Laredo Kid will defend his World Cruiserweight Championship at Rey de Reyes

Lucha Libre AAA has added a new title match to Rey de Reyes just a few hours before the highly anticipated event. Laredo Kid will defend the Cruiserweight World Championship against Dragon Lee, TJP, and Jack Cartwheel in a four-way match that will be part of the special programming that will be broadcast for three consecutive weeks on FOX Latin America (except Brazil).

Laredo Kid has held the championship since December 2024 and will face one of his most challenging defenses to date, with three very different styles looking to dethrone him in one of AAA's most important stages of the calendar.

The event will also feature the presence of the current WWE Intercontinental Champion and former Rey de Reyes winner, Penta, who will open the show and will be in charge of presenting the ceremonial sword to the tournament winner.
