WWE is celebrating a new episode of Monday Night Raw tonight, this time number 1,707, from the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The red brand show will continue its path towards Elimination and will be broadcast live on Netflix. Solowrestling will bring you the results in this news as every week.
Tonight's episode will feature several matches and segments of interest, highlighting a couple of qualifying matches for the PLE of Chicago. In addition, The Usos will put the World Tag Team Championships on the line against Alpha Academy. As always, we invite you to comment on the note to give your opinion on what happened in the show.
WWE Raw starts on Netflix!
We see the arrival of some of tonight's protagonists at the venue: CM Punk (accompanied by AJ Lee), Becky Lynch (upset to find these two), Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Dominik Mysterio.
Becky Lynch is the one to open tonight's show. Furious, "The Man" heads to the ring, where she quickly asks for a microphone. The fans boo her. "There is a limit to the lack of respect a woman can endure! I came here with a big announcement that would end the corruption of Royal Rumble. But who do I find? Who do I see has returned to MY show?", asks the Irishwoman.
Let's light it up!
AJ Lee appears on the scene. The fans welcome her with a big ovation. The former Divas champion makes her characteristic entrance while a furious Becky glares at her. AJ Lee steps into the ring to face "The Man". "What are you doing here on MY show?", Lynch asks. AJ Lee replies that she didn't come for her, but to support Maxxine Dupri in her match tonight. And, by the way, to swing by catering. Becky makes it clear that she can't fool her. AJ Lee acts like a cute girl, but deep down she's a little chihuahua that barks all night, preventing anyone from sleeping. Lynch points out that AJ Lee keeps barking in her ear to keep ruining her life. AJ Lee thinks the Irishwoman is being a bit dramatic with all this because she really hasn't done anything to her... except defeat her at Wrestlepalooza... and in WarGames... and cost her the Intercontinental Championship against Dupri.
Becky asks AJ Lee what she needs to do to get rid of her. Maybe her wish is to face the best wrestler of all time - and it's not just her saying it, but also Sports Illustrated - at Elimination Chamber, which this year will be held in her hometown, Chicago? Because if so, AJ Lee would be asking her to humiliate her in front of her friends and family. AJ Lee didn't intend any of this, but a one-on-one match is tempting for her. However, it's been a decade since she's done it. That's why that match should be special.
AJ Lee wonders what she will become if she defeats Lynch. A lucky woman? A better wrestler than the Irishwoman? Or maybe the next challenger for the championship she carries on her shoulder? "No, no, no!", replies Becky. "YES, YES, YES", the fans exclaim. "The Man" insists that she won't give a title shot to a woman who isn't even an active member of the roster. AJ Lee understands her position. "Okay. No title. No match. Well then I'll just go back to Chicago," says AJ Lee. "That's fine!", exclaims Becky. "But listen to me, okay? If you thought you were beneath The Man before leaving, you have no idea what awaits you now. Welcome to The Big Time!". The Irishwoman throws the mic to the canvas before heading back to backstage. AJ Lee smiles as the segment comes to an end.
The Usos make their entrance down the venue stands. Jimmy and Jey interact with the fans as they head to the ring. Once there, the audience asks for an encore, which they quickly grant. After that, it's Alpha Academy's turn, who head to the ring for the first match of the night.
World Tag Team Championships Match
The Usos (c) vs Alpha Academy (Otis and Akira Tozawa)
Otis and Jey are the ones to start the match. Both shake hands as a sign of respect before testing their strength. Otis takes down the champion. Jey gets up to catch Otis in a headlock, but the challenger easily frees himself to take down the former with a shoulder tackle. Tozawa receives the tag to continue the fight.
Akira surprises Jimmy with a hurricanrana before taking him down with an enzuigiri. 1..2..NO. Jey tries to intervene, only to receive another enzuigiri. The Usos end up outside the ring. Tozawa prepares to dive onto both of them with a tope, but Otis stops him. Otis carries his partner on his shoulders to launch him onto the Samoans.
The action returns to the ring. Jimmy escapes a headlock from Tozawa to respond with a samoan drop. Jimmy punishes Akira with the help of the ropes. The referee separates the champion from the Japanese, a moment that Jey takes advantage of to slap him illegally. Jey receives the tag to catch Akira in a headlock on the mat. The Japanese frees himself, only to receive a flurry of punches from his opponent. Tozawa responds with a punch from his own arsenal before applying a DDT. Both men end up lying on the mat.
Akira and Jey crawl to their respective corners to tag in their partners. Otis enters with everything, taking care of both opponents at the same time! Otis crushes Jey in one of the corners before executing a bodyslam on Jimmy. 1..2..NO. Otis takes down Jimmy, who tags in Jey without the challenger noticing. Otis starts his Caterpillar, but Jey interrupts it with a superkick, albeit poorly executed.
Otis manages to recover to tag in Akira, who dives onto The Usos with a double Missile Dropkick. Jey and Jimmy end up on opposite sides outside the ring. Tozawa dives against them with two consecutive suicide dives. Akira brings Jimmy back into the ring to finish him off with a diving senton. One..two..three..
Winners and STILL World Tag Team Champions: The Usos
Jimmy and Jey congratulate Otis and Tozawa, with all four men showing mutual respect after a great match. Alpha Academy leaves the ring, at which point Byron Saxton joins the Samoans to interview them. Saxton congratulates them on tonight's victory before asking them what's next for them. First of all, Jey wants to praise the magnificent work of Otis and Tozawa, making it clear that they have all his respect. Jimmy, on the other hand, points out that at WrestleMania they will remind everyone why they are the best team in the division. But before that, Jimmy needs his brother to qualify for Elimination Chamber. Once he does, he must win the men's Elimination Chamber and go straight to WrestleMania, where he will be the "Main Event" Jey Uso again. "Cleveland, do you agree with that?! Four letters, one word. YEET", exclaims Jimmy to end the segment.
We see a video recap of last week's show's main segment, starring Roman Reigns and CM Punk.
Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio make their way to the ring. Liv is about to speak, but Dominik interrupts her. Mysterio approaches the ropes, where he picks up a bouquet of flowers and a heart-shaped box of chocolates. “For the greatest Royal Rumble winner of all time,” Dominik says as he hands them to his “güerita.” She tells the fans in Cleveland that they should learn from her man, especially with “Valentine’s Day” approaching. “Thank you, Dominik, I’ll give you your gift later,” Liv says as she places the bouquet and chocolates on the canvas. Morgan reminds the crowd that they are in the presence of the greatest Intercontinental Champion in history and the best Royal Rumble winner of “toooooooooooooooootal all time.” “Last week I put Jade Cargill and Stephanie Vaquer on notice. They fear me, I know it, because they know that whoever I choose at WrestleMania is going to lose their championship on the biggest stage of them all”, says a confident Liv. Mysterio is about to speak, but a burst of fireworks startles him.
Stephanie Vaquer storms onto the scene!
Stephanie heads toward the ring. Once inside, “La Primera” stands face to face with Morgan. “Liv, you talk too much,” says the Chilean. “Now you’re going to listen to me, because what you did last week was a cheap trick, just like you. And you know what? If you want to be champion, you should choose Jade,” Vaquer says in Spanish. Liv asks Mysterio to translate for her. Dom chooses not to, but he does respond to the World Champion in Spanish. Mysterio makes it clear that he doesn’t care what she says about his “güerita,” because she is the best of all, and always will be. That said, he assures her that she could take her championship away from her. Liv asks Dom what she said. Stephanie interrupts them. “He said you’re a little bitch,” Vaquer says in English. Morgan admits she doesn’t understand Spanish, but she knows Stephanie is a liar. That being said, and since it seems she wants her man’s attention, maybe she should give her a T-shirt like the one she’s wearing (Morgan is wearing a black T-shirt that reads: “Hot girls love Dominik Mysterio”). However, now that she looks at her closely, maybe the Chilean isn’t fit to wear it. “I hope you choose me so I can kick your ass at WrestleMania”, Stephanie says in English before heading toward backstage. Liv stops her before she can step down from the apron to make it clear that she won’t make a rushed decision. “And if you don’t like that, you can cry about it, bitch”, Morgan says. “Bitch!? You calling me a bitch?”, a furious Stephanie exclaims in Spanish. Dominik steps between them, only to receive a slap from the Chilean. Morgan checks on her partner as the champion heads back toward backstage.
We see a promotional video for the qualifying match coming up next.
Elimination Chamber Qualifying Triple Threat Match
Rhea Ripley vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Ivy Nile
Ivy takes out Valkyria as soon as the bell rings. Nile continues her assault on Rhea, but Ripley stops her with a dropkick. Lyra returns to fight the Australian. Both women lock up. Ivy catches them both to execute a double german suplex. The action spills to ringside. Rhea hoists Ivy onto her shoulders before dropping her onto the apron. At that moment, Lyra launches herself at “Mami” to surprise her with a hurricanrana.
Valkyria brings Nile back into the ring to execute a diving crossbody. 1..2..NO. The Irishwoman applies a bridging suplex. 1..2..NO. Rhea grabs Ivy to pull her out of the ring, then throws her into the commentary table. Ripley dodges a rope dropkick from Lyra and answers with a superkick. Rhea brings her back into the ring, but her opponent surprises her with a painful submission hold. Ivy returns to surprise the Irishwoman with a german suplex.
Nile blocks a Razor’s Edge from Rhea and throws her into one of the corners. Ivy goes back after Lyra, applying an inverted suplex. 1...2...NO. The action moves to the top of one of the turnbuckles. Ripley shoves Ivy, leaving her hanging by her legs. Lyra stomps on Nile before grabbing Rhea. Ivy grabs Lyra and launches her with a german suplex, causing Valkyria to execute a superplex on Rhea.
Ivy kicks both of her opponents in opposite corners. Ripley recovers and unleashes an offensive flurry on Ivy, capped off with a dropkick straight to the face. Valkyria tries to surprise the Australian, who lifts her onto her shoulders and drops her onto the canvas. Ivy dives in late, preventing her from hitting the Irishwoman on the fall, but still goes for the cover. 1..2..NO. Rhea breaks up the count.

Winner: Rhea Ripley
We head to The Judgment Day “clubhouse,” where Liv Morgan is talking with Raquel Rodriguez. A battered Dominik Mysterio joins them. Morgan reminds him that he has an Elimination Chamber qualifying match next week. Dom is aware of it, but complains that Adam Pearce is also forcing him to defend the Intercontinental Championship. Raquel and Liv ask Mysterio to talk to Finn Bálor, who remains seated in silence. Dom approaches him to cheer him up. Mysterio knows that Bálor wasn’t able to defeat CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship in Ireland, but it doesn’t matter, because JD McDonagh will be back soon and then they’ll be able to regain the World Tag Team Championships. Then everything will be fine again. Finn makes it clear that he isn’t finished with “The Best in the World,” because his goal is still to win the top championship. Dominik understands how he feels, but everyone is talking about CM Punk and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, so that door seems closed for the Irishman. “You know what, Dom? I’m tired of being pushed into the background. I thought we were family”, Bálor says before walking away. “We are,” Mysterio replies as he watches his partner leave.
Vic Joseph interviews Je’Von Evans in the stands. Evans says he’s proud of his victory last week, even though he couldn’t compete at 100%. As for the situation with the two Grande Americanos, Je’Von says he knows nothing about it. All he knows is that the Cleveland crowd will have fun tonight. Joseph reminds him that tonight he’ll face Los Americanos (Bravo and Rayo), but we still don’t know his tag team partner. Evans prefers not to reveal the identity to keep the surprise. Finally, Je’Von says he’s excited ahead of his Elimination Chamber qualifying match, because winning that and then later in Chicago would send him straight to the WrestleMania main event.
We see Michael Cole in the ring, ready to interview CM Punk. However, Finn Bálor storms into the ring to speak. The Irishman laments that everyone is thinking about the future and has already forgotten the recent past, because it was he who destroyed CM Punk two weeks ago. “CM Punk is hurt. And I know it because I’m the one who did it. So I’m not going to step aside and let Roman Reigns take advantage of the opening I created”, Finn says. Because this isn’t the first time the Samoan has taken advantage of him. The Irishman hasn’t forgotten the incident in the corner when he had “The OTC” at his mercy. That said, Bálor makes it clear that he wants CM Punk, he wants the World Heavyweight Championship, and he wants both at Elimination Chamber. “CM Punk, you beat me on my own turf. Fair play. Now I’ll beat you on yours”, Finn says.
Adam Pearce comes out. Accompanied by several members of security, the General Manager makes it clear to the Irishman that he won’t get what he’s asking for. Finn already had his opportunity. Now we’re on the Road to WrestleMania, and it’s already too late. “Like at Royal Rumble, huh? Too late,” a frustrated Bálor says. Pearce points out that CM Punk and Roman Reigns already have their match scheduled for the grand event, so he can’t grant the Irishman’s wish. That said, he reminds him that they’ve known each other for a long time, so he asks him not to complicate things and to leave the ring. “Please, do yourself a favor. Leave the ring and let Michael Cole do his job interviewing the champion. Otherwise, Finn, I’ll have my men escort you out of here”, Adam says.
CM Punk makes his entrance!
Pearce tries to reason with “The Best in the World,” but he ends up entering the ring. Bálor, meanwhile, climbs onto the commentary table. Both men stare at each other as security stands between them. Pearce asks the champion to calm down. CM Punk tells the Irishman that he’s very much on his mind. However, he doesn’t deserve another title shot—he deserves to get his ass kicked. That’s why he challenges him to come back into the ring and fight. “No, Punk. Not like this. I’m not going to fight you for no reason. Put the title on the line, and I’ll finish what I started two weeks ago”, Finn says.
CM Punk removes the belt and drops it onto the canvas. “Cleveland would love to see you try. Come on, here and now!”, “The Best in the World” shouts. Bálor prepares to get down from the table, but security stops him. CM Punk reminds him that he already beat him in Belfast, and he’ll do it again here in Cleveland—or in Chicago, if he wants. Pearce refuses to approve the idea, pointing out that he won’t risk one of the main events of WrestleMania 42. CM Punk approaches the General Manager to remind him that, as champion, he has a say in the matter. “Either you give me what I want, or I’ll spend the rest of the show chasing him down and kicking his face in until he chokes on his teeth. I’ll get my revenge, Finn!”, he shouts. “Make it official!” he insists to Adam. “Alright, alright! CM Punk! Finn Bálor! For the World Heavyweight Championship at Elimination Chamber! It’s official!”, Pearce yells to put an end to the situation. Satisfied, Finn climbs down from the commentary table to be escorted away by security. CM Punk, for his part, turns to Michael Cole, ready to be interviewed, just as originally planned.
Cole asks CM Punk why he’s willing to risk one of the WrestleMania main events just to face Finn Bálor. “I’m not risking anything. What I’m doing is building something, chasing something. And that something is greatness. I’m the champion who fights that these people deserve to see every Monday night”, CM Punk responds. He recalls his historic 434-day reign, noting that his only goal is to be 1% better every single day. Because carrying that championship comes with responsibility. “I’ll fight anyone, anywhere, anytime, to prove what I say—that I am The Best in the World!”, he exclaims. CM Punk is fully aware that doing so involves risk, but he owes it to the fans, because they deserve it. He also knows very well that everything can end at any moment, any night, in any city—but that won’t happen. With that said, he sends a direct message to his WrestleMania opponent. “Roman Reigns, you say you hate me. The truth is, I don’t believe it. How could you hate me? I don’t even think you hate what I’m trying to build. I think what you hate is knowing that you can’t do absolutely anything to stop it. There’s only one way WrestleMania ends, and that’s with my hand being raised and the ring announcer saying, ‘and still World Heavyweight Champion, C-M-PUNK!’,” exclaims “The Best in the World.” He then shakes Cole’s hand and leaves the ring. “I fight for this!” CM Punk shouts as he points to his title. “This belongs to me, and you’ll have to pry it from my cold, dead fingers!”, he adds while walking up the entrance ramp. And with that, this segment comes to an end.
Adam Pearce is talking with a security guard, who confirms that Finn Bálor has been escorted out of the building. Paul Heyman and The Vision (Austin Theory, Logan Paul, and Bronson Reed) approach the General Manager. Pearce tells his man that he can leave. Heyman addresses Adam directly, acknowledging that he’s smarter than he thought, since he kept pressing Bron Breakker until he went home. He has now undergone surgery to treat a hernia—a problem that can end any career… except Bron’s. Paul points out that Adam bears full responsibility for what happened. Pearce stands up to remind him that he is the General Manager of Raw. And as such, he’s fully aware that Breakker is the future of this company. So he wants him back as soon as possible just as much as they do. That said, he advises him to focus on Elimination Chamber, since one of his associates, Theory, has a chance to qualify for the PLE. “Thank you,” Paul says as he prepares to leave, but Adam stops him. “Do me a favor. Don’t get involved. Not you, and not any of them”, the General Manager says while looking at all the members of the faction. “Mr. General Manager. Is that an order or a statement?” Paul asks. “Since we’re talking as friends, consider it a threat”, Pearce replies. Heyman leaves with his men, but Logan stays behind. “The Maverick” squares up to Adam. “And if we do get involved, what are you going to do about it?” he asks defiantly. “I’m the biggest star to ever come out of Cleveland, and you won’t do anything. Nothing”, he says while feinting a strike. Reed returns to pull his partner away from the General Manager. “Come on, he’s not your problem. Trust me. Now he’s MY problem,” the Australian says as the segment comes to an end.
Nattie vs. Maxxine Dupri
Maxxine surprises Nattie with an Ankle Lock right at the start of the match. The Canadian breaks free, only to be knocked down with a spinning kick. Nattie rolls out to ringside. Dupri follows her to trap her once again in an Ankle Lock. Nattie escapes and shoves her opponent into the steel steps. The Canadian throws Maxxine into one of the ring posts before clearing off the commentary table. Nattie grabs her rival and drops her onto the table. The Canadian climbs onto it to continue attacking Dupri, completely ignoring that the referee’s count has reached 10.
Double count-out
Nattie applies a painful Sharpshooter to Maxxine, who screams in agony. Several officials rush over to the commentary table to try to separate the Canadian from her victim, but they can’t. Suddenly…
Let’s light it up!
AJ Lee runs down to ringside, forcing Nattie to retreat. AJ Lee approaches Dupri, who is crying uncontrollably. AJ Lee and a referee help her back to backstage. However, Becky Lynch appears out of nowhere to ambush AJ Lee, slamming her into one of the posts! AJ Lee is left laid out on the floor as a satisfied Lynch heads back to backstage.
LA Knight cuts a video promo. “The Megastar” admits he’s obsessed with The Vision. And the reason is because two months ago they brutally attacked him, putting him out of action for weeks. But now he’s back with a clear goal: revenge. At Royal Rumble he eliminated two of their members, but that wasn’t enough. As far as he’s concerned, Bron Breakker got lucky. Something Austin Theory won’t enjoy, because tonight he’ll take away any chance he has of making it to WrestleMania. The Vision tried to take everything from him when they attacked him. Now it’s time for him to pay them back in kind, and it all starts tonight with Theory, as the fans chant “L-A-Knight. YEAH.”
El Grande Americano, Bravo Americano, and Rayo Americano make their way to the ring. El Grande Americano takes a microphone to address the fans. “As always, first I want to ask: how many of my Mexican countrymen are here tonight?” he asks in Spanish. Rayo takes the mic to make it clear that this is their family, and together they form the best team of wrestlers. Bravo, for his part, berates the fans in Cleveland for lacking culture and respect, since they can’t understand that they are standing before the greatest team of wrestlers in history. Bravo promises that tonight they will teach Je’Von Evans a lesson: they will show him what true Mexican culture is. El Grande Americano speaks one last time to assure that whoever Evans’ partner may be, their luck will end tonight, because they will fall defeated at the hands of the greatest team of all time.
Je’Von Evans makes his entrance. After greeting some fans in the front row, he waits for his partner’s arrival—and it’s none other than The Original El Grande Americano!
Tag Team Match
Los Americanos (Bravo and Rayo) (with El Grande Americano) vs. Je’Von Evans and The Original El Grande Americano
Je’Von and Rayo start the match. Evans shows off his great agility to surprise Rayo with a dropkick. Je’Von hits a cutter on Rayo, who quickly tags in Bravo. Rayo grabs Evans to pull him out of the ring, allowing Bravo to hit him with a sliding dropkick. Los Americanos return to the ring to celebrate, but The Original El Grande Americano crashes down on them with a double diving clothesline. The Original El Grande Americano and Je’Von clear their rivals with two clotheslines before posing for the fans.
Los Americanos trap Evans and smash his groin into one of the posts. Bravo and Rayo take turns punishing their opponent. Los Americanos knock Je’Von down with a double flying headbutt. Bravo takes Evans to the top of one of the turnbuckles. Je’Von kicks him away before launching himself at him with a corkscrew senton. He then tags in The Original El Grande Americano, who comes in on fire.
The Original El Grande Americano executes a double german suplex on Los Americanos. The Original El Grande Americano applies an Ankle Lock on Rayo, who escapes to tag in Bravo. Evans gets the tag and launches himself at Bravo with a springboard clothesline. Je’Von rebounds off the ropes to knock Rayo down with an enzuigiri.
The referee checks on Rayo, giving El Grande Americano the chance to shove The Original El Grande Americano off the top turnbuckle. Bravo goes for a diving headbutt on The Original El Grande Americano, but he moves out of the way. At the same time, Je’Von hits an OG Cutter that connects perfectly on Bravo in mid-fall. After that, Evans launches himself with a tope onto Rayo, allowing The Original El Grande Americano to finish Bravo with a diving headbutt. 1..2..3.
Winners: Je’Von Evans and The Original El Grande Americano
El Grande Americano attacks The Original El Grande Americano from behind as he celebrates the victory. El Grande Americano tries to rip off his mask, but his enemy turns the tables. Now it’s The Original El Grande Americano who attempts to unmask El Grande Americano, but Bravo and Rayo intervene to save him. Los Americanos retreat toward backstage while The Original El Grande Americano challenges them to come back.
We see a promotional video for tonight’s main event.
Vic Joseph interviews Bayley and Lyra Valkyria in the stands. Joseph asks Lyra if she’s disappointed by her loss tonight. The Irishwoman responds irritably. Bayley apologizes to Joseph on her partner’s behalf, pointing out that getting to WrestleMania is very important to them. And even though Lyra lost tonight, they still have another opportunity, as “The Role Model” will compete against Asuka and Nattie in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match. Last year, their “WrestleMania Moment” was taken from them, but that won’t happen again. Bayley assures that the two of them are the best team in WWE. They just need one opportunity to prove it. And no matter how many times they get knocked down, they always get back up to keep moving forward day after day.
We see a promotional video starring Oba Femi. “Man has always struggled with the concept of change. People fear change. When the tides begin to turn, they cling to idols and false prophets, holding on to what once was. They don’t understand that change is inevitable. If you don’t adapt, you die. For a long time, I’ve said that change is coming. But no—the change is already here. You will hear my drums and see my arrival. And you will know it is done, because Change has sent Oba Femi,” says “The Ruler.”
Byron Saxton interviews Gunther in the locker room. “The Ring General” says he couldn’t care less about Dragon Lee. He only cares about WrestleMania 42. However, he laments that his road to the grand event has to begin with an Elimination Chamber qualifying match instead of with his victories over Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles, whom he has retired. But it doesn’t matter, because the outcome won’t change. “I will walk out of WrestleMania as the new WWE Champion”, he says before leaving.
