WWE 2K26 continues to expand its offering with a new special edition. After the presentation of the version focused on the Attitude Era during the last episode of SmackDown, a Monday Night Wars edition has now been confirmed, revealed during the broadcast of Saturday Night's Main Event.
Both editions of the game will be available for pre-order starting on January 30th. Although specific details about the exclusive content of each version have not been revealed yet, the historical and nostalgic approach is once again the main attraction of this release.
The trailer shown on Saturday reviewed some of the most iconic moments of the Monday Night Wars, the period between 1995 and 2001 in which WWE and WCW competed directly for television supremacy. The video included footage of the rise of the nWo, D-Generation X, Goldberg, The Rock, and Stone Cold Steve Austin, among others.
The game's cover clearly reflects that historical rivalry. On one side, key figures from WWE such as Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, Triple H, Kurt Angle, and Chyna appear. On the other side, fundamental representatives of WCW like Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Goldberg, Booker T, and Eric Bischoff are featured.
For now, official information about WWE 2K26 remains limited. It is known that an additional announcement was recorded last month and will be broadcast in the coming weeks, and that this year's Showcase mode will revolve around CM Punk, including hypothetical scenarios that never came to fruition.
