GUNTHER will face El Grande Americano in Germany

A few minutes ago, the WWE account in German has officially confirmed the second announced match for the upcoming European tour that the company will be holding next January. On the 13th, a house show (under the name of WWE Live) will take place at the SAP Arena in Mannheim, Germany. One day after Monday Night Raw in Dusseldorf, the company will stop in the eastern city of the country, where GUNTHER and the Grande Americano will face off one-on-one.

Ludwig Kaiser, born in Germany, is the wrestler who portrays the beloved Mexican character in the Central American country, but he also formed IMPERIUM alongside GUNTHER, Giovanni Vinci, and Alexander Wolfe, one of the most dominant factions in the history of NXT and NXT UK. Although they have faced each other in matches on the European independent scene, this will be the first time Kaiser and GUNTHER clash in a WWE ring.

Probably, the news will increase ticket sales. While Kaiser is not a top star in the company, playing at home and facing a man who is also an adopted son of the country (let's remember WALTER's time in wXw) surely caught the attention of many fans who will want to witness a historic confrontation. After their split in mid-2024, this will also be their first interaction. 

The Road to Royal Rumble tour will start on Thursday, January 8, and will last for 12 days. The company will hold a total of 4 weekly shows (2 Raw and 2 SmackDown), in addition to visiting countries like Poland, Scotland, or Denmark with live events.

In addition to the confirmation of the clash between Americano and GUNTHER, the company confirmed last Friday that the SmackDown show on January 9, which will take place in Berlin, will feature the anticipated Three Stages of Hell match between Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship.
