AEW confirms Women's Tag Team Titles defense at Worlds End

AEW has confirmed a new title match for Worlds End: the Women's World Tag Team Championship will be on the line after what happened at the Holiday Bash of Dynamite and Collision special event.

The champions Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron, representing Babes of Wrath, will defend their titles against a duo of champions: TBS champion Mercedes Moné and ROH World champion Athena. The rivalry took a decisive turn on Wednesday, when Moné pinned Nightingale in the eight-woman match held at Holiday Bash.

After the victory, Athena and Moné issued the challenge backstage, making it clear that they wanted the tag team titles. The official announcement came later in the broadcast, adding the match to a card that is shaping up nicely, especially with the announcement of MJF's return to action.
