Chelsea Green is recovering better than expected from her ankle injury

Chelsea Green is currently sidelined from action after suffering an ankle injury at the beginning of the month. The Canadian confirmed the news through her social media, hinting at the possibility of continuing to appear on WWE television programming, as has ended up happening. A sign that her injury may not be as serious as to keep her away from the ring for too long.

Today, Green has provided an update on her health, revealing that her ankle is fractured. However, her recovery is progressing faster than expected, which is why she did not hesitate to continue working, even if it was in a wheelchair. She explained this in a recent appearance on Busted Open.

"I'm okay, it hurts. The ankle is fractured. I mean, the internet already knew that my ankle had all kinds of things before I even knew it. But, yes, it's broken, although it's not the worst type of fracture, so I'm fine, I'm fine. I'm recovering very quickly, so I'm very grateful," she said.

"When I broke it and found out... I broke it on Friday, but I didn't actually know until Wednesday. Well, I had already spent three days at Disney and Universal. I had already been drinking, walking, and riding roller coasters. So I thought, 'Well, if I can do all that, I'm going to text work because I want to work. I want to be in a wheelchair or hobbling around with an orthopedic boot.' Come on. Come on. So much fun stuff," she added.

For now, and pending a new update, it is unknown how long Chelsea will be out of action. However, it seems that the Canadian will not have to undergo surgery. Last week, Green pointed to Tiffany Stratton as the direct cause of her injury, which led to a match between the latter and Alba Fyre. A match in which Chelsea was involved, but did not help her partner achieve victory.
