Live Report of WWE NXT December 16, 2025

WWE NXT begins on Netflix!

We see a video recap of Saturday Night's Main Event, where several NXT talents shared the spotlight with the main WWE roster. Next, a video recap of the main event of the last weekly NXT episode is shown, where Ricky Saints prevented Je'Von Evans from winning the brand's top championship.

The show starts with an impatient Je'Von Evans waiting for Ricky Saints' arrival in the parking lot of the venue. Ava approaches him to suggest calming down and accompanying her inside the building, where they can talk calmly about what happened last week. The General Manager urges him to hurry as the first match of the night is about to begin. However, Je'Von refuses to accompany her. "My night is off to a great start," says a resigned Ava as she heads back inside the venue.

Match for the NXT Women's North American Championship
Blake Monroe (c) vs. Thea Hail

Blake tries to surprise Thea with a big boot as soon as the bell rings. Hail dodges it to respond harshly, focusing her offense on Monroe's left arm. She surprises Thea with a shotgun dropkick to take control. The Brit applies a Blake-Go-Round to the challenger. 1..2..NO. Hail recovers to take down Blake, who she kicks with a Penalty Kick. After that, Thea performs a standing moonsault. 1..2..NO.

Thea kicks Monroe out of the ring with a dropkick before launching herself with a suicide dive that partially hits the champion. Hail brings Blake back into the ring to continue attacking her. Monroe traps Hail to throw her against one of the turnbuckles. After that, she applies a painful armbar with the help of the ropes. The referee has to intervene to separate her from her victim.

Blake kicks Thea before performing a suplex on her. 1..2..NO. "¡Thea, Thea!" the fans chant. The champion taunts her opponent before kicking her left arm. Blake continues to damage her rival's limb to then catch her in a painful submission hold on the mat. The audience cheers for Hail, who manages to free herself. However, she soon receives a lariat. 1..2..NO.

Monroe catches Thea in a submission hold again. Hail frees herself by applying a headbutt. Thea unleashes a furious counterattack that ends with a combo of bodyslam + spinning senton + springboard back senton. Hail lands forcefully on her opponent, whom she covers. 1..2..3. Monroe raises her shoulder with great effort, but not enough for the referee to interrupt the count. Confusion reigns in the venue, especially when Monroe's music starts playing. The official points to Thea as the winner.

Winner and NEW NXT Women's North American Champion: THEA HAIL

Thea clings to the championship unable to contain her excitement. Meanwhile, an incredulous Blake watches helplessly as her belt changes hands. Hail celebrates in the ring as the segment comes to an end.

The Culling (Shawn Spears, Izzi Dame, and Niko Vance) arrive at their meeting place. As they walk, Spears is convinced that Tatum Paxley has been crying non-stop since NXT Deadline. Suddenly, he notices a doll on one of the chairs. "What's that?" he asks. "It's supposed to be me," says Niko as he picks it up. Izzi points out that it was Paxley who placed it there because she can't get over what happened to her. "If she knew what was best for her, she would move on, which is what we are doing. Correct the mistake and it's over," says Dame before leaving with Shawn. Vance puts the doll back on the chair to follow his companions. And so we reach the end of this brief segment.

Ethan Page makes his entrance into the ring. "All Ego" doesn't understand why everyone is focused on a former WWE champion's retirement that took place on Saturday and not on the back attack a current champion suffered last week. The same champion who has unlimited potential and will generate more revenue than anyone has ever achieved for the company. The same champion with a back so strong that it can withstand the weight of the entire industry. "Now, that back was almost broken last week, and no one cares. WHY?", he asks. However, the real question is why he was attacked. Was it out of envy? Because he has become a pillar of NXT? Because his reign as North American Champion has overshadowed any previous reign? Ethan makes it clear that he didn't provoke his attacker, so there's no reason for what happened. However, it doesn't matter anymore. He's here to get the answer directly from his attacker. "I'm here to get my answers. So come out of the dark shadow you're hiding in. It's time for you to come out here, Tony D'Angelo!", exclaims "All Ego".

Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Arianna Grace interrupt the promo.

"Stacks" knows he's not the man they were expecting to see. As for D'Angelo, he doesn't know what led him to attack "All Ego," and frankly, he doesn't care. Lorenzo enters the ring with Arianna, who carries the TNA International Championship as if it were a fashion accessory. "Stacks" reminds her that he has been competing in the Anthem Media company, where he has achieved great things. "I know with those glasses you can see my beautiful and exotic queen carrying my TNA International Championship. Arianna, she has expensive tastes. And what she asked me for Christmas is more gold," says Channing before revealing his intention to snatch Ethan's two current championships. Page laughs, wondering if "Stacks" thinks he can come and demand anything from him. Lorenzo points out that he just wants to add more gold to the waists of the hottest couple in all of NXT.

Moose bursts onto the scene!

The TNA talent enters the ring to confront Lorenzo, who backs away to one of the corners while protecting Arianna. Moose regrets that history is repeating itself once again, with an NXT talent holding a TNA championship. Ethan considers that this has nothing to do with him and prepares to leave the ring. "Stacks, someone will take care of you, but today is your lucky day because I am completely focused on Ethan Page," says Moose. Page stops, surprised, on the ropes. "Ethan, I'm here to take one of the most prestigious titles in NXT from you and take it with me to TNA," says Moose. Page points out that there are rules in NXT that must be followed, so he suggests dealing with this matter with Ava. Moose informs him that he already has. Both the General Manager and Santino Marella have given the green light, so "All Ego" will defend the gold against Moose on the December 30 episode of NXT. Ethan throws a punch at Moose. He blocks it to respond with one from his own arsenal. After that, he expels "All Ego" from the ring with a clothesline. Moose picks up the NXT North American Championship to pose with it while a furious Ethan reproaches him from the entrance ramp. And so we reach the end of this segment.

We return to the venue's parking lot, where Leon Slater tries to convince Je'Von Evans to enter the building. Slater points out that he needs his friend by his side tonight. However, Evans continues to wait for Ricky Saints' arrival. Leon insists. Je'Von reminds him that he would be NXT Champion if not for "The Absolute." Slater understands, but he also knows that Evans will have his moment once again. However, now it's he who has an opportunity within reach, and he needs his friend by his side. Je'Von finally agrees to his companion's request, who urges him to hurry as it's cold outside.

Tag Team Match
OTM (Lucien Price and Bronco Nima) vs. Hank Walker and Tank Ledger

Ledger and Nima start the fight. Bronco throws his opponent against one of the turnbuckles. Tank returns to his rival, who is quickly taken down with a tackle. Ledger surprises Nima, carrying him against his corner. Walker receives the tag to catch Bronco in a headlock. Tank returns, but is once again taken down by Nima. OTM team up against Ledger, who receives a stomp from Bronco.

Lucien takes down Ledger with a powerslam. Tank surprises Price with several kicks before tagging in Hank. Both combine against Lucien, focusing their offense on his left arm. Hank and Tank crush Price in their corner. Lucien responds harshly. OTM team up once again against Walker. He hits Nima's head against two turnbuckles before teaming up with Tank. Price tries to intervene, but can't do anything against his opponents.

Hank and Tank unleash a flurry of punches on their opponents in opposite corners. Lucien and Nima quickly stop the attack, carrying them over their shoulders to the center of the ring. Price and Bronco hit each other before executing a double powerbomb in parallel. Nima continues punishing Ledger on the apron. Bronco kicks Tank's head on the apron.

Lucien gets the tag to combine once again with Nima. Price executes a powerslam on Ledger. Lucien takes his rival to his corner, where he slaps him. Tank fires back, but only succeeds in enraging his rivals, who unleash a flurry of attacks on the former NXT Tag Team Champion. Ledger tries to escape, but Lucien prevents it with a uranage. Tank delivers a body drop on Bronco before tagging in Walker, who comes in hot.

The match descends into chaos. Hank and Lucien take the fight to the top of one of the corners. Price hits a superplex on Hank. Both men are left laid out on the mat. Walker and Lucien crawl to their respective corners to tag in their partners. Ledger and Nima trade strikes. Tank surprises Bronco with a knee strike before trapping him in a painful submission hold. Price rescues his partner by delivering a uranage to Hank, who lands on Ledger’s back.

OTM regain control, delivering a double backbreaker to Tank. 1..2..NO. Hank breaks up the count. Nima throws Walker out of the ring before tagging in Lucien. The two execute a combined Samoan Drop on Ledger. Bronco covers him. 1..2..NO. OTM take Tank to ringside, ready to deliver a double powerbomb through the commentary table. Ledger escapes to the apron and from there launches himself with a cannonball onto his opponents.

Tank brings Price back into the ring, where he delivers a Swanton Bomb. Ledger tags in Walker and together they crush Lucien in the center of the ring. Hank and Tank prepare to finish him off, but Bronco returns to surprise the latter with a lariat. Lucien surprises Hank with a superkick. Now OTM try to finish Walker, but Ledger reappears to stop them. Hank rolls up Nima with a roll-up while Ledger holds on to Price. 1..2..3.

Winners: Hank Walker and Tank Ledger

Ricky Saints arrives at the arena. “The Absolute” heads inside the building escorted by several security guards.

Ava talks with Jasper Troy in her office. The NXT General Manager apologizes for not attending to him earlier, as she was dealing with the issue involving Je'Von Evans and Ricky Saints. Troy regrets not finishing them off when he had the chance. Ava informs the WWE Speed Champion that next week a tournament will begin to determine his next challenger. Troy says that’s good news for him, but not for the participants, because whoever wins is guaranteed destruction.

Ricky Saints makes his entrance to a ring protected by six security guards. Fans greet him with boos. Ricky begins his promo by making it clear that he will not apologize for what happened last week. Saints reminds them that he came to NXT with a single goal: to prove that he is the guy who can carry any brand. That’s why he became obsessed with being number one. And he thought he had achieved it when he defeated the man to beat: Oba Femi. However, the fans enjoyed his reign very little, because what they really wanted was to see Je'Von Evans as champion. Last week, Je'Von decided to skip the line and go straight for the championship, cutting in front of Ricky. That’s why he had to take matters into his own hands. Saints makes it clear that he won’t let anyone cut ahead of him. Ricky is convinced that Evans will have his moment, but it won’t be now, and certainly not by going ahead of him, because the young talent is not on his level. In fact, there is no one in WWE who is better than him. And there’s a reason: no one—except him—is willing to do whatever it takes to reach the top.

Suddenly, Je'Von storms the ring to attack Ricky! Security intervenes. Evans strikes them in an attempt to fight his way to Saints, but he can do nothing against the numbers game. Ricky takes advantage while Evans is being restrained to attack him. Je'Von ends up at ringside. Saints quickly goes after him and throws him into the steel steps. Ricky clears off the commentary table before grabbing Je'Von and delivering a Rochambeau through it, destroying the table. Evans writhes in pain on the floor while his former friend watches with a satisfied smile. “The Absolute” poses over Evans before leaving the area. And so this segment comes to an end.

We move to Ava’s office, where she is meeting with Sol Ruca and Zaria. The General Manager congratulates Ruca on her victory at Saturday Night’s Main Event when Ethan Page bursts onto the scene. “All Ego” confronts Ava about recent events: the theft of his car by Mr. Iguana and the attack he suffered at the hands of Tony D’Angelo. Besides, didn’t she tell Sol to stay away from Zaria? Zaria tries to confront “All Ego,” but her partner stops her. Page continues his furious rant, pointing out that today he had to deal with “Romeo and Juliet,” who want his Mixed Tag Team Championship. And that’s not even counting Moose.

Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre burst into Ava’s office. Chelsea warns Ethan to be careful, because there’s a “moose” loose in the parking lot. She then confronts Ava, accusing her of being just as bad as Nicholas (Nick Aldis) and Adam Pearce. “There’s no line you wouldn’t cross. Sabotage, sneak attacks…,” she says. Page tries to calm his partner. Ruca doesn’t understand how Ava can deal with these kinds of people. The General Manager admits she doesn’t either. Ava takes Green’s hand to make one thing very clear. “All the bad things that have happened to you are not my fault”, she says. Ethan laughs. “And what about Moose?” he asks. “Aren’t you the greatest champion of all time? Can’t you handle a moose?” Ava replies. Chelsea reminds the General Manager that her partner is a double champion. Ava knows that, and that’s why they’ll put him to the test over the next two weeks. Ethan asks if he’ll have to defend the gold two weeks in a row. Ava says no, adding that not everything revolves around him. Page will defend the North American Championship in two weeks against Moose, while Green will put the United States Women’s Championship on the line against Ruca next week. Sol is happy to hear the news. “No, no, no. Why?” asks Chelsea. “Because she beat Bayley at Saturday Night’s Main Event”, replies the General Manager, pointing at Sol. Page and Green keep complaining as the segment comes to an end.

Tag Team Match
Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid) (with Jacy Jayne) vs. WrenQCC (Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey)

Jacy Jayne joins the commentary table. Henley and Reid attack their rivals from behind to quickly take control of the match. Fallon and Lainey work together against Grey. She showcases her agility to escape from Lainey, turning the tide. Kendal traps Reid so Wren can kick her with a dropkick. The action continues with Grey applying a German suplex hold on Lainey. 1..2..NO.

Wren gets the tag to continue the assault on Reid. Reid escapes to ringside. Sinclair goes after her. Jayne leaves the commentary table to distract Wren. Sinclair manages to dodge a punch from Lainey, but can do nothing against a double kick from Fallon as she spins around one of the posts. Henley continues attacking Wren as she brings her back into the ring.

Fallon restrains Wren so Lainey can stomp her at will. Reid continues her assault on Sinclair, delivering an elbowdrop. Lainey executes a painful backbreaker on her rival before dragging her toward the ropes, where she poses with her partner. Fallon tags in to continue the attack on Sinclair. “Let’s go Wren!” chant the fans as she is trapped in a submission hold.

Henley delivers a sliding German suplex to Wren, whom Lainey finishes off with a springboard cutter. 1..2..NO. Sinclair avoids an elbowdrop, causing her opponent’s elbow to crash into the mat. Wren manages to escape Fatal Influence and tags in Kendal, who comes in hot. Grey crushes Reid with a springboard double stomp before delivering a superkick to Henley.

Reid counters a charge from Grey into a Flatliner, smashing the WWE Evolve Champion’s face into the turnbuckle. Fatal Influence regain control until Kendal surprises Fallon with a scoop powerslam. 1..2..NO. Reid breaks up the count with a running knee. The match descends into chaos, with Grey trying to trap Fallon in an armbar.

Jayne climbs onto the apron to confront Kendal. Grey releases Henley to throw a right hand at Jacy, who falls to ringside alongside Lainey. Sinclair launches herself onto both with a diving crossbody. Fallon tries to surprise Kendal, but Grey traps her once again. Henley tries to resist, but her opponent locks in a painful armbar. Fallon screams in pain. Unable to escape, the WWE Speed Champion is forced to submit.

Winners: WrenQCC

Kendal and Wren celebrate in the center of the ring as their enemies recover their breath leaning against the commentary table.

Kelly Kincaid interviews an emotional Thea Hail. She admits she hasn’t stopped crying since winning the NXT North American Championship. Hail recalls that she has been in the brand since she was 18 years old. A lot has happened during that time, but she had always wanted to win a title, and tonight she finally did it. Thea shows the belt, which still bears Blake Monroe’s side plates, but they will soon be replaced with her own. Jordynne Grace approaches Hail to congratulate her on her title win and for finding a way to defeat the Brit, something she couldn’t do. “Jordynne, I told you. You have to be positive. You have to believe. I did,” replies Thea. A dejected Blake Monroe appears to confront Thea. “Give me back the title. I didn’t lose. I kicked out at three. That referee should be fired”, says the Brit. “She’s been champion for 30 minutes. Let her enjoy her moment. Go lick your wounds somewhere else,” Grace tells “The Glamour.” “This is the worst day of my life”, Monroe tells Kincaid. “I want my rematch. Enjoy your new muscle muffin,” a saddened Blake says to Hail as she walks away. Thea looks at her championship and then at Jordynne, whom she quickly embraces. And so this segment comes to an end.

Izzi Dame arrives at the women’s locker room while talking on the phone with Shawn Spears. He tells her he can’t find Niko Vance. Dame finds a Spears doll in her locker. “I’ll call you later. This is Tatum’s doing,” Izzi says as she picks up the doll. Lola Vice approaches Dame, noting that things are looking bad for her partners. “One down, one to go,” Vice says. “I don’t remember asking for your opinion,” Izzi replies. Lola says that if she were Tatum, she’d want revenge for what they did to her. “What I did to Tatum? If I were you, I’d take your own advice,” Dame says as she throws the doll onto the locker. Izzi leaves the area. Vice then approaches Kelani Jordan, who is putting her things into her locker. Lola asks what she’s doing. Jordan confirms she’s back in the locker room she was kicked out of. She also hasn’t forgotten that it was Vice who led the rest of the women to throw her out. Lola admits it was her. “Yeah, so what?” Vice asks. “I’ve seen what envy does to people, and it doesn’t suit you,” Kelani says. “Envy of what?” Vice asks. “Lola, I’m the best superstar in this locker room. If I weren’t here, then maybe you could finally win a championship”, Jordan says. Lola laughs. “Kelani, gymnastics is nothing like MMA, and people like you and Izzi will realize that very quickly”, Vice responds. And so this segment comes to an end.

Shiloh Hill talks with Skylar Raye backstage. Both talents share their thoughts following their respective NXT debuts. At that moment, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Arianna Grace appear. Lorenzo and Grace lament being so close to earning a shot at the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships. “Stacks” blames Moose for ruining their plans. Hill asks the pair if they’ve really seen a moose, since it’s rare for them to be seen so far south. “Are you stupid?” a furious Lorenzo asks before mocking Shiloh’s teeth. Hill puts in his mouthguard. Raye defends her partner, suggesting that Channing and Arianna seek couples therapy. Grace snaps back, making it clear they are a power couple. Without meaning any offense, Shiloh reminds them that he and Skylar won the second season of WWE LFG. “Are you winners? We’re winners,” says “Stacks,” pointing to his TNA International Championship. “How about next week we show you that NXT is a whole different game than LFG?” he asks. Hill and Raye accept the challenge. DarkState appear on the scene. Channing and Arianna quickly leave to avoid any trouble. Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin, and Cutler James cheer on Dion Lennox as he heads to the ring to compete for an opportunity at the NXT Championship.
