The collaboration between WWE and TNA Wrestling not only remains alive, but everything indicates that it will continue for several more years. According to a new report, the relationship between both companies has been expanded and would be guaranteed, at least, until the year 2028.
The information comes at a crucial moment, marked by doubts that arose after the announcement of TNA's new television deal. Some sectors feared that this move could put a stop to talent exchanges between both companies, but the latest data point in the opposite direction.
The alliance between WWE and TNA was made public on January 16, 2025, when both companies surprised by announcing a multi-year agreement to explore joint opportunities. Since then, the collaboration has produced images that were unthinkable just a few years ago.
Over the last twelve months, several NXT talents have won TNA championships, while The Hardy Boyz returned to WWE territory to capture the NXT tag team titles. One of the highlights of the agreement came with Joe Hendry's appearance in the 2025 Royal Rumble, followed by his match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41.
The recent signing of TNA Wrestling with AMC, which will begin airing its weekly programs starting on January 15, generated speculation about possible restrictions for their wrestlers to appear on WWE programming, and vice versa.
However, TNA President Carlos Silva has already addressed those rumors by ensuring that the collaboration will continue in 2026. Sources close to the situation now confirm that there is no tension between both parties and that the agreement is going through one of its best moments.
Sources indicate that the partnership will continue and is expected to extend at least until 2028. Both WWE and TNA are satisfied with the direction of the business and the opportunities being generated for talent development.
On January 6, the TNA X Division Champion, Leon Slater, will step into an NXT ring to challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Championship, in another chapter of an alliance that, far from fading, continues to gain importance within the wrestling landscape.
