Additionally, Sol Ruca will face Lainey Reid in a one-on-one match one week before their upcoming title match. Thea Hail and Wren Sinclair will also compete for a shot at gold in the final of the WWE Women's Speed Tournament. As always, we invite you to comment on the article to give your opinion on what happened on the show.
WWE NXT begins on Netflix!
The show starts with a video recap of NXT Vengeance Day.
Tatum Paxley opens tonight's show. The new NXT North American Champion is greeted with a great ovation. "Tatum, Tatum!" chant the fans. "I'm your new NXT North American Champion!" exclaims Paxley. "You deserve it!" respond the fans. Tatum acknowledges that, for most of the time, she wasn't doing things the right way. She kept desperately seeking the friendship of others, only to continue feeling lonely. While playing with her dolls, she wondered if everything was worth it or if, on the contrary, she should be "less Tatum." But at Vengeance Day, everything became clear to her. "I didn't win this championship thanks to The Culling. I didn't win it because I was lucky. I won it thanks to all of you. Every time I felt alone in this world, each of you reminded me that I must keep going. And now I'm here, standing in this ring with this title around my waist and something I've been looking for all my life: confidence that I belong in this place," she says. "I'll tell you the truth: I won the NXT Women's Championship for The Culling, for Izzi Dame, but I won this North American Championship for us. And now I realize something I had never realized before: that Tatum Paxley has never been and never will be..."
Izzi Dame interrupts the promo!
Dame "congratulates" Paxley on her victory last weekend, pointing out that beating her must have been the best night of her life. However, before Tatum continues showing this new version to the fans, Izzi wants to remind everyone how she used to be. Izzi shows a video summary of Paxley's early years in NXT and the different stages she went through, including her friendship and subsequent betrayal of Ivy Nile in Diamond Mine. Izzi points out that Tatum is still the same woman who arrived in NXT: a rejected outcast trying to convince others otherwise. "You can be here carrying that title and soaking up this false love from all these fake fans, but we both know what this is: it's just another mask, Tatum," Dame says. However, it no longer matters, because sooner or later, Paxley won't be able to continue hiding the woman behind all those masks. "And when she appears, everyone will see what I already know: that champion or not, she will always be the girl who desperately tries to fit in. I hope you enjoyed these two days with my borrowed title, because I want my Women's North American Championship back right now," she adds. Paxley turns to leave the ring, only to meet Niko Vance and Shawn Spears on the apron. Tatum turns back, only to receive a big boot from Izzi. She finishes her off with a powerbomb before snatching the championship. The entire Culling pose over Tatum to end the segment.
Ricky Saints talks with Ethan Page in the men's locker room. Ricky is still trying to understand what happened at Vengeance Day when he asked "All Ego" to hand him the NXT Championship. Ethan is aware of it. He knew he was wrong the moment he threw the title. Saints reminds him that now neither of them has a championship. However, they can't dwell on the past. They must look to the future, and for that, they will first have to defeat Joe Hendry and Myles Borne, because once they defeat them, they will be back in the title picture. Saints insists that they will be two-time champions again. Page smiles slightly as he imagines it. And so we come to the end of this brief segment

Behind them, Shiloh Hill covered in grease. Hill meets Robert Stone, who asks for explanations. Both enter the building to talk. "I didn't know which car belonged to The Culling, so I wrecked them all. I don't think they can go anywhere," says Shiloh before handing him the wrench. Hill leaves. Stone comes out. The members of The Culling see the Interim General Manager with the wrench in his hands and start yelling at him, assuming he is responsible for all this chaos.
Tony D'Angelo makes his entrance into the ring. D'Angelo reminds the fans that, after his return to NXT, he declared that he had two goals. One of them was to get revenge on DarkState, something he finally accomplished at Vengeance Day by defeating Dion Lennox in a brutal match. And that leads him to the second reason for his return. One that he understood during the time he spent away from NXT. Because in those days, he was able to review his career to realize that there is something he has never achieved in the brand: winning the NXT Championship. D'Angelo sends a direct message to Joe Hendry. "Joe, if I have to break your face, that's what I'll do. And I'd like to say this is just business, but it's personal for me. Joe, this is your only warning. Get ready for my actions, because I won't be denied. Tony D'Angelo is going to be the next NXT Champion," says Tony to end his promo. D'Angelo drops the microphone on the canvas before heading backstage.
Lola Vice approaches Sol Ruca backstage. Sol congratulates Vice on her victory at Vengeance Day. Lola acknowledges that it felt good to knock out Kelani Jordan. Vice knows that Sol has a lot to deal with, starting tonight, but she is sure that she will be the next NXT Women's Champion. Sinclair leads Myles and Kendal to a refrigerator. Then, she says Joe Hendry's name. Wren opens the fridge, but the Scotsman is not inside, just a tempting cake. Hendry approaches them to ask what they are looking for. Wren thought she would find him inside the fridge. "I've been there. I've done that," replies the Scotsman. Myles asks him where he was. Joe replies that he had matters to attend to, but he's here now, ready for his match. Myles points out that it's time to plan the fight. After that, he wishes Sinclair luck in the WWE Speed Tournament final. Wren assures him that she is more than prepared. "Kendal, are you ready?" she asks her partner. The camera focuses on Grey, who is seen enjoying the cake with gusto. "What? I don't have a match tonight," says Kendal as she continues to stuff her face. Wren tells her it's time to leave. Grey follows her, wishing luck to Hendry and Borne with her mouth full. And so we come to the end of this fun segment.

Fatal Influence remain on the entrance ramp as they exchange glances with Sol. Further up, at the top of the ramp, stands Zaria, who watches her two upcoming rivals for the NXT Women’s Championship.
Robert Stone meets with Sean Legacy, Eli Knight and Elio LeFleur in his office. LeFleur wants to defend the WWE Speed Championship, and he wants to do it against Knight or Legacy. Stone understands, but both men ended in a draw tonight. In addition, the way to determine a challenger is through tournaments. LeFleur understands, but tournaments take too long, and he wants to defend his title now. Knight and Legacy remind the Interim General Manager that they both defeated Jasper Troy. Stone is aware of that and still thinks a tournament is the best idea, but he also has another one planned. At that moment, The Vanity Project (Jackson Drake, Ricky Smokes and Brad Baylor) appear, boasting that they have defeated the entire NXT tag team division and expecting Stone to have something good prepared for them at Stand & Deliver. Drake suggests that his partners leave the office confident that the Interim General Manager will not disappoint them. Stone resumes his conversation with Legacy, Knight and LeFleur as the segment comes to an end.
Blake Howard interviews Blake Monroe backstage. “The Glamour” is glad that her rivalry with Jaida Parker is over, although she regrets that it brought out a horrible version of herself. “When you play with Hell, you always get burned,” she says. After all, I am the Conversation, the Controversy,” she says before being interrupted by Tatum Paxley. She asks the Blakes if they have seen Izzi Dame. None of them knows where she is, so Tatum decides to continue her search. Monroe keeps her eyes on the North American Championship that Paxley carries on her shoulder. “You need to do something about your name, because that, just like other things around here, belongs to me,” says “The Glamour” to the interviewer before walking away.

Sinclair breaks free to trap Hail in a Cattle Mutilation. The pain Thea experiences is so intense that she has no choice but to tap out.
Winner by submission: Wren Sinclair (1:55)
Robert Stone meets with the NXT men’s tag team division in his office. Stone informs them that all of them will participate in a tournament, with the winners earning an opportunity at the NXT Tag Team Championships at Stand & Deliver. An idea that came directly from the champions. They try to explain that he misunderstood their words, but Stone warns them that this will be the only way they can be part of the card for NXT’s biggest event of the year. Osiris Griffin and Saquon Shugars make it clear they will not rest until they regain what belongs to them. OTM make their entrance to confront the members of DarkState. Within moments, both teams start a brawl that spreads to the rest of those present. Several security members appear to try to stop the fight. This brings the segment to an end.
Blake Howard interviews Fatal Influence backstage. Jacy Jayne is fully aware that next week she must defeat Sol Ruca and Zaria once again, but she will do whatever is necessary to arrive at Stand & Deliver as champion. Fallon Henley, for her part, is not worried about Wren Sinclair, pointing out that she only has to beat her in under five minutes. WrenQCC (Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey) appear on the scene. Wren reminds Fallon that she defeated her two opponents in the tournament in under three minutes, so she has the confidence to do it again. Kendal, meanwhile, speaks directly to Jacy to promise that if she manages to overcome Sol and Zaria, she will be waiting for her at Stand & Deliver to take the NXT Women’s Championship. Lainey Reid believes they have had enough and suggests her partners leave the area.

Stone notes that there is still one more announcement, but he prefers Vic Joseph to make it.
Joseph speaks from the commentary table. Joseph recalls that Booker T was supposed to be his partner for three months, but it has already been three years. That is why he feels honored to inform him that next week, the NXT show taking place in Houston, Texas, the legend’s hometown, will be dedicated to him. “All day. You knew all day and didn’t tell me anything,” says Booker T. Both men shake hands before moving on to the night’s main event.
