NXT is gearing up for the most important show of its calendar, Stand & Deliver, which this year will not be part of WrestleMania weekend. However, this won't be the only novelty, as Shawn Michaels has announced through his social media that the show will be broadcast internationally through WWE's official YouTube channel.
"I guess I better figure out how to get on YouTube... because Stand And Deliver will be broadcast LIVE worldwide through the WWE YouTube channel on Saturday, April 4 at 7 p.m./4 p.m.," wrote the NXT Director.
Mike Johnson from PWInsider revealed a few days ago that WWE NXT programming on Peacock, which held the rights to the brand's events, will come to an end next week unless a new agreement is reached. Therefore, this afternoon's announcement would indicate that, for the time being, it is not expected that to happen.
This is not the first time WWE has used its YouTube channel to broadcast its shows. In fact, weekly episodes of AAA, as well as their special events, can be watched live internationally through the popular video platform. Similarly, Raw, SmackDown, and NXT shows were also broadcast on YouTube in the weeks leading up to the Netflix era.
In the case of Spain, like many countries outside North America, it is expected that Stand & Deliver will be broadcast through Netflix, a platform that holds the broadcasting rights for all WWE shows in countries where the company owned by Endeavor does not have TV rights. It is unknown whether this announcement will provide fans with two options to watch the event live or if, on the contrary, it will be restricted in countries where Netflix is the current TV home of NXT.
