Today we will once again enjoy a new live coverage of WWE SmackDown, which this time will be broadcast live from the OVO Arena Wembley in London, England. This will be the second weekly show of the blue brand in this new European tour leading up to the Royal Rumble.
Of note is the first appearance of Drew McIntyre as the new Undisputed WWE Champion and four qualifying matches for the fatal four-way match that will determine the Scottish wrestler's first opponent for the top gold. As always, we invite you to comment on the article to give your opinion on what happens on this week's blue brand show.
WWE SmackDown starts on Netflix!
We see the arrival of some of tonight's protagonists at the venue: Randy Orton, The Miz, Damian Priest, MFT in full, Matt Cardona, Trick Williams, Ilja Dragunov, and Sami Zayn.
Joe Tessitore and Corey Graves welcome us to SmackDown from the commentary table. After that, they show a video summary of last week's main event, which ended with the coronation of Drew McIntyre as the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
A bagpipe band leads to the entrance of "The Scottish Psychopath," who heads to the ring in a relaxed manner. Once in the ring, Drew poses with the championship as fireworks resonate in the venue. Fans chant McIntyre's name, who then gets off the ring to pose with a group of them. Drew's theme music stops playing to let the whole stadium sing his name. "I prayed for this, and it happened," says McIntyre. "You deserve it!," the audience responds.
Drew acknowledges that he has been through very tough years, but if there's something that can unite him with the fans, it's the WWE Championship. Additionally, he reminds them that he is the only Briton to have held the company's top title in its entire history. McIntyre thanks them for all the support they have given him during the European tour, but now he wants to tell them something: "Screw you".
Drew reproaches the fans for not supporting him until now. They didn't do it when WWE fired him. They didn't do it when Roman Reigns and The Bloodline messed with him. They didn't support him in his crusade against CM Punk. They didn't support him when the referees took care of messing him up over and over again. "There is only one person I have to thank. The only person who always believed in me and knew I could become a world champion again. And that person is me. So, thank you, Drew McIntyre," says the Scotsman before addressing the fans. "If you want to chant something, let it be 'Thank you, Drew!'"
McIntyre acknowledges that there is one person he wants to talk about. It's Cody Rhodes, who at this moment will be trying by all means to get a title shot. However, that won't happen. Drew addresses the camera to explain to "The American Nightmare" that he added a clause to their match last week, whereby Rhodes cannot compete for the gold as long as he is the champion. That's why "The American Nightmare" will have to get to the back of the line and work his way back up to the top. "The predictable era of the Chosen Quarterback is over. The dangerous and unpredictable era of Drew McIntyre begins tonight!", he exclaims.
Randy Orton makes his entrance!
Fans welcome him with a big ovation. "The Viper" heads into the ring, where Drew awaits. "I guess you came out to congratulate me, right Randy?" McIntyre asks. Orton reminds him that he doesn't like him. So, no, he didn't come out to congratulate him. Randy is here to remind him that a few weeks ago he hesitated to kick him against the commentary table. However, if he has the chance, he won't hesitate. "RKO, RKO!" fans chant. McIntyre takes a step back to prevent Randy from pleasing them. "I've beaten you for that title before, and I'll do it again. And when I do, it will be courtesy of the three most dangerous letters in all of sports entertainment: R-K-O," he says. Drew is about to continue, but...
Jacob Fatu interrupts the segment!
A concerned Drew begins to back off as Fatu walks firmly towards the ring. "The Samoan Werewolf" bursts into the ring to attack McIntyre. He doesn't take long to escape to ringside, but the Samoan stops him. Drew manages to surprise him to throw him against one of the posts. McIntyre clings to the championship to jump over the audience barrier and escape in a hurry. Orton enjoys the scene in the center of the ring, moment when The Miz surprises him from behind to knock him out with a Skull Crushing Finale! The Miz stands over his victim as the segment comes to an end.
Qualifying Match for an Opportunity for the Undisputed WWE Championship

Randy catches his opponent, ready to apply a body drop on the commentary table, but ultimately it's The Miz who drops him on it.
The Miz takes him back into the ring, where an exchange of attacks begins. Randy takes the lead with several clotheslines before applying a scoop powerslam. The Miz seeks refuge on the apron. Orton tries to catch him, but his opponent escapes to ringside. Randy doesn't take long to go after him to execute two consecutive body drops on the commentary table. "One more time!" fans exclaim. Randy grants their wish.
Orton takes The Miz back into the ring, where he applies a Modified DDT. Randy stalks The Miz, ready to knock him out with the three most dangerous letters in the business. However, his opponent blocks the RKO to respond with a Skull Crushing Finale. 1..2..NO. Orton and The Miz counter each other's finishers. The Miz attacks again, but this time he meets an undeniable RKO. 1..2..3.
Winner: Randy Orton
Orton celebrates in one of the corners while The Miz recovers next to the commentary table.
We see a concerned Drew McIntyre walking quickly backstage to avoid Jacob Fatu. Ilja Dragunov approaches him, pointing out that this is the first time they can talk face to face. The Russian knows that Drew has a great concern at this moment, but he wants to make something clear: tonight he will win his qualifying match to get a little closer to the Undisputed WWE Championship. McIntyre, however, doesn't care at all. "Win your match tonight. Win the fatal four-way match. And I'll see you at the Rumble. I broke Fatu's teeth, and I assure you I'll break yours too!", exclaims the Scotsman before resuming his escape.
Bo Dallas (along with The Wyatt Sicks) carries out a video promo to address Solo Sikoa. "Solo, you think you stole our light, but you've only inherited the weight of what it really means. The lantern has never been a weapon. We carry it in the darkness so that the darkness does not take us. It shouldn't be in the hands of someone who thinks carrying it is more powerful than its true purpose. (The lantern) will return to us, like a moth to a flame. We won't rest until it's back home," says Dallas.
Alexa Bliss warms up backstage when Charlotte Flair joins her. "Did you miss me?" asks "The Queen" as she hits her companion with her hip. With a serious face, she reminds her that last week was horrible. Not only did she fall defeated against Giulia in a title match, but also Lash Legend and Nia Jax tried to confuse her, as well as attack her. That's why she needs to know if Charlotte was really sick last week or just decided not to show up because she was upset about not getting that title opportunity. Flair assures her that she couldn't stop vomiting. In addition, she has turned down many title opportunities by putting the team's priorities first. Bliss wants to know if she can count on Charlotte's support. She assures her that she will always support her, just as Alexa supports her. Having said that, she apologizes again for not being with her last week. "The Queen" makes the "half heart" gesture. Bliss completes it, accepting her companion's response. After that, she leaves to finish getting ready.
Flair starts to warm up, at which point Nia Jax and Lash Legend approach her with the aim of provoking her. Nia assures her that Alexa is still the same as always: she tries to make others feel guilty while she pretends to be the victim. Charlotte makes it clear that she won't fall into the trap, nor will she accept advice she hasn't asked for. And if they offer it again, she won't like her response. "The Queen" affirms that Nia only says these things because Bliss is not her friend. "And you. You have changed," she says to Lash before leaving.
We see UFC fighter Michael "Venom" Page in the front row.
Tag Team Match
Giulia and Kiana James vs. Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair
Kiana and Alexa start the match. The former taunts her opponent before pushing her. Bliss responds with a slap. Kiana tries to pay her back, but her opponent dodges to counterattack furiously. Kiana surprises Alexa to execute a suplex. Flair receives the tag to team up with Bliss. Giulia comes into play to surprise Alexa with a dropkick.
"The Beautiful Madness" takes control, cornering Bliss in her corner. James receives the tag to continue the punishment on Bliss. Giulia traps Alexa in the ropes to grab her by the nose. Giulia hits Charlotte before executing a dropkick on Alexa's back, who also receives a kick from James. Giulia finishes her off with an elbow drop. 1...2...NO.

Giulia receives the tag to finish her off with a diving dropkick. 1..2..NO. Bliss escapes from her two opponents to give the tag to Flair, who enters with everything. Charlotte delivers chops left and right. Flair knocks down Kiana with a handspring clothesline.
Charlotte kicks Giulia on the apron before seeking height in one of the corners. Flair jumps on Kiana with a diving crossbody. 1..2..NO. Charlotte takes height again. However, Giulia grabs her long enough for a recovered James to make her fall to the mat. Kiana executes a spinebuster on Charlotte, so that Giulia finishes her off with a knee strike. 1..2..NO. Alexa interrupts the count.
Bliss kicks James out of the ring, only for her to grab her by the legs to take her to ringside. Meanwhile, Giulia and Charlotte exchange attacks. James returns to give the tag. Kiana charges against Flair without realizing that Bliss has also received the tag. Alexa surprises James in the center of the ring to execute a Sister Abigail. 1..2..3.
Winners: Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss
Nia Jax and Lash Legend burst onto the scene. Nia pushes Giulia against the apron to enter the ring. Lash gets rid of Alexa with a right hook. Charlotte catches Legend, but is soon surprised by Jax, who hits her with a headbutt before throwing her against one of the corners. Nia and Lash are booed by the fans. Suddenly, a furious Giulia returns to confront Jax. Kiana tries to calm down "The Beautiful Madness" to avoid a brawl. And so we reach the end of this segment.
Solo Sikoa (with MFT) carries out a promo sitting at his table. "Bo, you're absolutely right. This is more than a lantern. I can see millions of fireflies around the world, and now they are in my power. Your legacy is in my hands, and if you want this lantern, I suggest you put those Tag Team Championships on the line. But this is just the beginning. You'll see, my family is going to regain all the gold. But until then, I'm going to take care of this very, very well. And he will be with me when I finish off Damian Priest and bring back the Undisputed WWE Championship to the family," says Sikoa before blowing out the lantern. Darkness takes over the scene, and with it, we reach the end of this segment.
Cody Rhodes makes his entrance. "The American Nightmare" heads to the ring to a great ovation. Once in the ring, the audience begins to chant his name. Meanwhile, others boo him. Cody accepts this somewhat mixed reception. Rhodes acknowledges that coming out every night as a champion had become somewhat "episodic." Too repetitive. "Ohhh, Drew McIntyre!" some fans begin to chant. Cody assures them that they will talk about the new champion. He already was. He was the champion of all of them. "I didn't want you to be mere spectators. I wanted you to be teammates. But at some point along the way, I might have become too episodic, I dare say predictable. I didn't see all the ways I could lose. That, or Drew McIntyre is just that good," he says. "Ohhh, Drew McIntyre!" the audience chants again.
Cody changes the subject to remember that he has something in common with Hulk Hogan, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and Shawn Michaels: that only they have managed to win two consecutive Royal Rumbles. But only one of them has not managed to win three editions: himself. And that's because it's an almost impossible feat. But he loves going after the impossible, even knowing the magnitude of the WWE roster. However, sometimes the greatest superpower you can have is confidence in yourself. So here and now, in a city that means a lot to him, a city that deserves to host a WrestleMania edition, he wants to announce something. "Drew McIntyre said there is no rematch clause. Well. Let's do it the old-fashioned way: I officially announce that I am the first participant in the Royal Rumble 2026!", he exclaims.
"Well, London, what do you want to talk about?" he asks to change the subject. This time he refers to Jacob Fatu, who has a big score to settle with him after what happened last week. "Jacob Fatu, you have a bigger debt to settle than anyone has ever given to anyone. You can bring your car full of gasoline here right now and pay your debt, or Jacob, I can come looking for you to give you a beating!", he exclaims. Rhodes throws the mic to the mat to end his promo.
Cathy Kelley interviews Matt Cardona backstage. Cardona laments that his friend Cody Rhodes lost the WWE Undisputed Championship last week, as he wanted to face him to find out which of them is better. Now he will have to do it against Drew McIntyre, with whom he also shares a history: the first match the Scotsman ever competed in WWE was against him. Matt recalls that he had to leave the company to reinvent himself, just as Cody and Drew did before him. Now he has returned with the sole objective of winning the top championship. "I came back to be the WWE Undisputed Champion. I came back to be the WWE Undisputed Champion!" he exclaims before heading to the ring.
Qualifying Match for an opportunity at the WWE Undisputed Championship
Matt Cardona vs. Trick Williams
Williams takes the early advantage by striking his opponent with force. Matt responds with a dropkick before applying a Flatliner. Cardona sends Trick out of the ring before launching himself onto him with a diving dropkick. Williams uses the ropes to turn the situation around. Trick throws his opponent into the barricade before taking him back inside the ring.
Williams continues his assault on Matt before trapping him in a grounded headlock. Cardona escapes, only to eat a capoeira kick. Matt blocks a spinning kick to respond with a back suplex. Cardona launches an attack on Williams in one of the corners. Matt delivers a Broski Boot, followed by a ZigZag. 1..2..NO.
Matt avoids a charge from Trick in one of the corners and looks for another Broski Boot, but his opponent escapes to ringside. Matt surprises him with a rope dropkick. The action returns to the ring, where Williams regains control. Matt reverses a uranage into a DDT. Trick blocks a Rough Ryder to respond with a Pounce. Cardona crashes to the mat. As soon as he gets back up, Williams finishes him off with a decisive Trick Shot. 1..2..3.
Winner: Trick Williams
Kit Wilson appears as Williams celebrates on the entrance ramp. The Brit stops next to Trick to exchange stares. "Toxic!" he says before continuing on his way. Wilson comes across an exhausted Cardona leaning against the barricade. Kit feigns walking away, only to strike Matt from behind and throw him into the steel steps! "TOXIC, TOXIC, TOXIC!" he shouts before climbing onto the apron. The Brit poses to the ovation of his hometown fans.
Cathy Kelley interviews Damian Priest backstage. The Puerto Rican could talk about Drew McIntyre — with whom he has a long history — all day, but he doesn’t want to get ahead of himself, because before he can face him he must get past Solo Sikoa. "Facing Solo one-on-one isn’t a problem. But will it really be one-on-one? I don’t think so" he says. Priest recalls that it was here in London where he won the Money in the Bank briefcase, a match in which he faced everyone else. A situation he will find himself in again tonight because of MFT. However, his goal is to get to Drew, and he will do whatever it takes to achieve it.
We return to the ring, where Wilson addresses the fans. "You all know I’m right! You know there’s a problem! And I am the solution! So I’ll say it again. I’ll let the whole world know. You don’t need peace! You need leadership! You need me! So let me say it: I am the cure for toxic masculinity, and my name is Kit Wilson!" he exclaims, unaware that Jacob Fatu is standing behind him. Kit turns around to meet a superkick. "The Samoan Werewolf" continues his assault with a senton before launching himself with a moonsault. Jacob grabs a microphone to address Cody Rhodes. "Cody! Do you have something to say about me? Do you have something to say to me? Then come out here!" he shouts.
Cody Rhodes makes his entrance!
"The American Nightmare" enters the ring and immediately comes face to face with the Samoan. Rhodes throws a punch to start a brawl. Numerous officials and security personnel led by Nick Aldis rush into the ring to separate them, but they can only hold them apart for a few moments. Cody breaks free to dive onto the Samoan, reigniting the fight. We then head into another commercial break.
WWE announces that Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu will face each other at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Solo traps Priest in a headlock. The Puerto Rican escapes to trade strikes with his opponent. A superkick sends Sikoa to ringside. Damian goes after him, only to find his path blocked by MFT. Sikoa returns to the ring and distracts the referee, allowing his teammates to attack Priest.

Damian takes his opponent back to the ring to continue the assault. Sikoa avoids a clothesline and responds with a Samoan Drop. 1..2..NO.
Sikoa delivers a Running Hip Attack to Damian, then repeats the move. Sikoa goes for it again, but Priest stops him with a spinning heel kick. Both men are laid out on the mat. Furious, Solo and Damian charge at each other. After a hard-hitting exchange, Priest surprises Solo with a Flatliner. 1..2..NO.
Damian heads to the top rope while the referee checks on Sikoa. Talla Tonga takes advantage and knocks the Puerto Rican down, causing him to land groin-first. The official turns around and sees what happened, ejecting Talla from ringside. Meanwhile, a recovered Damian catches Sikoa and executes a Razor's Edge. 1..2..NO. Priest avoids a Samoan Spike, but falls victim to a Spinning Solo. Sikoa finishes him off with a Uso Splash. 1..2..NO.
Suddenly, the arena lights go out. When they return, The Wyatt Sicks are standing on the commentary table right behind MFT. Uncle Howdy and his men attack their enemies. Howdy throws JC Mateo over the barricade before heading toward his brother’s lantern. Suddenly, Sikoa attacks him from behind. Solo throws Howdy over the commentary table before picking up the lantern and returning to the ring. However, once there, Priest surprises him with a South of Heaven. 1..2..3.
Winner: Damian Priest
Howdy climbs into the ring to recover the lantern, only to be knocked out by a Big Boot from Talla Tonga! Talla helps Sikoa out of the ring, where he hands him the lantern. This brings the segment to an end.
We see Sami Zayn walking backstage. Drew McIntyre approaches him. The Scotsman recalls Sami’s words from last week, when he picked Cody Rhodes as the winner of the night. McIntyre also remembers that part of Zayn wanted the Scotsman to win so he could then defeat him and end his losing streak. Sami promises that tonight he will emerge victorious from the war that will pit him against Ilja Dragunov, and that in two weeks, in his hometown of Montreal, he will win the Fatal Four-Way Match that will earn him an opportunity at the WWE Undisputed Championship. "You and I will cross paths again," he says. Drew admits that Zayn’s speech is very inspiring, but the reality is that they have faced each other eleven times, and the Canadian has not beaten him once. "If you make it to the Royal Rumble, absolutely nothing will change", he says. "We’ll see," Sami replies before walking away.

Winner and STILL United States Champion: Carmelo Hayes
Hayes shows respect to Slater before leaving the ring. Shinsuke Nakamura watches the scene closely on a backstage monitor. Tama Tonga approaches the Japanese star to ask him why he’s looking at the United States Championship as if it belongs to him. Nakamura had his opportunity and let it slip away. "Once MFT win the Tag Team Championships, that United States Championship will be mine", Tama says. "You and I go way back. This is the first and only warning I’m going to give you: stay out of my way," he adds. A calm Shinsuke responds in Japanese while Tama listens in silence. Nakamura smiles as he walks away. Tama lowers his gaze, thinking about what the Japanese star just said.
We see a smiling Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae walking backstage. Gargano is holding Axiom’s mask. The two brag about how they fooled Nathan Frazer last week. Axiom approaches the couple. The Spaniard tries to act like the adult in the room, asking Johnny to give his mask back to avoid the beating he’s about to give him. Gargano hands the mask to Candice, who runs off. Johnny laughs, pointing out that he doesn’t have it. "Oh, grow up, mate. Grow up," Axiom says. Gargano tries to leave when suddenly he runs into a second Axiom. Johnny is completely confused. Suddenly, the second Axiom drops him with a punch. Both masked men crouch next to Gargano. The second one removes his mask to reveal his true identity: Nathan Frazer. "Surprise!" Frazer says before revealing that he spoke with Nick Aldis, who has scheduled a one-on-one match between them for next week. Nathan promises to beat respect into him, and once he does, Axiom will get his mask back. "So enjoy it while you can, mate," Nathan says. The Europeans fist-bump before leaving the area.

Grace easily dodges her, causing the Canadian to crash into the champion, who falls to ringside. Jordynne picks up the championship and raises it.
