Jade Cargill reveals how she has managed to deal with the pressure of being WWE Champion

Jade Cargill landed in WWE with great fanfare. In fact, the company introduced her as one of their biggest signings in recent times. However, fans feared that the wrestler would not be able to measure up, especially considering that she had barely evolved during her time in All Elite Wrestling. Nevertheless, WWE trusted in her, sending her to the main roster without a prior stop in NXT.

Shortly after her arrival, Cargill would win the Tag Team Championships alongside Bianca Belair before being removed from television programming due to creative issues. Upon her return, Jade changed her character by executing a heel turn that has allowed her to become the top champion of SmackDown. A burden she has learned to bear thanks to her colleagues, as she explained in a recent interview for Reality of Wrestling.

"I was actually talking to The Miz. It was Miz, and he asked me the same question: do you feel the pressure of being a champion? I told him: 'Throughout the first year I was here, I sat observing the champions, I saw how you faced the pressure and how you handled your family situations, and I asked many questions,'" she said.

"One thing I did tell my husband before this stage I am experiencing now was: 'Hey, it's going to be a wild ride and I need you to hold on tight. I'm going to be tired, I'm going to be exhausted, all those things are going to happen, I'm going to have all those feelings. I need you to understand what I'm doing right now and the purpose behind it,'" she revealed.

"I wouldn't say the weight is as heavy as it might seem, because I have a great support team behind the scenes at WWE, and many champions have prepared me to be in the position I am in now. Sitting, observing them and trying to emulate what they did has prepared me to carry this gold," she concluded.

Currently, Cargill maintains an intense rivalry with Michin after the latter confronted her backstage. As a result, in recent weeks both women have attacked each other, leading them to face off in an upcoming episode of the blue brand yet to be confirmed.
