Hologram was removed from the television programming of All Elite Wrestling last September after suffering a knee injury. As a result, the wrestler underwent surgery as the first step towards a recovery that could keep him out of action for several months.

Since then, the masked wrestler has been providing regular updates on the process, in which everything seems to be going smoothly. This has led many fans to wonder if his return might be closer than initially expected. However, according to the latest report from Fightful Select, the company is not counting on it.

"From what I've been told, there are still several months at least. I don't know if it was the meniscus or the anterior cruciate ligament, but three months would be very little time for either of those injuries. Knee injuries often confuse many wrestling fans, because they see wrestlers recovering from the injury and think they will return soon. A knee operation won't keep you in a wheelchair for months, and you can start rehabilitation quite soon," wrote Sean Ross Sapp.

Hologram's injury occurred at one of the worst possible moments. The masked wrestler not only had an undefeated streak in the company, but he was also scheduled to compete for the TNT Championship against Kyle Fletcher. The injury forced the company to change plans, showing a backstage attack to justify his subsequent absence on screen.

Hologram was also scheduled to start a storyline with El Clon, who had already made an appearance shortly before the former's injury. Finally, the company decided to debut him a couple of weeks ago. El Clon was confirmed as a new member of The Don Callis Family and has already racked up a streak of 3 victories since then. It is expected that the plans for Hologram and El Clon will pick up once the former returns to television programming.
