In just over a month, a new edition of WrestleMania, the most prominent event of WWE and the biggest showcase of professional wrestling, will take place. And, for the third consecutive year, Cody Rhodes will be in one of the main events of the Show of Shows competing for the company's Undisputed Championship.

However, the construction of the card for the grand event has been harshly criticized by fans, who believe that the company is not following a pre-established plan, in addition to making controversial creative decisions, such as Rhodes' own coronation at the expense of Drew McIntyre. Still, "The American Nightmare" believes that this year's edition could be one of the best in history, at least in terms of in-ring action.

“I said something that I don't love how it came out. I said: 'we're sitting on a SleeperMania'. What I meant is that, when it comes to a ten-year WrestleMania, like WrestleMania 40, you feel that sense of destiny. There's something special about that ten-year moment," he said in an appearance on Complex Graps The Podcast.

"This year, the matches... we have our main event with CM Punk and Roman Reigns. We also just confirmed that Randy Orton and I will be the other main event. The matches that are coming together, Stephanie and Liv, what Jacob (Fatu) will clearly do. Sami (Zayn). I think we are in front of a WrestleMania that, from bell to bell, will be one of the best there has been. Wrestling from bell to bell. Good, the kind I grew up with, pure wrestling, from bell to bell," he stated.

"For the people who come for all the greatness and spectacle that is WrestleMania, that will also be there," he continued. "I feel like I saw some names on a list of potential guests that, for me personally, are really exciting for a WrestleMania."

"From bell to bell, I think they are going to have one of the best WrestleManias, if not the best WrestleMania of all time. I would watch this WrestleMania for the potential of Je'Von, Oba, Kit Wilson, guys and girls who, hopefully, will be sitting here in ten years talking about headlining WrestleMania," he concluded.

So far, WWE has confirmed four matches for the grand event, which coincide with the defense of the four top male and female championships. Meanwhile, the company continues to offer small hints about the possible matches that will be added to the card in the coming weeks.
