Today we will once again enjoy a new live coverage of WWE SmackDown, which this time will be broadcast live from the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. This will be the last show of the blue brand before Elimination Chamber, and it will feature the participants of the men's PLE match.
In addition, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY will defend the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against Nia Jax and Lash Legend. As always, we invite you to comment on the article to give your opinion on what happens on this week's blue brand show.
WWE SmackDown starts on Netflix!
The show begins with a commotion in the parking lot of the venue. We see Jey Uso on a stretcher being loaded into an ambulance. A furious Jacob Fatu yells at everyone present before getting into the vehicle as Jey's companion. The ambulance heads to the hospital. Meanwhile, the commotion continues. Cody Rhodes approaches Nick Aldis to ask what happened, but the General Manager is unaware. A smiling Trick Williams admits he doesn't care what happened to Jey, although he's grateful to have one less opponent to face in Elimination Chamber. "Better him than me. One man down. Four left. You're making it very easy for me," he says. Je'Von Evans confronts Trick for his attitude after what just happened to a fellow locker room member. Trick advises him to mind his own business. Aldis intervenes to stop the argument, asking them not to cause any more trouble than they already have. Suddenly, a voice interrupts from inside the venue...
"Four letters. One word. Drew," says Drew McIntyre as he descends the stairs from the stands. The Scotsman is aware that everyone will blame him for what happened. "I know how this works. I tell the truth all the time, but Drew McIntyre is guilty until proven innocent," he states. Drew steps into the ring, lamenting his current situation on the brand, as he has to pay for a private box every week to be present on the show. That's why he considers himself a foreign champion in his own brand. However, being a champion has its privileges: he can do whatever he wants whenever he wants.
Nick Aldis interrupts the Scotsman from the entrance ramp. Accompanied by several security members, the General Manager asks Drew to head to his office. "Not just because I say so, but because there are like 20 guys backstage right now who want to tear you apart, and I'm about to tell them, 'go ahead,'" says Nick. Drew reminds him that right now six men are coming for his title... well, five.
Cody Rhodes makes his entrance!
Drew leaves the ring to avoid meeting "The American Nightmare". Furious, he heads towards the ring. "Enough is enough! Drew, let's fight here and now!", he exclaims. McIntyre pretends to accept, but soon reveals his true intentions. The Scotsman points out that he won't, as it doesn't benefit him in any way, especially now that he's the champion. McIntyre assures that, unlike Cody, he's not a troublemaker. "I told Nick I'd leave, and that's what I'll do," he says. "You're disconnected from reality! Your whole reign as champion you've spent running away like a bitch!", Rhodes yells. "Holy sh*t!", the crowd chants as a surprised Drew glares at Rhodes. " So there are no rematches? Tomorrow night, after Elimination Chamber, I'll have the right to...", says Rhodes before being interrupted.
Randy Orton bursts onto the scene!
Randy claims to feel bad about what happened to Jey Uso, but now his only concern is winning Elimination Chamber to earn his spot at WrestleMania, where he'll kick Drew McIntyre's ass to win his fifteenth world championship. Orton steps into the ring. "Cody, regarding us, I'm concerned that when we get to the Chamber...", says "The Viper".
Trick Williams interrupts the segment!
Trick is greeted with chants of Whoop that Trick! Williams regrets interrupting, but now he's the talk of the town in this business. So much so that Bruno Mars asked him to sign his new music album today. Regarding Elimination Chamber, and since they are at the KFC Center, maybe he can add some flavor with his...
Je'Von Evans interrupts Trick. Je'Von hits his former NXT teammate on the head to address the ring. Evans points out that he hasn't stopped hearing craziness, so he wants to make a statement for tomorrow's PLE, promising to win within the Elimination Chamber. This will lead him directly to WrestleMania, where he will become the youngest world champion in history, breaking Orton's record.
LA Knight interrupts the segment!
"The Megastar" steps into the ring to indicate that he only sees empty promises, because the truth is that, once Elimination Chamber is over, he will be the winner and the man who will face McIntyre at WrestleMania, with everyone saying... "Whoop that Trick!", exclaims Williams. "Whoop that Trick!", the fans chant. "Did you just say Whoop that Trick?", LA Knight asks. "YEAH," Williams replies. "Alright," says "The Megastar" before throwing a right hook. Both men start a fight that moves backstage. Evans, Orton, and Rhodes just watch. Suddenly, Randy surprises Je'Von with an RKO out of nowhere! Orton stands up to face Cody. Randy steps out of the ring, with Rhodes turning his back. Both men exchange silent looks as we reach the end of this chaotic first segment.
Cathy Kelley interviews Tiffany Stratton backstage. Tiffany regrets what happened to Jey Uso, but that doesn't change her mindset for Elimination Chamber. Stratton assures that all her opponents in the Elimination Chamber know that she is the one to beat. The Kabuki Warriors interrupt the interview. Asuka states that Tiffy Time is over because "no one is ready for Asuka." "Are you ready to prove that Tiffy Time is over? Tonight?", Stratton asks. "Always," Asuka replies before leaving. Kairi Sane confronts Stratton. The dress of Stratton catches the attention of "The Pirate Princess". She touches the edges of the dress. " Are you a jellyfish?", she asks puzzled. "¡KAIRIIIIIII!", "The Empress of Tomorrow" shouts, startling her companion. She quickly responds to her call. This leads us to the end of this segment.
We see the arrival at the venue of some of tonight's protagonists: RHIYO, The Irresistible Forces, Oba Femi, and The Miz.
Solo Sikoa vs. Uncle Howdy
Uncle Howdy and Solo observe each other carefully. Sikoa points directly at Bray Wyatt's lantern (placed on a stand next to the commentators' table) before testing his strength against Uncle Howdy. The latter corners the Samoan in one of the corners. Sikoa pushes him before preparing to execute a Samoan Skipe, but his opponent intimidates him with his brother's classic pose in the corner. Sikoa traps Uncle Howdy in a headlock. Wyatt's leader frees himself to knock down the Samoan with a flying elbow.
Solo escapes to ringside to avoid his opponent applying a Sister Abigail. Uncle Howdy doesn't take long to go after him, but his rival surprises him. Sikoa tries to execute a Samoan Skipe, but his opponent dodges it, causing the Samoan's finger to hit the post. Uncle Howdy continues to punish his opponent against the post before throwing him over the audience barrier. Uncle Howdy looks at his brother's lantern before going after Solo, whom he brings back into the ring.
Solo surprises Uncle Howdy with a punch before throwing him against one of the corners. Uncle Howdy falls to ringside. Solo goes after him to throw him against the audience barrier. Sikoa continues to punish his opponent, both outside and inside the ring. Solo applies a painful submission hold to Uncle Howdy to damage his neck. Uncle Howdy fights desperately to free himself, but the Samoan doesn't allow it.
Uncle Howdy escapes to launch a counterattack, but Sikoa surprises him with a samoan drop out of nowhere. Solo catches Uncle Howdy in a submission hold. Howdy attacks his opponent's right hand directly to free himself. The Samoan responds with a headbutt. Uncle Howdy counterattacks, but once again is stopped by his rival, this time with a Spinning Solo. Sikoa finishes off his opponent with a Uso Splash. 1..2..NO. "Come on, Howdy!", the fans chant.
Sikoa prepares to execute a Samoan Spike, but soon changes his mind to go for a Sister Abigail. Uncle Howdy counters it into a Mandible Claw. Solo breaks free with an improvised Samoan Spike. Uncle Howdy falls near one of the turnbuckles, where he is struck by two consecutive Running Hip Attacks. Sikoa looks for the third, but Uncle Howdy stops him mid-charge to execute the Sister Abigail. 1..2..3.
Winner: Uncle Howdy
Uncle Howdy heads to ringside to retrieve his brother’s lantern, but is soon attacked by MFT, who make off with the prized object. The Wyatt Sicks appear on the scene to drive the heels away and check on their leader.
Nick Aldis and several security members escort Drew McIntyre to the exit. Aldis reminds the Scotsman that his WrestleMania opponent will be determined tomorrow, so he asks him to stay home and avoid trouble. "I'm not trying to make your life even more complicated. We've known each other for a long time. Look at us. UK guys. General Manager. WWE Champion. You and I need to be on the same page", says Drew before leaving under security escort. On his way out, he crosses paths with The Vision (Paul Heyman, Logan Paul and Austin Theory). The Scotsman briefly places his hand on Paul’s stomach, who looks at him in surprise.
The Vision approach Nick Aldis. Heyman knows what happened tonight. That’s why he wants to make his job easier by proposing Logan Paul as Jey Uso’s replacement in Elimination Chamber. "The Maverick" promises he will win the match, as long as the General Manager agrees to "The Oracle’s" request. However, Aldis believes none of this is a coincidence. Jey is attacked and shortly afterward Heyman shows up with this proposal? Too convenient for The Vision. Offended by the insinuation, Austin confronts Aldis. Heyman calms his teammates. "Mr. Aldis, we’re trying to help you in a difficult situation. Logan Paul in Elimination Chamber checks every box", says "The Oracle." Aldis promises he will consider it, but before making a decision he needs to make a few calls. With that, the General Manager walks away. "You’re going to win Elimination Chamber, right?" Heyman asks Logan. "Of course. I’m Logan Paul", replies "The Maverick" before leaving. Heyman advises Theory to control his temper before they both follow their partner.
We see a promotional video starring RHIYO.
Cathy Kelley interviews Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY backstage. Rhea assures she has no problem defending the Women’s Tag Team Championships 24 hours before her Elimination Chamber match, making it clear she can handle both matters. A confident SKY promises her partner will get the victory tomorrow. After that, she will head to WrestleMania to become the new WWE Women’s Champion. Rhea is certain of it, just as she knows they will retain the tag titles tonight because they support each other. Jade Cargill interrupts the interview. "The Storm" reminds Rhea that tomorrow she won’t have any help inside the Elimination Chamber. "I hope you don’t get hurt tonight for tomorrow", says the champion before walking away. And so this segment comes to an end.
Jacob Fatu approaches Nick Aldis backstage. The General Manager asks the Samoan about Jey Uso’s condition. Fatu says it doesn’t matter how he is, but how he was attacked. "The Samoan Werewolf" claims all signs point to Drew McIntyre. He not only knocked his teeth out, but also cost him his qualifying match last week, just as tonight he cost Jey his spot in Elimination Chamber. Drew has become a problem for both him and Aldis, so he proposes being added to the Elimination Chamber match as Jey’s replacement. That way, once he wins the match, he can face McIntyre at WrestleMania and the problem will be solved. Aldis promises to consider his proposal, but first he needs to make more calls. "I’ll take that," says Jacob before walking away. Aldis takes out his smartphone as the segment comes to an end.
Tiffany Stratton makes her entrance before a commercial break.
Alba Fyre pushes a wheelchair with Chelsea Green seated on it. Both head to the commentary table to watch the next match. Meanwhile, we see Jelly Roll seated in the front row.
The Kabuki Warriors make their entrance. Microphone in hand, Asuka addresses Tiffany Stratton, making it clear she is very smart. That’s why she won’t compete tonight, so she can be rested for tomorrow. With that said, she introduces Kairi Sane as Tiffany’s opponent for tonight.
Tiffany Stratton vs. Kairi Sane (with Asuka)
Sane enters the ring to attack Stratton. Tiffany quickly turns the situation around, showcasing her agility to dodge the Japanese star’s attacks. Tiffany trips Sane into the ropes before executing a rope hip attack. Kairi ends up at ringside, where she is checked on by Asuka. Stratton launches herself with a diving crossbody onto "The Pirate Princess".
Asuka distracts Tiffany, allowing Sane to surprise her with a back fist. Kairi throws her rival into one of the ring posts to take control of the match. Stratton tries to respond, but the Japanese star stops her with a hurricanrana. Kairi attacks Stratton in one of the corners before applying a Tarantula. Sane punishes Stratton with the help of the ropes, forcing the referee to intervene. Asuka takes advantage to illegally strike Stratton.

Winner: Tiffany Stratton
Alba helps a hurt Chelsea on the floor while Asuka scolds Kairi for her loss. Meanwhile, Tiffany celebrates her victory in the ring.
Nick Aldis approaches The Vision backstage. The General Manager informs them that, after speaking with Adam Priest, he has decided Logan Paul will have an opportunity to compete in Elimination Chamber… but only if he can defeat Jacob Fatu tonight. Paul Heyman disagrees with this decision. However, Logan believes he is capable of doing it. "Nick, I sold the most valuable trading card in the world. I married the most beautiful supermodel in the world. I can beat the most dangerous werewolf in WWE. I’m Logan Paul, the winner of this year’s Elimination Chamber", says a confident "The Maverick." "Good luck," says a smiling Aldis before bidding farewell to his special guests. They leave, bringing the segment to an end.
Oba Femi vs. The Miz
The Miz leaves the ring as soon as the bell rings. The Miz grabs a microphone, pointing out that they don’t have to fight. The Miz returns to the ring, but Oba greets him by stomping on his hand. Femi snatches the microphone away, advising him to find another one. The Miz grabs another mic to point out that nobody wants to see this match. Besides, they’ve reached this situation because of a simple misunderstanding. The Miz claims he is filling the role John Cena once had as locker room leader, so Oba can take this as the perfect moment to learn. The Miz recalls that 20 years ago he was promoted to the main roster, where he arrived overly confident. Even so, he didn’t make the mistake of going against locker room leaders like The Undertaker or Triple H, and he doesn’t want Oba to make that mistake either. The Miz wants to be a leader. That’s why he proposes to the Nigerian that he become his “Undertaker,” his guide in WWE.
"You want to be my Undertaker? You don’t look like him at all to me, but I do see you as a dead man", he says. The Miz then suggests following his own method, which consists of three elements: mastery, inspiration and focus. That way, Oba can have as a mentor a man who has main-evented WrestleMania. The Miz assures him he can help him inside and outside the ring, since he has countless connections. That way, fans will chant his name wherever he goes. "Oooba, Ooooba!" the crowd chants. "It’s clear I don’t need you for them to chant my name. But let me indulge you for a second. What do you think, Louisville? Do I join forces with The Miz and become The Awesome Rulers?" asks the Nigerian. The fans boo the proposal. "Mike, you will die tonight", says "The Ruler."
The Miz insists this could be a perfect moment to learn a lesson. So he’ll act like the adult in this conversation and leave. Oba stops him, only to receive a punch. Femi responds with a clothesline. Femi continues striking The Miz. He manages to dodge an attack in one of the corners. The Miz looks for height to launch himself at the Nigerian, but the latter stops him with a chop. The Miz tries to surprise him with a Skull Crushing Finale. Femi blocks it and tosses him into the air. A Fall From Grace ends the match. 1..2..3.
Winner: Oba Femi
Carmelo Hayes runs into Ilja Dragunov backstage. Melo is surprised to see him dressed in street clothes, as he expected to defend the United States Championship against him. Dragunov points out that his recent losses have led him to think that maybe he doesn’t deserve a title opportunity. That’s why he asks Hayes to go out there and show everyone why he is “HIM.” And maybe, when the right time comes, they can meet again in the ring. Carmelo doesn’t think the Russian is doing the right thing, since all he needs to do is compete to realize how good he is. "Nothing lasts forever, and if you don’t take this opportunity, someone else will", says Hayes. He then heads to the ring as the segment comes to an end.

We head backstage, where part of the SmackDown men’s roster wonders what’s inside the mysterious box. R-Truth tells them they’ll have to wait until tomorrow when it is finally opened during Elimination Chamber. R-Truth explains to his colleagues how they can watch the PLE on the ESPN app. At that moment, Candice LeRae steps in. We see the wrestler pushing a production crate with a dejected Johnny Gargano lying face down on top of it. Those present can’t help but burst out laughing. LeRae leaves with her husband. Kit Wilson appears on the scene to scold his colleagues for their attitude. "Wake up! All of you need to wake up, because that weakness (referring to Gargano) is strength, not weakness. He’s trying, which is more than I can say about you, because every single one of you is TOXIC", he exclaims. His colleagues burst into laughter again. And so this segment comes to an end.

Winner: Jordynne Grace
Cathy Kelley interviews Raquel Rodriguez backstage. The Texan is confident in The Judgment Day’s success, with the possibility that Liv Morgan and herself could leave WrestleMania with the company’s top championships around their waists. Jade Cargill appears to advise her to focus on herself. "I can assure you Liv doesn’t care about you. She made a good choice picking Stephanie, but she sent you to the slaughter, because if you’re the one chosen tomorrow in the Chamber, I’m going to humiliate you at WrestleMania", says "The Storm." "See you very soon, champ," a smiling Raquel says in Spanish before walking away.
B-Fab and Michin appear to mock Cargill and her peculiar way of “making friends.” Michin points out that everyone wants the championship Jade is carrying, including herself. However, maybe Cargill won’t make it to WrestleMania. "If you’re going to do something, do it," a defiant Jade says. Michin steps forward, but B-Fab stops her. "You know what? You’ll get your chance," she says. Michin follows her friend’s advice. Cargill walks away to end the segment.
We see a recap video of the tribute AJ Styles received on the latest episode of WWE Raw.
Cody Rhodes approaches Jacob Fatu backstage. "You might find it funny, but for what it’s worth, I hope you’re in there (Elimination Chamber)," says "The American Nightmare" before walking away. Cody runs into Sami Zayn, who extends his hand. Rhodes shakes it and continues on his way. Sami then approaches Jacob to ask about Jey Uso. Fatu admits that "Main Event" isn’t doing very well. Zayn can assure him he didn’t do it, but he can’t say the same about Fatu. Surprised, Jacob asks the Canadian to explain himself. Sami suggests that Jacob might have attacked Jey to take his spot in Elimination Chamber. And he would understand it, because ever since he returned he’s only been thinking about one thing: getting his hands on Drew McIntyre. Jacob advises him to choose his next words carefully. "Or what? I’ll end up in the hospital like Jey?" a defiant Zayn asks. He understands how he feels, but he also wants to get his hands on McIntyre. Fatu, however, reminds him that the Scotsman has attacked everyone… except Sami, so maybe they should be suspicious of the Canadian. Zayn apologizes for his words, saying he hasn’t been himself lately. That said, he hopes "The Samoan Werewolf" wins tonight. Jacob walks away. Furious, Sami flips a table over. James informs Alexa that her partner isn’t okay, and that’s something she should know. Bliss reminds them that Giulia yelled at her last week. Jade Cargill appears on the scene. “The Storm” simply wants to wish James and Bliss good luck in their match tomorrow, as she has done with the rest of the participants. With that, she walks away.
MFT approach Nick Aldis backstage. Solo Sikoa demands that the General Manager take action regarding The Wyatt Sicks. Aldis doesn’t understand what he means, because from what he saw, Uncle Howdy defeated him clean and MFT attacked him after the match. Therefore, next week there will be a match to determine the next challengers. Sikoa agrees, promising they’ll handle whoever earns that opportunity. With that, Solo and his men leave, ending the segment.
