“Stone Cold” Steve Austin will be present once again during the most important weekend of the year for WWE. Although no appearance in the ring has been announced, the Hall of Fame member will still be part of the events surrounding WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
During the latest edition of Monday Night Raw, it was confirmed that Steve Austin will take part in WWE World, the company's official convention, where he will offer photo sessions and autograph signings. Austin will be present on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, coinciding with the two nights of WrestleMania 42.
At the moment, it has not been announced whether Austin will appear in the show held at Allegiant Stadium. His last participation in WrestleMania took place in 2025, during the second night of WrestleMania 41, when he came out to announce attendance, in a segment that ended up being remembered for his accident with a quad against the protective barrier.
Regarding his future as a wrestler, Austin himself has made it clear that a return to the ring is very unlikely. His last match was at WrestleMania 38 in 2022, when he defeated Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred Match. Since then, speculations have been constant, but his physical condition seems to definitively close that door.
Probably not. Never say never, but with the knee operation I had last year… I was limping a lot and didn't even realize it. People would ask me what was wrong and I had no idea.
Austin explained that the knee replacement was a result of years of chronic pain caused by arthritis, a situation that even affected his mood.
The arthritis got worse over the years and there came a point where the pain was constant. I thought: why didn't I have the operation earlier? It changes your personality. You just want some relief. Getting out of that pain and being able to stay active has been a huge change.
Although fans always dream of one last Stunner at WrestleMania, everything points to Stone Cold Steve Austin's presence in Las Vegas being strictly outside the ring. Even so, his mere participation in WrestleMania 42 weekend guarantees one of the main attractions for fans traveling to the city.
