WWE Saturday Night's Main Event kicks off on YouTube!
Stephanie McMahon welcomes us from the analysis desk in the stands. McMahon informs us that Joe Tessitore cannot join her tonight due to a storm that prevented him from catching a flight. With that said, Stephanie reminds us that in just seven days, the Road to WrestleMania begins. But first, she wants to ask us a question. “Are you ready?” she asks the crowd. “No, no, no. Êtes-vous prêts?” she asks again to kick off the show.
Fireworks give way to a video showing the arrival of all tonight’s participants at the venue.
Jacob Fatu walks backstage as he heads toward the ring. “The Samoan Werewolf” sends a message to his opponent tonight. “Hey, Cody! I’m about to kick your ass! I went from EBT (receiving government assistance) to WWE. You know what I’m saying? FA-TU!” he exclaims before making his entrance.
Cody Rhodes is next to make his entrance. The fans greet him with a huge ovation. Rhodes heads to the ring, where he poses for the fans. Suddenly, Jacob rushes toward him to kick him, knocking him off the turnbuckle. Both men begin to brawl. The referee tries to separate them but ends up taking an accidental elbow from Cody. The fight continues as a multitude of officials and security members rush out to tend to the referee and try to restore order.
Security manages to pull Rhodes out of the ring, but Fatu dives onto all of them. Satisfied, the Samoan heads backstage. However, a recovered Cody is not willing to let him leave. “The American Nightmare” launches himself at Jacob to restart the brawl. Rhodes brings him back into the ring, only to send him out with a clothesline. He then follows up with a suicide dive.
Cody ignores the officials’ orders and continues attacking Fatu, throwing him over the crowd barricade. Both men continue trading blows in the stands. Rhodes throws a container at Fatu, who responds with a body drop. Cody’s back crashes into the floor. Officials try to remove the Samoan from the area, but Cody goes after him once again.
The action moves to the stairwell area. Rhodes takes a sip of a drink and spits it directly into Fatu’s face. Both men continue exchanging attacks just inches away from the fans. The fight makes its way to the entrance area. Rhodes grabs a trash can and quickly throws it at his enemy. A security member tries to separate them, but only succeeds in enraging Fatu, who delivers a chokeslam through a table. Rhodes strikes Jacob in the head with an item from the concession stand before resuming the brawl.
The action once again shifts to the stair area. Fatu traps Cody in a painful submission using the railing. Both men position themselves on a platform to trade strikes. Several security members attempt to stop them, but the wrestlers fend them off as they arrive. Suddenly, Drew McIntyre appears and sends Fatu crashing through a table!
After that, the Scotsman delivers a low blow to Rhodes and then finishes him with a devastating powerbomb through a table set five feet in the air! “Holy Shit!” the fans chant. The Scotsman heads toward the ring as we see the aftermath of the chaotic brawl that just took place. Once in the ring, McIntyre spreads his arms. This brings us to the first commercial break of the night.
Cathy Kelley interviews an enraged Drew McIntyre backstage. Kelley believes what just happened deserves an explanation. “An explanation? That was a statement to everyone on the roster. You want to talk about stepping up to me or to this title? This is exactly what will happen to you!” exclaims the Scotsman before walking off.
