The surprising and impromptu victory of Thea Hail over Blake Monroe in NXT not only turned the women's division upside down. It also opened a chapter of internal tension in which praises, reproaches, and a chain of contradictory versions coexist. What initially seemed like a simple mishap during a match has ended up becoming a broader debate within the Performance Center.

According to Fightful Select, referee Felix Fernández initially received praise for how he handled the situation when Monroe was visibly affected after the defeat. However, shortly after, voices within NXT emerged claiming just the opposite: that there was discontent towards Fernández for allegedly not checking Monroe's condition "in time".

Several talents and members of the creative team who work directly with Monroe claim that the wrestler communicated that she was injured after the action that led to the impromptu ending. These same sources point out that Monroe was upset about how everything unfolded, which reportedly hastened the decision to schedule an immediate rematch between them, despite Monroe herself saying she was injured.

Various internal sources maintain that Monroe expressed pain after the spot and that the creative team close to her was not satisfied with how the situation was handled.

However, within the management team, there is a very different interpretation. Matt Bloom, Shawn Michaels, and several veteran referees would have fully supported Fernández, ensuring that he acted correctly, did verify what was necessary, and did not ignore any signals from Monroe.

With the issue still ongoing and the rematch scheduled against the clock, the situation remains in a delicate balance. The story, for now, continues to have more questions than answers in the NXT locker room.
