The defense of the AAA Mega Championship by Dominik Mysterio at Rey de Reyes is no longer just a matter of titles. Now his stay in Mexico is also at stake. During the broadcast of the weekly show of Lucha Libre AAA on Fox, the match against El Hijo del Vikingo took on a much more dangerous dimension for the Judgment Day member.
At the official contract signing, Vikingo did not just accept the championship challenge. The former champion made it clear that he intended to raise the stakes to the highest level: if Dominik loses, he must leave Mexico and will not be able to compete in Lucha Libre AAA again. In addition, the match will be no disqualification, eliminating any safety net.
If Vikingo regains the Mega Championship, Dominik Mysterio will be forced to leave Mexico and AAA permanently.
The segment quickly turned into a battlefield. Vikingo appeared backed by his allies from El Ojo, Dorian Roldán, and Omos, surrounding Mysterio in the ring. Just when it seemed the champion was about to suffer a beating in numerical inferiority, El Grande Americano burst in to even the odds.
However, the intervention attempt was not decisive. Omos withstood the impact of a chair almost unfazed, and the chaos allowed Dominik to slip away from the center of the conflict. The situation became even more confusing with the appearance of the Original El Grande Americano, who entered the scene to confront the other Americano while the champion chose to retreat and watch from a distance.
