Bishop Dyer has shared new details about his recent appearance in AEW, shedding light on how he was received after his debut in a dark match prior to the latest edition of Dynamite. The wrestler, formerly known as Baron Corbin, participated in the show on January 21, 2026 held in Orlando, Florida.

Before the televised broadcast began, Dyer teamed up with Martin Stone, Hadar Horvitz, and Ori Gold to face off against Austin Gunn, Billy Gunn, Brady Booker, and Elijah Drago. The match ended in defeat for his team, but it served as Dyer's first interaction with the AEW audience.

Shortly after, during his appearance on the program Off The Ropes with Jonathan Coachman, Dyer explained how his brief conversation with Tony Khan went after the match and what impression the company's president gave him.

Tony told me afterwards that the match had been a lot of fun and that he had enjoyed it. He's working non-stop back there, so I wasn't going to bother him beyond thanking him for allowing me to share the ring with Billy and Austin.

Dyer also wanted to highlight the atmosphere in the venue, particularly emphasizing the audience's response. According to him, the energy from the crowd was one of the highlights of the day, leaving him with a very positive feeling about his time in AEW.

Additionally, he recounted how the whole experience began by picking up Big Show to travel together to Orlando, and how last-minute changes in the schedule, prompted by a snowstorm, led to Collision being taped after Dynamite, extending the night well into the early hours.

"The best part of my day wasn't just being in the ring, with that crowd, because the crowd was fucking amazing from start to finish. It all started because I went to pick up Big Show to take him to Orlando for the show and to see my people, and they ended up changing their shows last night and adding Collision after Dynamite, because there's supposed to be a snowstorm," he recalled.
