All Elite Wrestling could be about to add a new name to its roster, and this time the move would come directly from New Japan Pro-Wrestling. According to Fightful Select, Clark Connors is reportedly very close to signing with AEW, with a deal that could be finalized imminently.

According to the report, AEW has already made an offer to Connors and the contract is in the finalization phase. Everything points to the wrestler taking the definitive step in the coming days, thus consolidating an important change in his career.

The news comes shortly after Connors' reappearance in AEW programming. The wrestler was present in the January 31st episode of Collision, where he dominated much of his match against Darby Allin before ultimately being defeated. After the match, Connors returned to the ring to help Gabe Kidd, in a joint attack on Allin.

Connors has been part of NJPW since 2018, when he joined the company as a young lion. After completing his development, he joined Bullet Club in 2023 and has been a two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion alongside Drilla Moloney, establishing himself as one of the most dominant names in the junior division.

Connors' contract with NJPW was considered to be nearing expiration in January, and sources from AEW cited by Fightful indicate that this potential signing could also signal a greater interest from the company in David Finlay, former leader of Bullet Club, whose agreement with New Japan also expired in January 2026.

If the signing is finally completed, Clark Connors would become the twelfth wrestler that AEW has added in 2026. The move would join a recent list of signings that includes names like Jake Doyle, Andrade El Ídolo, The Rascalz, Máscara Dorada, Persephone, Alec Price, Jordan Oliver, Zayda Steel, and Tommaso Ciampa.
