The CW and Netflix will air a new episode of WWE NXT tonight, with Vic Joseph and Booker T at the commentary table, live from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The show will feature several matches and segments of interest, highlighting a tag team match that will determine the next challenger for the NXT Women's Championship.
The show will open with Joe Hendry, who last week became the new NXT Champion. Additionally, Jaida Parker and Blake Monroe will face off one-on-one after weeks of tensions. As always, we invite you to comment on the article to give your opinion on what happened on the show.
WWE NXT starts on Netflix!
The show begins with a video recap of last week's episode.
Say his name and he appears!
Joe Hendry is in charge of opening tonight's show. The Scotsman makes his entrance with the NXT Championship around his waist. Hendry poses with the title in one of the corners before taking a microphone. "We believe!", chant the fans. Joe thanks them for believing in him. "You deserve it!", the audience chants. Hendry confesses that, unlike the fans, he doubted himself during last week's Ladder Match. However, thanks to the energy the fans gave him, he was able to overcome this challenge to become the new champion of the brand. It was at that moment when he realized that he should never have doubted himself. Because all his achievements in his career (being a two-time amateur wrestling champion in the UK, winning the TNA World Championship, facing Randy Orton at WrestleMania, the success of his music theme) have been steps that have led him to the top. "But that doesn't mean the climb is over. We've only just begun. This goes out to the entire WWE Universe and to all of us here tonight: We are NXT and we're going to take it to new heights!", exclaims the Scotsman. "Because We Believe is not just a catchphrase, it's a..."
The Vanity Project interrupts the promo!
Fans boo Jackson Drake, preventing him from speaking. Furious, he reminds them that they are in the presence of the WWE Evolve Champion. Jackson and his partners head to the ring, with the former affirming that Hendry does not deserve the NXT Championship. "Let's be honest, at best you're average. A guy like you goes viral by appearing out of nowhere and singing stupid songs. A guy like me goes viral looking this good while doing things in the ring that you can only dream of", says Drake. Fans continue to boo Jackson. "&Shy;Shut up already!", they chant.
The WWE Evolve Champion stands in front of the Scotsman to confess that it was them who attacked him backstage two weeks ago. The reason?: Disrespecting them. "You made Ricky's girl disappear," he says. Fans continue to chant "&Shy;Shut up already!". "We tried to finish you because you simply don't belong in this place", says Jackson. "You tried to keep me out of the match, but you failed. Maybe if you spent the same time you spend picking your outfits coordinating your attacks, you would have succeeded", says Joe mockingly. Jackson refuses to argue with him about fashion before pointing out that they will follow the advice of their good friend Ethan Page, which is to finish the job and snatch the championship from the Scotsman.
Joe thanks them for being brave enough to admit that they attacked him two weeks ago. That said, he makes it clear that he has no problem kicking their butts and defending the NXT Championship. Drake throws a right at Joe, but he blocks it to counterattack. Hendry applies a Freak of Nature on Smokes before catching Brad, whom he intends to take down with a Standing Ovation. However, Drake prevents it with a chop block. The Vanity Project launch a three-on-one assault, which ends with Jackson knocking out the NXT Champion with the Un-Aliving. Drake poses with the brand's belt as we reach the end of this segment.
Sol Ruca and Zaria converse in the women's locker room about what happened last week. Ruca insists to her partner that the Sol Snatcher she applied was an unfortunate accident. That said, she hopes that both can leave all this behind and return to being the great team they have always been, because otherwise, the title opportunity at stake tonight will be for WrenQCC, and not for them. Zaria asks her why she speaks in the plural. Hasn't Sol had enough title opportunities already? The Australian makes it clear that now it's her turn, so she proposes that neither of them interfere in each other's match tonight. That said, she leaves the place. "A good talk, I guess," says Sol.
Jaida Parker walks to the ring while sending a message to Blake Monroe. Jaida recalls that all the women who have tried to take her down have learned the same lesson: "No one messes with Jaida Parker and gets away with it." "Did you want my attention so badly? Congratulations, now you have it. Because tonight it's your butt that's going to be kicked. Did you want a fight so badly? Well, you've got one," says Jaida before entering the scene.
Keanu Carver approaches Robert Stone backstage. Carver asks the Interim General Manager why Jackson Drake has a title shot before him. "Jackson confronted Joe first, and after what Vanity Project did to him, Joe also wanted the match. Shawn Michaels wants chaos, and I'll give it to him," Stone replies. "So he wants chaos, huh? Say no more," says Keanu before leaving. Stone soon realizes the mistake he has just made, so he stops Carver by putting his hand on his shoulder. Keanu turns to him. "Any problem?" Carver asks as he glares at him. "No. No," a fearful Stone repeats as he raises his arms. Carver continues on his way to end the segment.
Jaida Parker vs. Blake Monroe
Parker tries to attack Monroe before the bell rings, but the referee (Victoria D'Errico) prevents her. Jaida confronts her opponent, who soon pushes her. D'Errico separates Parker from the Brit, who then throws her robe. Blake escapes to ringside. Parker goes after her, only to receive a slap. "The Glamour" returns to the ring, followed by Parker, who is soon surprised.
Monroe takes her opponent to one of the corners to strike her. Jaida catches Blake in a bodyscissors. The Brit rolls to the ropes to force the release. Jaida approaches her, only to be surprised with a Guillotine Rope. Parker tries to respond, but her opponent pushes her against one of the corners, where she rains down clotheslines directly to the back of her neck.
Parker damages Blake's left arm, causing her to fall to ringside. Jaida goes after her, but the Brit makes her stumble against the commentary table. "The Glamour" kicks Parker before bringing her back into the ring. Blake executes a suplex. 1..2..NO. Monroe punishes her opponent with the help of the ropes before applying a poorly executed DDT. Jaida seems to have hurt her neck with the impact.
Parker tries to recover, but Monroe knocks her down with a slingblade. Blake traps her opponent in an STF. Jaida frees herself, only for her opponent to push her against one of the corners, where she continues to hit her. Monroe throws Jaida to the mat with a Stratusphere before applying a dropkick. Parker blocks a kick from the Brit to start a counterattack that ends with a samoan drop.
Jaida takes Monroe to one of the corners. "The Glamour" tries to escape, but her opponent immobilizes her in the ropes. After that, Parker executes The Silencer. Jaida prepares to finish her off with the Hipnotic, but the Brit escapes to ringside. Parker goes after her to start an exchange of attacks. Meanwhile, D'Errico continues counting. Jaida and Blake continue fighting at ringside, unaware that the official's count has reached 10.
Double count-out
Several officials appear on the scene to separate both women. However, they cannot prevent Parker from executing once again The Silencer, this time with Blake leaning on the apron and the metal stairs. Jaida brings her back into the ring. After dodging two security members, Parker enters the ring to execute the Hipnotic, but the impact is received by a referee who was attending to "The Glamour"! She jumps over the audience barrier. Jaida tries to stop her, but security intervenes. Furious, Jaida gets rid of one of them with a low blow. Parker pushes a second and slaps a third. After that, she kicks the first, who is sent flying against the audience barrier, which ends up shattered in the process. Blake watches the scene from the stands while Jaida is held back by the rest of the officials.
Tatum Paxley stars in a promotional video. We see Tatum underwater as she recalls her story with Izzi Dame and The Culling. Paxley has spent a lot of time looking for friendships until she realized that what she really sought were pieces of herself that could complete her. Now she is on a path in search of balance while adopting the right mindset. "When this is over, I won't come out as the version of Tatum Paxley that Izzi tried to create. I'll come out as the version of Tatum Paxley that I should have always been," she says.
Kale Dixon confronts Uriah Connors backstage about what happened last week. Kale acknowledges that he is also frustrated, but he will not abandon Chase U, which they helped bring back. Dixon points out that they owe a lot to Andre Chase. "We don't owe him anything. He was holding me back," says Uriah. Lexis King, Arianna Grace, and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo appear on the scene. "Maybe you listen to his nonsense, but I won't," says Kale before leaving. Grace addresses Connors, pointing out that neither Dixon nor Chase can understand their frustration because they are not like them. Uriah acknowledges that his intention was to distance himself from his father's name, but now he understands: he cannot ignore that he has belonged to this business since forever. King agrees with him. They have all walked the same path to NXT. It is their birthright. "All we need is the final piece of the puzzle," says King referring to Charlie Dempsey. "Our parents share a little story, you know what I mean? I'll talk to him," says Uriah. And so we reach the end of this segment.

Eli seeks height in one of the corners to launch himself with a moonsault.

Troy executes a Black Hole Slam on LeFleur before applying a chokeslam on Eli, who lands on the Frenchman's back. Jasper raises the WWE Speed Championship over both to end the segment.
Robert Stone approaches Lola Vice in the infirmary. The Interim General Manager congratulates her on her title victory in the last episode of Lucha Libre AAA. That said, he informs her that he has prepared a match against Kelani Jordan for her, but only if the doctor allows her to fight. Lola assures him that, regardless of the condition of her hand, nothing will prevent her from facing Jordan, especially after she cost her another title opportunity. An official appears on the scene to ask Stone and the doctor to accompany him immediately. They don't take long to follow him. Lola asks what's going on, and at that moment Kelani appears to attack her from behind! "I'm finishing what I started," says Jordan before kicking Vice's injured hand against a small piece of furniture. We now move to another area backstage, where Keanu Carver has attacked several talents, including Sean Legacy, Tavion Heights, Elio LeFleur, Andre Chase, and Kale Dixon. Carver leaves the scene, satisfied with the chaos he has created.
DarkState carries out a promo in the ring. Dion Lennox recalls how close he was last week to winning the NXT Championship. And that made him realize that DarkState belongs in the NXT main event. It's been a year since they joined forces, and now they dominate the brand. They currently have a championship-level, adding that it's only a matter of time before they get their hands on the brand's top title. Lennox addresses Joe Hendry and Jackson Drake directly, making it clear that he doesn't care which of them ends up with the title at the end of the night because they will become his target.
Cutler James takes the floor to recall Tony D'Angelo's promo from last week. Cutler points out that D'Angelo has no friends or family. And nothing has changed during the six months he took off. Tony is alone, while they are stronger than ever. "This is your first and last warning: look for your inner self elsewhere," he says.
Saquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin send a message to The Culling, making it clear that they won't be able to snatch the Tag Team Championships from them. Shawn Spears and Niko Vance respond from the stands. Spears points out that they won't go after them knowing they are at a numerical disadvantage. "You divide to conquer. I get it. We plan first and conquer later. That's our advantage, and soon you'll realize it," says Shawn. Vance points out that dividing makes you weaker, and they demonstrated that a couple of weeks ago. Niko affirms that The Culling are the hunters and DarkState the prey, whom they will purge by snatching the tag team championships. Suddenly, the lights in the venue go out.
OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) make their entrance in true DarkState style. Nima points out that the Tag Team Championships should be in their hands. In fact, if it weren't for Vanity Project, they wouldn't be having this conversation now. Price addresses Vance and Spears, asking them if they want to wait, because OTM won't fail a second time.
Hank Walker and Tank Ledger appear on the entrance ramp to remind OTM and The Culling that they know what it’s like to carry the tag team championships. Walker promises that, once they deal with Vanity Project tonight, they’re going straight for the titles. Fed up, Osiris and Saquon step out of the ring to start a fight with them. Nima and Price quickly join the brawl, which spills into backstage. Meanwhile, Tony D'Angelo storms into the ring to surprise Dion and Cutler! D'Angelo takes Lennox down with a spear before planting James with a spinebuster. Tony repeats the move on Dion. D'Angelo stands tall over his victims as the segment comes to an end.
Kelly Kincaid interviews a busy Robert Stone backstage. With all the chaos taking place in NXT, the brand’s Interim General Manager has decided to book a triple threat tag team match for next week, with the winners receiving a title opportunity in Atlanta. Stone enters his office, where Shiloh Hill is waiting with a Jason Vorhees mask and a machete in hand. Stone laments not being able to attend to him, as he has too much to worry about right now. Hill promises he won’t take much of his time. Ethan Page appears on the scene. “All Ego” introduces himself as the face of NXT, which is why he asks Hill to leave the office. Stone promises Shiloh they’ll talk later. Hill leaves. Stone knows that Page didn’t have a good relationship with the previous NXT regime, but he wants to change that. “What can I do for you, champ?” he asks. Ethan reminds him that his reign as NXT North American Champion is tied for the current record in total defenses. His goal is to surpass that record, and he wants to know how Stone can help him achieve it. The Interim General Manager suggests potential challengers, but “All Ego” rejects them all, including Myles Borne. Hill returns to the office, as he forgot his machete. “What about Shiloh Hill?” Stone asks. Shiloh accepts the proposal while waving his machete. Page focuses entirely on avoiding it, not realizing the match has already been made official.
