of him and NXT, so there is a possibility that he will end up eating his words. Adam intervenes to steer the discussion towards the topic of opportunities. That's why he proposes that Je'Von face one of the masked men next week. Pearce asks who among them wants to face the young NXT talent. Rayo doesn't hesitate and steps forward. "Alright, man. I'm very proud of you, dude," says El Grande Americano. Pearce informs them that the match will take place on next week's show. "It's official," says Adam in Spanish before leaving. Je'Von and Rayo come face to face as the segment comes to an end.
Byron Saxton interviews Alpha Academy (Otis and Akira Tozawa) in the crowd area. Saxton congratulates them on their partner Maxxine Dupri’s first successful title defense. An ecstatic Tozawa shouts at the top of his lungs that it was incredible. Otis, for his part, wants to get something off his chest and believes this is a good place and a good time to do it. Otis points out that John Cena has taught him a lot. In fact, he reminds him a lot of his father. Both taught him the importance of hard work by leading through example. His father also taught him that he must show respect to everyone. And that is something Gunther has not done tonight. That is why he proclaims himself the spokesperson of the roster to send a message to the Austrian: either he shuts his mouth or Otis will take care of doing it himself.
CM Punk makes his entrance. “The Best in the World” heads straight to the ring without stopping to greet the fans. CM Punk takes a microphone, removes the Raw logo from it, and tosses it to Joe Tessitore. The World Heavyweight Champion steps into the ring to begin his promo. CM Punk points out that over the last two weeks he was forced to stay at home because he did not have medical clearance. All because of the attack he suffered at Survivor Series: WarGames. During those two weeks, he had to watch from home as Bron Breakker cut promos about him. “Bron Breakker, cross-eyed Neanderthal and spoiled brat. You come out here, in front of everyone, puffing out your chest, to express how angry you are because I tried to end your career and break your neck at WarGames. I understand that intelligence isn’t exactly common in your family, but you didn’t sign up for Board Games, you signed up for War Games,” says CM Punk.
CM Punk congratulates him on his victory, but he doesn’t understand why Bron feels disappointed by what Punk considers an easy victory over “The Best in the World.” Nor does he understand why Breakker asks for the return of Punk’s 2011 version, when the truth is that Breakker was only able to defeat his 2025 version with the help of The Vision, Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, and even a mysterious hooded man. “Congratulations, Bronny. You pinned me, which puts you in line for a title opportunity. But you didn’t do it alone, did you?”
CM Punk reminds him that Paul Heyman has burned numerous talents throughout his career—talents in whom he saw potential and whom he pushed so hard that they were crushed under the bright lights. In fact, if he were given ten cents every time he found himself in the ring with a talent destined to be the next great generational superstar, his pockets would now be full of coins. “And speaking of coins, if you mention my wife’s name again, this will go from business to personal faster than you can run, and you won’t make it to the title because I’ll rip your eyes out of your face and piss on your brain with a single-digit IQ!” CM Punk exclaims.
After this warning, CM Punk reminds him that they will face each other on January 5. He would like to ask him to show up to the match alone to face “The Best in the World” in a clean one-on-one, but he knows he won’t. And not because he lacks balls, but because he doesn’t believe in himself enough to carry the world gold, much less the weight of WWE on his shoulders. CM Punk assures him that it doesn’t matter how much help he has on January 5. “Bring Paul Heyman. Bring The Vision. Bring your mysterious masked man. Bring the National Guard. Hell, I want you to call your idiot father and your even dumber brother, Scott. Bring them to Brooklyn. You’re going to need them all. You’re going to need every bit of help possible to have even the slightest chance of beating me for this title,” says CM Punk. “And when I win and you wake up to see that Paul Heyman has abandoned you for the next big thing, that Bronson Reed has lowered himself to filming TikTok videos with a scammer YouTuber, and that your mysterious masked man hasn’t shown his face because he’s ashamed to be involved in all of this, the only two people you’ll have left will be the idiot and the even bigger idiot: your father and his brother. And the three of you will find out in real time that even with Steiner math, 1..2..3 means that you lose and I win. And STILL World Heavyweight Champion, The Best in the World, C-M-PUNK!” he exclaims to end his promo. CM Punk poses with the gold before leaving the ring to celebrate with the fans.
Dominik Mysterio is talking with his Judgment Day stablemates in the faction’s “clubhouse.” Dom can’t hide his desire for The Vision to finally finish off his father once and for all. That would be a great Christmas gift for him. Liv Morgan hopes to celebrate with everyone, which leads her to wonder where Finn Bálor is. Mysterio informs her that he is accompanying JD McDonnagh, who will be out for some time. Morgan laments hearing that, but tonight they must focus on staying positive, because Raquel Rodriguez will become the new World Champion. Liv and Roxanne Rodriguez approach Raquel to offer to be in her corner tonight. Rodriguez thanks them for the offer and for always supporting her. However, she wants to take care of Stephanie Vaquer on her own. Morgan respects her teammate’s wish, hoping she can bring the gold to the faction. Meanwhile, she and Perez will focus on the tag team championships. Roxy is eager to go after them, but first she’ll have to deal with Bayley. When she does, both “The Role Model” and her partner Lyra Valkyria will be out of the title picture. Raquel is glad to have Liv back. Now it’s her turn to do the same with the world championship. With that said, she heads to the ring to end the segment.

Raquel catches her in midair and counters with a reversed Stalling Suplex. 1..2..NO. The Texan traps the champion in one of the corners, where she rains down a relentless series of elbows. Raquel brings her opponent down to the mat and delivers several elbowdrops. 1..2..NO.
Rodriguez traps Vaquer in a headlock. “La Primera” tries to break free, but her rival grabs her by the hair and slams her to the mat. “Get up!” the Texan shouts as she kicks the champion. Stephanie tries to catch Rodriguez with a sleeper hold. However, Raquel quickly shakes her off and locks her into another submission hold.
Stephanie manages to recover and applies a Dragon Screw to her rival in one of the corners. Rodriguez counters with several corner spears. Vaquer tries to trap her in an armbar using the ropes, but the Texan drags her to the center of the ring to execute a one-armed powerbomb. Stephanie avoids a Vader Bomb and fires back with a superkick, followed by a side suplex. Vaquer traps her rival to apply the Devil’s Kiss. Rodriguez retreats to one of the corners, where she eats a running meteora.
Stephanie looks for her finisher, but her opponent escapes and responds with a clothesline. The action moves to the corner. Vaquer surprises Raquel with an armbar. Rodriguez escapes to ringside to break free. Vaquer dives onto Raquel, but Raquel catches her in midair. Stephanie slips out of her grasp and sends her into the ring post. Suddenly, Nikki Bella jumps the barricade to attack both women!
Match ruled no contest
Nikki throws Stephanie into the barricade before taking her back into the ring, where she hits a Rack Attack 2.0. “I’m Nikki Bella!” she shouts at the fans. Nikki approaches Stephanie. “Don’t forget who I am!” she yells at the Chilean before heading back backstage.
Adam Pearce is talking with Paul Heyman in his office. The General Manager asks him once again who is hiding under the hood of the mysterious attacker. “Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Nick Aldis. Fine, fine, it’s Bruno Sammartino,” Heyman replies before reiterating that he doesn’t know his true identity. However, he doesn’t care in the slightest as long as he keeps helping The Vision. Heyman apologizes to Adam, but says he has a match to attend to. Paul leaves, and that’s when Rhea Ripley appears, still blinded after tonight’s attack. “I want Asuka,” says the Australian. “How about next week?” Adam asks. “Perfect,” Rhea replies. “It’s official,” says Pearce. “Good,” responds “Mami” before walking away.
Rey Mysterio runs into CM Punk backstage. The two slap hands in greeting. “The Best in the World” reminds him that he’s been dealing with The Vision for quite some time, so he knows very well that they won’t hesitate to use tricks tonight. That’s why he promises to have Rey’s back if needed. Mysterio thanks him and heads toward the ring. “Punch that guy in the face,” CM Punk says as the masked man walks away.
Jackie Redmond interviews AJ Styles and Dragon Lee backstage. Redmond asks them about The Usos’ return to the tag team division and their match against The New Day tonight. AJ Styles acknowledges that the Samoans are an excellent team and that tonight we witnessed a new chapter in a great rivalry. However, they are still the champions. Lee reminds everyone that they will defend the World Tag Team Championships against any team, promising to bring the fire to the ring. AJ Styles agrees with his partner and even suggests going to talk to Adam Pearce about their next defense. Both men head toward the General Manager’s office.
Nikki Bella storms onto the scene to send a direct message to the women’s division of the red brand. It seems that most of the women on the roster have forgotten to thank her for paving the way. “I’m a legend in this industry. Stephanie and Raquel, you should be cleaning my boots”, Bella says before leaving.
Bayley congratulates Maxxine Dupri backstage, assuring her that she’s very proud of her. Dupri hugs her, saying that her words mean a lot to her. With that said, Maxxine shows her hand, revealing a bloody finger, pointing out that she needs to clean it. Bayley understands and says goodbye. Lyra Valkyria approaches her partner to ask how she’s feeling after what happened on Saturday. Bayley admits that it’s not fun losing to a less experienced opponent, which makes her wonder if Asuka might have been right about her. Valkyria wonders if a single loss is enough to make Bayley doubt herself. “That’s not the Bayley I watched growing up,” Lyra says before shoving her. “That’s not the Bayley I’ve come to know, nor the tag partner I’ve grown to love and need. Maybe Asuka was right about one thing: you’re an idiot,” Lyra says. Suddenly, Bayley shoves her back. “Oh yeah? Well, the only idiot here is you if you think a loss to a rookie is going to stop me from destroying Roxanne Perez next week! Something you couldn’t do, idiot!” shouts “The Role Model” before walking away. Lyra smiles, satisfied that she got what she wanted. “There it is,” she says as the segment comes to an end.
Rey Mysterio vs. Logan Paul (with Paul Heyman)
Logan removes his headband and throws it at Rey, who uses it to wipe his boots. Paul mocks his opponent before driving him into one of the corners. Mysterio slaps him. Logan tries to strike back, but the masked man dodges. Rey escapes to ringside, taunting his rival to come after him. “The Maverick” doesn’t hesitate. Mysterio slides back into the ring and then kicks his opponent as he steps onto the apron.
Logan returns to halt Rey’s offense with a big boot. Paul continues to control the match. Paul sends Mysterio into one of the corners. The Mexican’s belt comes loose from his gear. However, Rey blocks him and executes a sunset flip powerbomb. Logan crashes to ringside, where he’s hit by a sliding splash. Mysterio rolls him back into the ring, at which point Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker appear on the entrance ramp.
CM Punk appears behind them. “The Best in the World” attacks them with a steel chair, forcing them to retreat backstage. Meanwhile, Logan and Rey continue fighting. Heyman hands Logan a pair of brass knuckles, which he tries to use on Mysterio. Rey dodges the blow, sending his opponent stumbling into the ropes. Rey connects with a 619. The referee checks on Logan while the mysterious hooded man reappears to surprise the Mexican with a stomp against the apron. Logan finishes Rey off with a frog splash. 1..2..3.
Winner: Logan Paul
Logan goes on the defensive, never taking his eyes off the mysterious hooded man, who stands on the apron. “Who are you?” “The Maverick” asks over and over again, receiving no answer. At that moment, CM Punk returns with a steel chair. Logan and the hooded man flee the ring. The mysterious attacker stops on the steps in the crowd, where he finally reveals his identity: IT’S AUSTIN THEORY!
CM Punk is distracted by the revelation, allowing Bron Breakker to return and surprise him with a spear. Breakker picks up the World Heavyweight Championship and crouches beside its rightful holder. “You’re right. This is business. If you talk about my family again, you won’t get back up”, Bron says before posing with the gold over his victim. And with that, this week’s episode comes to an end.
