Dream Star Fighting MARIGOLD held its first show of the year this morning. FIRST DREAM 2026 took place at the Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan, in front of a live audience of 1,812 fans. The show featured a total of eight matches, four of them title matches. Highlights include Mayu Iwatani being crowned the new GHC Women's Champion and Miku Aono's first title defense as MARIGOLD World Champion.

MARIGOLD First Dream Results January 3, 2026

  • Seri Yamaoka, Shinno, and CoCo defeated Kizuna Tanaka, Komomo Minami, and Yuuka Yamazaki in a six-person tag team match. Yamaoka applied a German Suplex Hold on Yamazaki for the victory.
  • Kouki Amarei, Natsumi Showzuki, and Hummingbird defeated Nao Ishikawa, Yuuki Minami, and Nagisa Tachibana in a six-person tag team match. Amarei applied an Amethyst Butterfly on Tachibana for the win.
  • Kuroshio TOKYO Japan defeated Megaton with a Horizontal Cradle.
  • Utami Hayashishita defeated Chika Goto with a German Suplex Hold.
  • Misa Matsui and CHIAKI defeated Nagisa Nozaki and Rea Seto to retain the MARIGOLD Twin Star Championships. Matsui applied an MKD on Seto for the victory.
    • Seri Yamaoka and Shinno will challenge the champions on the January 24 show at the Tokyo Korakuen Hall.
  • Victoria Yuzuki defeated Syoko Koshino to retain the MARIGOLD Unified National Championship. Yuzuki used a Victory Sunset for the win.
  • Mayu Iwatani defeated Takumi Iroha to win the GHC Women's Championship. Iwatani executed a Moonsault Press for the victory.
    • Iwatani becomes the first woman to hold both the GHC and IWGP Women's Championships.
    • After the match, Utami Hayashishita challenged Iwatani to a title match, set to take place on the January 24 show at the Tokyo Korakuen Hall.
  • Miku Aono defeated Mai Sakurai to retain the MARIGOLD World Championship. Aono used a Red Sensation to secure her first title defense of the promotion's top title.
