Danhausen's future is once again on the table. After months of absolute silence from All Elite Wrestling, the charismatic wrestler, famous for his peculiar style and unique relationship with merchandising, is finally just weeks away from regaining his contractual freedom.
Fightful Select has confirmed that Danhausen's contract with AEW will expire in February 2026, barring a completely unexpected extension that, according to internal sources, would not make sense at this point. The company had already extended his agreement previously due to the time he spent injured, which delayed his departure even though Danhausen himself preferred the contract to simply come to an end.
According to the same sources, Danhausen "has not been backstage in a long time" and currently "is not being considered for any creative plans". His absence has become a constant during the second half of the year, reinforcing the idea that his time in AEW is essentially over.
Fightful Select has confirmed that Danhausen's contract with AEW is expiring (perhaps this time for real) in February 2026, at least according to sources within All Elite Wrestling.
With the expiration of his agreement, Danhausen will be able to operate with full independence again, especially regarding merchandising, appearances, and bookings, something that has always been an important part of his identity as a wrestler.
