Mickie James was one of the big surprises of TNA No Surrender. The former Knockouts World Champion returned to the company after more than two years away. James interrupted the celebration of The Elegance Brand, who had just retained the Knockouts World Tag Team Championships, to start a fight with their leader, Ash By Elegance, leading many to wonder if the veteran has returned to compete in a TNA ring.

This question was posed to her during her most recent appearance on Busted Open Radio. James recalled the projects she has been involved in over the past two years, as well as her current status with the company, acknowledging that she is currently open to any proposal, as long as it feels right to her.

"You know, I've been doing a lot of things. I've also been doing a lot of reflecting, ever since I was part of the (WWE) LFG program, where I served as a mentor. Wrestling is one of those things that, as they say, you carry in your blood. And I'm very competitive, and you constantly ask yourself: 'What if? What if?'" James said.

"In my opinion, any opportunity that feels right and feels good at this moment would probably be... I mean, I'll always be involved in wrestling in some way, because I love it with all my heart. I've dedicated more than half of my life to this. I'm very, very passionate about it," she continued.

"So I really don't know. And I think that's a somewhat strange situation for me, and also a position that is scary, but at the same time has helped me to sit down and be open to anything that feels right and correct. And if it doesn't feel right or doesn't feel correct, that's okay too, you know?"

About her return at TNA No Surrender

"It was great to return to the locker room. And I was, you know, not worried, but you always wonder: 'Oh, how are people going to feel, even backstage and all that?' And the locker room was amazing. The girls there were amazing. They were great," she said. "And yeah, it was good to be back in the environment for a moment. Honestly, it was nice to shake off a bit of the dust from the old heels, you know? The high-heeled work boots."
