WWE would have lost today one of its most veteran figures behind the scenes. According to PWInsider, Road Dogg Brian James has left the company, a decision he reportedly made by stepping down from his position within the creative team.

The Hall of Fame member was currently working on the SmackDown team, where he served as one of the main voices in the creative process. In recent years, he had become a key player in the weekly direction of the blue brand.

According to Bodyslam.net, his departure is part of a series of internal adjustments within WWE's writing team. Sources cited by the outlet indicate that the company is making changes to its creative structure, and Brian "Road Dogg" James' departure is part of that movement.

WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg Brian James has left World Wrestling Entertainment today, as PWInsider.com has learned. It is rumored that he made the decision to leave his position in the company's creative team, where he had been working on the Smackdown brand.

The news coincides with another significant move in the company's internal structure. Alexandra Williams recently announced that she has been promoted to Vice President and Lead Writer of Monday Night RAW, taking on the oversight of the creative development of WWE's flagship program.

Road Dogg returned to WWE in 2014 and, since then, has held multiple roles as a producer and creative executive. His most recent period placed him at the center of SmackDown's planning, especially during a phase marked by format adjustments and strategic changes under the direction of Paul "Triple H" Levesque.

It is worth noting that in the last season of WWE Unreal, Road Dogg was one of the protagonists of an episode discussing R-Truth's departure, a move that greatly affected the creative and even led him to raise his voice at the Performance Center offices in the presence of Triple H.
