Live Report of WWE NXT December 23, 2025

WWE NXT starts on Netflix!

We see the arrival of some of the night's protagonists at the venue: Thea Hail, Ricky Saints, Je'Von Evans, Ethan Page, Chelsea Green (with Alba Fyre), Sol Ruca, and Zaria.

Izzi Dame (with Shawn Spears) vs. Lola Vice

Dame quickly charges at Lola in one of the corners, where she delivers several corner spears. Vice responds promptly with a flurry of attacks. Izzi halts her momentum with a clothesline. Dame approaches her opponent, but Vice catches her in a Triangle Choke. "Submit!", chant the fans. Izzi kicks her opponent to escape. Vice quickly retaliates. Dame ends up at ringside, where she receives the impact of a diving seated senton.

Vice brings Izzi back into the ring to continue dominating the match. Dame stops her offense with a powerslam. 1..2..NO. Izzi launches several attacks on Vice, who responds with a direct kick to the stomach. Lola immobilizes her opponent in one of the corners, unleashing a flurry of kicks. Dame recovers, only for Lola to catch her in a sleeper hold. Izzi throws herself backwards to the mat to break free.

Dame blocks a kick from Lola to counter with a suplex. Izzi traps Vice in a submission hold. Lola throws her opponent into one of the corners to break free. The action continues. Vice delivers several kicks to corner her opponent. Lola prepares for a running hip attack. Dame runs towards her to prevent it, but her opponent takes her down with a german suplex. Izzi ends up in the corner, where she finally receives the running hip attack.

Dame blocks a side suplex. Spears intervenes from ringside grabbing Lola's legs. She gets distracted, allowing Izzi to surprise her with a big boot. Lola falls to ringside. Dame goes after her to bring her back into the ring. Suddenly, a sharp buzzing surprises everyone present. Several workers flee as a wall is cut open. Out comes Tatum Paxley from inside!

Armed with a chainsaw, Paxley chases Shawn, who flees in terror towards backstage. Izzi quickly returns to the ring to seek safety. Dame watches the scene in disbelief. Izzi turns to look for Vice, but she surprises her with a back fist. 1..2..3.

Winner: Lola Vice

Lola celebrates in the center of the ring when suddenly she is attacked from behind by Kelani Jordan. She ignores the referee's orders to ruthlessly kick her victim. The official finally manages to separate Jordan from Lola, who remains lying on the mat, unable to stand after the attack.

We move to the women's locker room, where we see Jordynne Grace reviewing the end of last week's match between Thea Hail and Blake Monroe. Hail appears on the scene with the North American Championship on her shoulder. Grace points out that she has watched the end of the match many times and has no doubt that the referee did his job well. Thea thanks her for her words, which mean a lot to her, but also regrets that the victory was somewhat controversial. That's why tonight she wants to address the fans as their North American Champion. "It doesn't even sound real. It's not real", Hail acknowledges. Before leaving, Hail wants to thank Jordynne for defending her against Blake last week. "It means a lot to me", says Thea. Grace assures her that she will always do it when needed. Hail thanks her once again and leaves. "¡I can do it!", she exclaims as she heads to the ring. "I better see what she has to say now," Jordynne whispers as the segment comes to an end.

Ethan Page approaches a pensive Myles Borne in the men's locker room. "All Ego" reminds Borne that he offered him several pieces of advice to steer his career towards success. However, Myles chose to ignore them. And here he is, regretting what happened while Leon Slater has what Borne desired: a title shot at New Year's Evil. Page assures him that SmackDown and Raw are not the shark-infested waters everyone claims. No. It's NXT. And if you survive here, the blue and red brands will be a walk in the park for you. "So, in 2026 think about this: either you keep rising or you step aside", says "All Ego". With that, he advises him to take note, because next week he will be able to see a true champion taking care of his business and dealing with the best of TNA. Page leaves to end the segment.

Thea Hail makes her entrance. Excited, the new North American Champion addresses the fans. Thea acknowledges that her victory last week was not without controversy. But so is the fact that no one believed she could do it. Not even herself. For a long time she has heard others express what it feels like to be a champion, but nothing can prepare you for this. "I have been the NXT North American Champion for a week, and this is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me in my life!", she exclaims with emotion. "¡You deserve it!", chant the fans.

Hail reminds the fans that they have known her since she was 18 years old. When she finished college, she found many opportunities on the horizon, but she thought she wouldn't achieve them at such a young age. However, all the decisions she has made in life have brought her to this moment. All the lessons she learned from Andre Chase, her defeats, all the title matches she couldn't win, all the friends she lost along the way. "Many people have doubted me. Many said I couldn't do this, but I believed. I believed when I needed it the most. And when you believe, and truly believe, you make history! You become the youngest NXT North American Champion in history", she exclaims. Hail acknowledges that growing up in front of the WWE Universe has been a tough process, especially being a 20-year-old girl trying to find herself. "It's been complicated, but also real. And with this title, I finally feel the confidence I was lacking. I finally feel like a mature woman! And all I want is to celebrate with each and every one of you...", she says before being interrupted.

A dejected Blake Monroe appears on the scene

"End this. Thea, it's enough," says a sorrowful Blake. She reiterates that what happened last week was a mistake, a problem she now has to deal with. Monroe throws her slippers aside to climb the metal stairs. "I never thought the number three could haunt me so much. But here we are", she says before entering the ring.

Blake approaches Thea to demand her title back. "I'm sorry Blake, but it's MY NXT North American Championship. You lost. The referee counted 'one...two...three'", says Hail. "¡Stop! We both know that referee had no idea what he was doing. I want my rematch! This is blasphemy!", exclaims "The Glamour". "Oh, Blake, you know that if you were in my place, you wouldn't grant me a rematch, but I face things head-on, so you've got it. New Year's Evil!", says Thea. "Oh, don't pity me," responds the Brit before attacking the champion. Both women start a fight in the center of the ring. Several referees appear to restore order. The officials manage to separate the two women. "The Glamour" is escorted to ringside as Hail poses with the championship on the ropes.

We see a presentation video for the upcoming WWE Speed Championship tournament match.

Sarah Schreiber interviews Sol Ruca and Zaria backstage. Sol reflects on her 2025, describing it as a year of good and bad moments. Ruca regrets losing her two championships without being defeated, but she can't blame anyone for it. On the other hand, she is grateful to have been able to compete in John Cena's farewell show in front of 19,000 fans. Additionally, she feels fortunate to have a great friend like Zaria. And defeating Chelsea Green tonight to win the United States Championship will be a much sweeter moment with the Australian by her side. "Sol, you deserve to be champion again, and I'll be out there with you to make sure that happens", says Zaria before leaving. Schreiber wishes Ruca luck to end the interview.

Tournament for a shot at the WWE Speed Championship - First round
Tavion Heights vs. Eli Knight

Knight surprises Tavion with two consecutive dropkicks to send him out of the ring. Eli leaps onto his opponent with an Asai Moonsault. After that, he brings him back into the ring, where he finishes him off with a frog splash. 1..2..NO. Heights blocks a kick to start a quick exchange of moves with Knight. He surprises Tavion again with a dropkick. Then, he performs a bodyslam before executing a quick moonsault from the front of the ropes. 1..2..NO.

Heights tries to counter, but Eli stops him with a pump kick. Then, he takes him down with a shiranui. Knight seeks height to jump with a new moonsault, but Tavion dodges it. Eli lands face-first on the mat. Heights finishes off his opponent with a belly-to-belly to cover him. 1..2..3.

Winner: Tavion Heights (2:00)

Heights congratulates Knight after the match. They shake hands and embrace as a sign of mutual respect.

Blake Monroe walks through backstage lamenting her bad luck. Jackson Drake approaches her. The WWE Evolve Champion formally introduces himself before asking her to come with him. Drake leads her to where his partners Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes are waiting. They also introduce themselves to the Brit, who quickly asks what they want from her. Drake points out that they only want to give her Christmas gifts to cheer her up a bit, since they believe she should still be the North American Champion. “Really?” asks “The Glamour.” “Yes, you got the blindest referee in the history of wrestling. When he was looking at you, I saw your shoulder above the mat. I just want to say that I believe you, Blake”, Smokes replies. Baylor describes the situation as an “Orlando Screwjob.” Drake says that none of that matters anymore, because they know that at New Year’s Evil she’ll regain the title. Ricky hopes that’s the case, but what if Thea Hail retains? That would make NXT more interesting from now until the summer. “Are you implying that I’m going to lose?” asks Monroe. “Get out of here!” she shouts at them without giving them time to respond. Drake and Baylor leave without a word. Blake stops Smokes so he can give her his gift. Smokes complies with a smile on his face. “From me,” he says before walking away.

Kelly Kincaid interviews Oba Femi and Leon Slater backstage. Kincaid recalls Femi’s great 2025. He acknowledges that it has been a successful year. A year in which he has proven himself to be “The Ruler,” not only of NXT, but of all WWE. The Nigerian assures that he brings change to the company. A change that Cody Rhodes could feel at Saturday Night’s Main Event, just as Slater will feel it at New Year’s Evil. Leon admits that this will be the most important and difficult match of his career. Slater recalls how professional wrestling came into his life thanks to his cousin, and how he began training at just nine years old. But when wrestling is all you think about, it doesn’t seem so crazy anymore. Leon admits that he had a very atypical childhood, added to the fact that he was the only male in the house, so “The Youngest in Charge” isn’t just a nickname, it’s something real. And now he’s not willing to stop. He has been breaking records since he started competing, and in two weeks he will achieve one of the big ones. Oba feels appreciation for Leon and his personal story, but assures him that at New Year’s Evil he will not have a happy ending. Slater makes it clear that he doesn’t speak just for the sake of it, and he knows Oba doesn’t either, so at New Year’s Evil they will find out which of the two speaks louder. Both men stand face to face. “We’ll see,” says a smiling Femi as he shakes hands with the TNA talent. Kincaid thanks them for their time and wishes them luck for the match. Oba and Leon remain staring each other down as the segment comes to an end.

We head to the ring, where we see Ava surrounded by numerous security members. The General Manager wants to resolve an issue that didn’t end well last week. To do so, she calls out Je’Von Evans, who doesn’t take long to make his entrance. After that, it’s time for Ricky Saints. “The Absolute” answers the call. Ricky steps into the ring, but his entrance is interrupted by Je’Von, who believes they should be fighting. Saints points out that Evans is too impulsive. And for that reason, he cannot be considered the face of this brand. Je’Von confronts Ricky for getting involved in his match against Oba Femi and costing him the victory. And all because Saints is jealous of him, because he’s not the man he claims to be. Ricky assures that he is that and much more. Moreover, he has everything it takes to be a winner, unlike Evans, who can barely express himself in public.

Je’Von believes Ricky may be right, but Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis are also right, having allowed him to compete on Raw and SmackDown—places where Saints has not yet been. Even John Cena took him into account to compete on his retirement show. A show Ricky also wasn’t part of. In fact, he wasn’t even considered. Moreover, he hasn’t asked the fans to support him over Saints. And yet they do. And now Saints wants him to stop? Can Ricky not keep up? At this point, Je’Von believes Saints has lost his mind. “Oh no, I’m perfectly sane!” exclaims “The Absolute.” “Hey, hey, hey. If you keep treating me like a kid, I’m going to kick your butt like a grown man,” Evans says as he approaches Saints. Security intervenes to prevent the two men from coming to blows. Ava interrupts to inform them that next week they will face each other one-on-one to end this rivalry once and for all. Security steps in again to keep order as the segment comes to an end.

Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid) approach WrenQCC (Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey) backstage. The heels mock Grey, claiming that her loss at New Year’s Evil will end her momentum. Wren makes it clear that won’t happen. Reid mocks Sinclair, pointing out that she talks a lot for someone who hasn’t achieved anything in her career. Kendal believes those are fitting words for Fatal Influence’s “third wheel.” Jacy asks everyone to calm down. “Wren, I liked you a lot more when you were scared of your own shadow,” says the NXT Women’s Champion. As for Grey, she assures her that at New Year’s Evil she’ll find out she’s not on her level. But before that happens, she would like to have a warm-up match against Wren. That way, Sinclair can explain to her best friend what awaits her on January 6. Wren accepts. “Perfect,” Jayne replies with a laugh as she leaves with her partners. “Watch your back, Jacy,” says Kendal as the segment comes to an end.

Christmas Chaos – Mixed Tag Team Match
Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Arianna Grace vs. Shiloh Hill and Skylar Raye

Lorenzo and Grace share an endless kiss on the entrance ramp. Tired of waiting, their opponents decide to go after them. Skylar and Shiloh tap their opponents on the shoulders with their index fingers to get their attention. Channing ducks so Arianna can slap Shiloh. Raye tries to get her revenge on Grace, but she ducks, causing the slap to hit her boyfriend instead. Skylar slams Arianna against the edge of the apron. Hill does the same to “Stacks.” Grace enters the ring, followed by Raye. The referee is then able to ring the bell.

Both women start fighting while Shiloh and Lorenzo continue brawling at ringside. Grace surprises Skylar with a kick before throwing her into one of the corners. Lorenzo enters the ring to support Grace, but Skylar evades him and applies an Electric Chair to his girlfriend. Lorenzo confronts Raye, at which point Shiloh returns to surprise him with another Electric Chair. Channing collapses onto Arianna, who quickly moves out of the way, causing her boyfriend to fall face-first onto the mat.

Raye continues attacking Arianna at ringside. Meanwhile, Hill delivers a powerslam to Lorenzo before ejecting him from the ring with a clothesline. Channing regroups with Arianna. At that moment, Shiloh lifts his partner over his head to throw her onto their rivals. Raye takes Arianna back into the ring, where she tries to strike her with a Candy Cane-shaped kendo stick. Meanwhile, Shiloh smashes a PC keyboard across “Stacks’” back.

Hill brings Channing back into the ring. Once there, Grace surprises Shiloh with the Candy Cane. Arianna prepares to use it on Raye, but Skylar blocks the attack. Both women struggle. Suddenly, they are lifted into the air as their partners hoist them onto their shoulders. Raye and Grace continue fighting over the Candy Cane. Hill kicks Lorenzo in the stomach, forcing him to drop Arianna. She then kicks Shiloh, who does the same to his partner. Grace kicks Hill again before stopping an attack from Raye with the Candy Cane.

The action continues. Shiloh crushes Lorenzo in one of the corners and then pins him face-down. Meanwhile, Skylar strikes Grace in the opposite corner to repeat her partner’s strategy. Skylar and Hill unleash a barrage of attacks with two Candy Canes on their rivals. Both celebrate as we head into another commercial break.

We return to see Lorenzo and Grace dominating the fight. “Stacks” strikes Hill with a Candy Cane in the ring while Grace kicks Raye near the barricade. Arianna returns to the ring with a bowling ball, attempting to throw it at Hill’s groin. Channing positions himself behind her to help aim, but she accidentally strikes her boyfriend in the testicles. Shocked, Grace drops the ball, which lands on Channing’s foot. He collapses onto the mat in tremendous pain. Arianna kneels beside him, lamenting what happened. “You deserve it!” chant the fans.

Shiloh removes his mouthguard and hands it to Grace, who screams in disgust. Meanwhile, Hill unleashes a heavy assault on Lorenzo. Shiloh throws his opponent toward Arianna, who gets rid of the mouthguard by wiping her hands on her boyfriend’s back. Skylar launches herself onto both with a double diving dropkick. Hill knocks Lorenzo down with a flying shoulder tackle before finishing him with a spinning senton. 1..2..NO.

Shiloh sends “Stacks” to ringside. Hill follows him to restrain him with a Christmas wreath. Meanwhile, Raye dodges a charge from Arianna, who ends up crashing into a Christmas tree set up near the commentary table. Shiloh delivers a Guillotine Legdrop to Lorenzo before handing out cookies to the crowd alongside Skylar. Suddenly, Arianna throws the Christmas tree at them. Grace uses the cookie tray to strike her rivals with unbridled fury.

Lorenzo sets up a table at ringside before approaching his girlfriend to calm her down. Channing kisses her. At that moment, Raye uses a Candy Cane to pull Arianna toward one of the posts. Meanwhile, Shiloh knocks out Lorenzo with a big boot. Skylar continues kicking Arianna. Hill grabs a sack and empties its contents (pineapples) onto the table. After that, he catches Lorenzo and delivers a powerbomb through the table, which is completely destroyed. Meanwhile, Skylar finishes Grace with a frog splash in the center of the ring. 1..2..3.

Winners: Shiloh Hill and Skylar Raye

We see all of DarkState gathered with Ava in the General Manager’s office. Osiris Griffin tries to explain that Dion Lennox would be a challenger for the NXT Championship if it weren’t for Joe… Saquon Shugars interrupts him, reminding him not to say his name. Ava directly asks Lennox what he wants from her. “Give me Joe Hendry,” he replies.

Say his name and he’ll appear!

Joe Hendry appears from behind a shelf. The Scotsman approaches them all. “Have you been in my office this whole time?” asks a surprised Ava. Joe asks Lennox and his partners why the long faces, especially at such a special time of year. “That’s right, after you cost me a title opportunity, brother. And right now nobody cares about Christmas,” Lennox replies. Joe understands that Christmas might not suit Dion, but perhaps it could be something positive heading into 2026. “Maybe I should show you something,” Lennox says threateningly as he steps up to the Scotsman. “Alright, not here,” Ava says. Dion looks at the General Manager before signaling to his partners that it’s time to leave. Cutler James stays behind to warn Joe that they’ll be keeping an eye on him. With that, he follows his partners. Ava thanks Hendry for not complicating things. The Scotsman says that the situation has given him an idea. NXT has given him so much this year that he wants to give something back. That’s why he asks the General Manager to allow him to give a concert next week. Ava says everyone will enjoy hearing him, so she approves the request. Joe thanks her.

Kelly Kincaid interviews OTM backstage. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price say that despite last week’s loss, they remain focused on their goal of dominating the tag team division. The Vanity Project (Jackson Drake, Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes) interrupt the scene to give Kelly the gifts they were unable to deliver to Blake Monroe. Nima confronts The Vanity Project for the interruption. Besides, who are they? The Evolve talents formally introduce themselves. Baylor promises that in 2026 they’ll give the NXT tag team division a gift: one called Swipe Right. “Interrupt OTM again, and you’ll pay for it,” says Price. Smokes asks if he means a gift exchange. “You’ll pay with pain. Think about it,” says an irritated Lucien before leaving with his partner. Baylor and Smokes hand Kincaid their gifts and quickly leave the area alongside Drake.

Tournament for a shot at the WWE Speed Championship - First round
Lexis King vs. Andre Chase

Lexis kicks Andre to take the lead. Chase quickly counterattacks, taking him down with a neckbreaker. Andre kicks King, who ends up at ringside. Chase stands on the apron to jump onto his opponent. Without wasting time, Andre brings him back into the ring, but there he is surprised with a superkick. 1..2..NO.

Lexis continues to strike Chase. King dodges an enzuigiri to respond with a direct kick to the back of the neck. 1..2..NO. Andre blocks The Coronation to start a counterattack. Chase applies a Russian Leg Sweep before trapping his opponent in a submission hold. Lexis breaks free to exchange attacks with his rival. From the ground, King kicks Andre in the face to stun him before finishing him off with The Coronation. 1..2..3

Winner: Lexis King (2:46)

Kelani Jordan leaves the women's locker room making it clear to her teammates that she is the leader of the place. And if anyone has something to object, they should remember what happened to Lola Vice. Kelani meets Tavion Heights and Myles Borne, asking them if they have anything to say about it. Jordan continues on her way. "You know? I liked it much more when she was kind," says Borne to his friend. He, on the other hand, regrets having to face true toothache like Lexis King in the tournament final. Tavion acknowledges that ascending in NXT is very difficult, as they constantly encounter obstacles. Myles believes that Ethan Page is right: something has to change in 2026. Tank Ledger and Hank Walker approach them to cheer them up. Hank and Tank remind them that their 2025 didn't start off the best, but in the end, they managed to conquer the NXT Tag Team Championships. And if their moment came, Tavion and Myles will also have theirs. Heights fist bumps the former tag team champions, who leave the place. More encouraged, Tavion suggests to Myles that they follow the example.

United States Women's Championship Match
Chelsea Green (c) (with Alba Fyre and Ethan Page) vs. Sol Ruca (with Zaria)

Chelsea charges at Sol, but she makes her stumble. Ruca damages the champion's legs, who responds with a wristlock. Ruca frees herself with great agility before taking her down to the mat. Sol catches Green in La Tapatía. Ruca releases the champion by slamming her face into the mat. Green calls for help from her teammates. Alba grabs her arms. In turn, Ethan grabs the Scot's legs. Zaria places her hands on Page's shoulders to push him back. This way, Alba is dragged and falls face-first to the ground. "¡Zaria, Zaria!", chant the fans.

Green recovers to slap Sol. Chelsea and Ruca exchange attacks until the latter sends the former out of the ring. Ethan and Alba approach Green to attend to her, but soon they receive the impact of a moonsault from Sol. She and Zaria celebrate with the fans as we reach the final commercial break of the night.

Ruca brings the Canadian back into the ring. Alba climbs onto the apron to distract Sol, who is surprised with a big boot from Green. She catches the challenger in a painful submission hold. Ruca breaks free to launch a counterattack. Chelsea applies a Monkey Flip, but Sol uses her agility to avoid landing on the mat. Green celebrates, unaware of what just happened. Sol surprises her with a german suplex before leaping with a diving dropkick. Ruca finishes her with a running kick. 1..2..NO.

Sol leaps with a springboard. Green dodges to respond with a Rough Ryder. 1..2..NO. The Canadian can't believe it. "¡No, no!", shouts the champion. Sol reverses an Unprettier into a roll-up. 1..2..NO. The action moves to the top of the ring, where Chelsea surprises Sol with a german suplex from the second rope. Green tries to finish Ruca with a Vader Bomb, but her opponent dodges just in time. Sol executes a springboard DDT. 1..2..NO. Ethan places Chelsea's foot on the bottom rope to interrupt the count.

Page leans against the podium where the United States Championship rests, pretending that nothing has happened. A furious Zaria approaches him to yell at him. Suddenly, Moose appears on the scene to strike “All Ego”. The two begin brawling on the entrance ramp. Meanwhile, Ruca prepares to execute her Sol Snatcher. Alba takes advantage of the referee being distracted by the fight at ringside to climb onto the apron and hold Sol, allowing Chelsea to knock her down to the mat. Green finishes her off with an Unprettier. 1..2..3.

Winner and STILL United States Women’s Champion: Chelsea Green

Green celebrates in the ring alongside Fyre while Zaria checks on Ruca. Furious, the Australian delivers a double spear to Chelsea and Alba, who are then finished off by Ruca with a double Sol Snatcher. Zaria raises Ruca’s arm. Both pose on the ropes to celebrate with the fans as the show comes to an end.
