As is customary around this time of year, the main media outlets in the industry award their annual prizes to the best of the year that is about to end. The latest to do so has been Sports Illustrated with the publication of a list in which All Elite Wrestling has swept. Tony Khan's company has won a total of 10 awards, including those for best wrestlers, best event, and promotion of the year.
WWE, on the other hand, has taken the remaining four awards, including the best fight of the year and the 2025 Legacy Award, which, as it could not be otherwise, has gone to John Cena, who last week ended one of the most important careers in the history of this sport.
Below you can read the complete list of the 2025 SI Wrestling Awards:
This list is far from that of last year, in which WWE won eight awards (including the best show with WrestleMania XL, Best Story with The Bloodline, and best wrestler, which ended up in the hands of Cody Rhodes), with only two for AEW. Tony Khan, president of the big winner of 2025, publicly thanked the journalists who were part of the voting team as well as the fans of the company with the following message posted on X.
"On behalf of AEW, thanks to the fans who follow AEW, and thanks to the panel of journalists who voted AEW as the best company and recognized 8 great AEW stars, with AEW winning a total of 10 SI Wrestling awards in 2025. Congratulations to the award winners and the AEW team for these well-deserved accolades!" Khan wrote.
