Blake Monroe, formerly known as Mariah May, landed in WWE last summer after a successful stint in All Elite Wrestling. Monroe even held the promotion's top women's championship and was involved in one of the most prominent rivalries in the company's history alongside Toni Storm.

However, despite her privileged position in AEW, Blake decided to make the leap to WWE, a company she had always desired to work for. In this regard, the British wrestler reflected on her first nine months in the company and her upcoming match at NXT Vengeance Day during a recent appearance on The Wrestling Classic.

"Well, as you can see, it's challenging me in many ways, but I came to WWE for the challenge. I came because I felt like I had given absolutely everything in my career. I feel like, in a way, I completed it and left with a full heart. With WWE, the women's division is very deep. We have three brands, we have many championships. We have many women from different backgrounds," she said.

"Right now, I'm in NXT. There are influencers, there are Olympic gold medalists emerging, so you have a very broad spectrum and everyone brings something different," she continued. "And the only thing I'll say about Jaida (Parker) is that she has an attitude I had never seen before. She has a charisma and an energy that I feel in that ring; since I arrived at NXT, it's when I've felt it the most. The audience supports her, and everything she says, she truly believes, and I respect that. So, it's very exciting."

"It's definitely a challenge, but it's making me elevate different aspects of my game. I come from independent wrestling, I come from Japan, I've traveled all over the world. I wasn't a Division 1 college athlete, I didn't train that way, so there are things I can learn from them. There's also a lot they can learn from me, and I think mixing all that is why NXT is such a chaotic and exciting show every Tuesday," she concluded.

Blake Monroe will face Jaida Parker in a Street Fight at NXT Vengeance Day. The event will take place this upcoming Saturday at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. This will be the last NXT event before Stand & Deliver, a show that "The Glamour" won't want to miss.
