Today we will once again enjoy a new live follow-up of WWE SmackDown, which this time will be broadcast live from the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The show will feature several matches and segments of interest, including the contract signing for the match between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42.
In addition, The Irresistible Forces will defend the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, and Jelly Roll will be the special guest on a new edition of "Miz TV". As always, we invite you to comment on the note to give your opinion on what happens on this week's blue brand show.
WWE SmackDown starts on Netflix!
We see a video recap of last week's main event, which ended with Cody Rhodes being crowned the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
We see the arrival of some of tonight's protagonists: Cody Rhodes, Jelly Roll, and Randy Orton.
Nick Aldis meticulously reviews the WrestleMania 42 contract that will be signed tonight when someone calls him from ringside. It's Drew McIntyre, who makes his entrance through the stands to go to the commentary table. The Scotsman climbs onto the table to remind everyone that last week he was robbed of the championship. And all because of Aldis, who had to do everything possible to ensure that Cody Rhodes regained the gold before WrestleMania. That said, he demands that the General Manager come out to correct this mistake.
Nick appears on the entrance ramp, asking the Scotsman what mistake needs to be corrected, because he only sees a man playing the victim when he should be blaming himself for what happened. McIntyre accuses Nick of being just a pawn of the company. Aldis interrupts him, making it clear that he will not allow him to disrespect him. Nick reminds Drew that he intervened in the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber to prevent Rhodes from winning. "Quite a luxury for a guy who claims they won't stop screwing him over. So listen to me. You did everything you could to prevent Cody from having a fair chance, and now I understand why," he says. Furious, Drew gets into the ring to confront Aldis, making it clear that he will have to fix this problem. Otherwise...
¡Jacob Fatu bursts onto the scene!
"The Samoan Werewolf" enters the ring to observe Drew. After a few moments, Fatu asks him what needs to be fixed, since, for starters, the Scotsman was champion thanks to him. That's why last week he intervened in his match against Rhodes, to correct that mistake. Jacob advises him to stop blaming everyone, because the real culprit is right in front of him. That said, Fatu wonders what McIntyre will do about it. Drew exchanges glances with "The Samoan Werewolf". "Do you want to know what I'm going to do about it? You, Nick, Cody, these people. I'm done with all of you," answers the Scotsman before heading towards Aldis. "I'm leaving", he says to the General Manager before leaving through the stands.
We see the arrival of other protagonists of tonight: R-Truth, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, The Irresistible Forces, and The Miz.
Solo Sikoa carries out a promo backstage with MFT. Sikoa boasts about last week's plan, executed to perfection, through which they have managed to prevent The Wyatt Sicks from being the challengers for their WWE Tag Team Championships. However, the job is not done yet. Tonight, he and Talla Tonga will take care of Uncle Howdy and Erick Rowan. Meanwhile, he will leave Bray Wyatt's lantern in the hands of Tama Tonga. "Tama, I need you to protect this with your life. Remember: without this, The Wyatts are nothing," says Solo before heading to the ring. His partners follow him... except for Tama, who is aware that someone is behind him. Tama turns to find Shinsuke Nakamura, who starts speaking to him in Japanese. "When are you going to decide to take ownership of your life?", Shinsuke asks. Tama listens attentively as the former Intercontinental champion speaks to him in his native language. Suddenly, Sikoa returns. "Stay away from my family before you get hurt," he says to Nakamura before leaving with Tama.
Jacob Fatu talks with Nick Aldis backstage. "The Samoan Werewolf" regrets that Drew McIntyre has resigned just when he was about to kick his... "Kick (whoop) what?", asks Trick Williams to interrupt the conversation. Trick advises Fatu to come up with his own catchphrase before addressing Aldis. Furious, Jacob yells at Williams, threatening to kick his butt. Nick tries to restore order. Fatu makes it clear that he won't let anyone else disrespect him before leaving. Trick ensures that Jacob doesn't know what it means to be disrespected. Not like him, remembering the attack suffered at the hands of Randy Orton last week. "Do your job, Nick!", exclaims Trick. Aldis reminds him that Randy already has plans for tonight, but he can put him in a match against Fatu. Williams doesn't agree with the idea. Nick reminds him that a man has resigned from his job tonight. If Williams doesn't want to follow in his footsteps, he will have to prepare to fight. "You're amazing, mate," says an annoyed Trick.

Sikoa decides to intervene to take care of Lumis and Gacy. Solo returns to the ring, where he prepares to apply a Samoan Skipe. At that moment, Nikki Cross takes the lantern, distracting Sikoa, who ends up succumbing to a Sister Abigail from Uncle Howdy. 1..2..3.
Winners: The Wyatt Sicks
Uncle Howdy poses with his brother's lantern when Tama Tonga attacks him from behind. Tama retrieves the lantern to retreat backstage with his partners. Nikki shouts furiously from the ropes while MFT taunt from the top of the entrance ramp.
R-Truth talks with Damian Priest backstage. R-Truth compares the members of MFT with The Judgment Day. "When we face those guys, you and I will become Tag Team Champions," says Damian. Los Garza (Angel and Berto) appear on the scene to ensure that they did all the work in last week's Gauntlet Match and that Priest and R-Truth just took advantage of it. Damian believes they are right: Los Garza did the hard work and they just swept the floor with the Mexicans. That's why he will talk to Nick Aldis to schedule a tag team match for tonight.
Kiana James and Giulia carry out a promo backstage. Giulia mocks Tiffany Stratton, making it clear that she doesn't deserve a shot at her United States Championship. In fact, she won't even be able to beat Kiana. She promises that tonight she will show that "Tiffy Time" is over.
Jade Cargill vs. Michin
Michin attacks Jade from behind when the first's theme music starts playing in the arena. The referee removes the WWE Women's Championship from the ring and asks Cargill if she wants to compete. "The Storm" nods. The official rings the bell and Michin launches herself at her opponent once again. Michin throws Cargill out of the ring with a hurricanrana.
Michin tries to launch herself at her rival, but she dodges, pretending to leave. Michin launches herself with a suicide dive to surprise her. Michin takes her back into the ring, only for the Women's Champion to surprise her with a big boot. Jade starts a phase of dominance. Michin dodges a charge from Cargill, who falls to ringside.
Michin kicks Jade with a Penalty Kick from the apron. After that, she launches herself at the champion, but she catches her in mid-air to respond with a Fallaway Slam. Jade takes Michin back into the ring to continue punishing her. Cargill immobilizes Michin in the ropes to hit her at will. Jade knocks down Michin with a back elbow. 1..2..NO.

Michin launches herself with an apron cannonball, but the champion moves aside just in time, causing the former to land on the ground. Jade executes a powerbomb over the public barrier before taking her rival back into the ring. Cargill licks Michin's face before applying a second powerbomb. "The Storm" finishes her off with the Jaded. 1..2..3.
Winner: Jade Cargill
Cathy Kelley is about to interview Cargill after the match. However, Jade snatches the microphone from her and orders her to leave the ring. “Wait a second. Did you see that? That’s what happens when these women start believing their own words. Now every woman in the backstage area knows what happens when they see me in those hallways: they go completely silent. But for some reason, the world tells me I should fear one woman: Rhea Ripley. And for some reason I keep thinking, what? Who? And who exactly am I supposed to be afraid of? I don’t see a challenger. I don’t see a threat. I’ve never been afraid of anything in my entire life, and I’m certainly not going to start today. So Rhea, I’m going to kick your ass at WrestleMania and show you why I’m always on top,” she says.
THIS IS MY BRUTALITY!
Rhea Ripley makes her entrance. “Mami” heads to the ring, where she invites Jade to hit her. However, “The Storm” chooses to leave instead. “You were out here talking nonstop, but now you’re running away from a fight with me? You’re not the embodiment of women’s empowerment. You’re not B. You’re not even A. But after WrestleMania, you’ll be my bitch,” promises the Australian. Cargill heads backstage while Rhea continues shouting at her from inside the ring.
Cody Rhodes approaches Nick Aldis to ask what happened with Drew McIntyre. The General Manager isn’t sure, but he doesn’t want Cody worrying about it. Instead, he prefers that he focus on tonight’s contract. Rhodes hands it over, pointing out that he has already read it and everything is correct. Aldis takes the document and leaves the area. Sami Zayn appears on the scene to congratulate Cody on last week’s victory, which will take him to the main event of WrestleMania once again. That said, he assures him that he’s betting on his victory at the grand event. Cody saw his conversation with Randy Orton last week, and he would swear that Sami told him the same thing. And that makes him think Sami is still looking for a way to get a title opportunity. Zayn is hurt that Rhodes would think that of him. That said, he claims that he admires Orton, but not Rhodes, because Cody is his friend. And friends are supposed to be on the same level. Cody may be the champion and may be headlining WrestleMania for the third consecutive year, but that doesn’t give him the right to look down on him. Rhodes assures him that he isn’t doing that. In fact, he has always felt inspired by Sami, so he doesn’t understand where this is coming from. “What is this all about? You don’t admire me, fine. Now I know. You made it clear. You don’t look up to me. Fine, you don’t have to. Just look right here,” says Cody as he taps his championship belt. After that, he leaves the area. Once again, Zayn takes out his frustration on several water bottles. “Damn it! Damn it!” he shouts. Aleister Black and Zelina approach Sami. “All this about chasing the world championship… have you ever thought that maybe it’s not what you’re looking for?” asks the Dutchman. “Stay very far away from me, you understand?” Sami says before leaving. “All that anger can’t be good for him,” Zelina says with a laugh.
Rhea Ripley approaches Michin and B-Fab in the arena’s medical room. Rhea places her hand on Michin’s shoulder to congratulate her on tonight’s match. Michin steps away from the Australian to congratulate her on her victory at Elimination Chamber. However, she wants to make it clear that if Jade Cargill hadn’t injured her, they would be having a very different conversation right now. B-Fab thanks Rhea for her concern, but her partner needs a little peace and quiet. With that said, both women leave, leaving Ripley behind.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss make their way to the ring, ready for their championship match, but...
The Bella Twins appear!
Brie feels great to be back on SmackDown in her hometown. Nikki addresses Flair and Bliss, not to wish them luck, but to remind them that they returned to WWE to win gold. “The Bellas are next in line for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships,” says Brie. Nikki points out that they’ll now take a seat to get a close look at the competition.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match

Jax catches her mid-air and throws her against the apron. Now Flair launches herself with a tope onto Jax. Charlotte gets back to her feet, only to be hit with a big boot from Lash. The champions stare down The Bella Twins.
Nia brings Alexa back into the ring to continue the punishment. Legend gets the tag. Lash delivers an elbow drop directly onto Alexa’s back. Legend continues punishing Bliss before tagging Jax back in. Jax crushes her opponent with the help of the ropes. Nia strikes Charlotte, provoking her to enter the ring. The referee stops her, allowing Lash to illegally strike Alexa.

Flair launches herself onto Legend with a diving crossbody before kicking Nia while shouting “bitch!” Flair keeps attacking Lash, taking her down with a handspring clothesline. Legend breaks the count.
Alexa surprises Lash with a tornado DDT. Meanwhile, Charlotte and Nia fight at ringside. Nia grabs Nikki to use her as a shield. As a result, Nikki takes the impact of a big boot from Flair. Jax strikes Brie before bringing Charlotte back into the ring. Alexa and Charlotte recover. Flair takes Nia down with a Natural Selection, allowing Alexa to prepare for Twisted Bliss. However, Brie storms into the ring to attack Nia.
No Contest
Brie and Alexa argue when Legend charges at both with a double clothesline. Charlotte attacks Lash, who soon receives help from Jax. Nikki now joins the fight, but The Irresistible Forces quickly take her down. Legend traps Nikki in a painful bear hug so Nia can finish her off with a diving leg drop. The champions pose in the ring to end the segment.
R-Truth is talking with Jelly Roll when Damian Priest appears. The Puerto Rican greets the singer before quickly taking R-Truth away from the area. Roll then runs into Randy Orton, whom he immediately greets. The singer congratulates him on his Elimination Chamber victory and on the fifteenth world championship he will win at WrestleMania. Orton, in turn, congratulates him on winning three Grammys, which might be some kind of record. “No, but it feels great,” says Jelly Roll. He reminds Randy that he’s the guest of The Miz on “Miz TV,” so he could use some advice. “If he starts talking too much, kick his ass,” Randy says before leaving.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss run into The Bella Twins backstage. The former accuse the veterans of costing them the titles. Nikki and Brie remind them that Nia Jax and Lash Legend attacked them. “Did you think we were just going to sit there and do nothing?” Nikki asks. “Besides, Nikki and I came back to win the tag team championships, and thanks to Aldis, we’re next,” adds Brie before leaving with her sister.
R-Truth and Damian Priest vs. Los Garza (Angel and Berto)
Angel and Berto attack Damian and R-Truth as soon as the bell rings. The Mexicans celebrate, but a furious Priest reappears behind them to launch a powerful attack. R-Truth gets the tag to continue the fight, but he soon falls into Los Garza’s trap. Berto and Angel hit him with a double kick inside and outside the ring.
R-Truth surprises Berto with a hurricanrana to begin a counterattack. However, Angel lifts the ropes to make him fall to ringside. Meanwhile, Berto surprises Damian with a Disaster Kick. As a result, the Puerto Rican also ends up at ringside. Angel and Berto climb to the top of opposite corners to launch simultaneous suicide dives onto R-Truth and Priest. Los Garza celebrate as we head into another commercial break.
We return to see Los Garza punishing R-Truth. Berto kicks Damian on his own corner before hitting R-Truth with a back senton. Angel continues attacking R-Truth. “Truth, You Can’t See Me!” Angel shouts. R-Truth escapes the Mexicans to tag Priest, who enters with momentum. The Puerto Rican takes on both opponents at the same time.
Damian delivers an Old School + diving crossbody to Berto before dropping him with a clothesline. 1...2...NO. Angel breaks the count. Angel prevents Priest from hitting a Razor’s Edge on his cousin. The Mexicans combine their offense on Damian. He stops Berto’s moonsault with his legs before delivering a Razor’s Edge on Angel. R-Truth gets the tag. R-Truth and Damian execute an Attitude Adjustment and a South of Heaven on Berto and Angel respectively before pinning them at the same time. 1..2..3.
Winners: Damian Priest and R-Truth
We head backstage, where Alex Shelley tries to cheer up a depressed Johnny Gargano. Shelley suggests to Candice LeRae that she should get Johnny back to basics. LeRae thinks it’s a good idea, so she takes her husband away from the area. Meanwhile, we see B-Fab talking with Jade Cargill in the background. Chris Sabin approaches Shelley to ask why he keeps wasting time with Gargano. Shelley reminds him that he has known Johnny for a long time. Chris points out that while Alex has been wasting time helping the man who cost them the WWE Tag Team Championships, he has been doing things for the team, like securing a match against Fraxiom for next week. Shelley hopes his partner proves that Motor City Machine Guns still matters to him.
Danhausen approaches The Miz backstage. Danhausen suggests that his mentor should wear one of his shirts when he goes out to host “Miz TV.” Although, of course, he probably has his own shirt. Don’t all superstars have their own shirts? The Miz replies that not every talent gets a shirt in their first week with the company. Danhausen has many ideas for “Miz TV,” but The Miz firmly rejects all of them. “Really? Really? REALLY? Do you remember what I said last week? YOU… ARE… CURSED!” exclaims Danhausen. The Miz looks away for just a second before responding, but Danhausen has already disappeared.
The Miz welcomes us to a new edition of “Miz TV,” though not without some technical problems when the microphone stops working. The Miz asks for another one to introduce tonight’s guest: Jelly Roll. The singer appears and heads to the ring. The Miz asks what brought him to the show. Roll says he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to greet his friend Cody Rhodes and his “brother” Randy Orton, who will sign the contract for their WrestleMania match tonight.
The Miz changes the subject, noting that he has seen Roll compete in the ring. That’s why he needs a mentor who can teach him the three fundamental values: mastery, inspiration, and focus. And there’s nobody better than him to do it. “All you have to say, Jelly Roll, is ‘yes,’” says The Miz. “No,” replies the singer. He reminds Miz that he always ends up betraying all of his partners. The Miz says Jelly Roll always talks about his redemption story, but never about the person behind it. And that person is The Miz. It all started two years ago at SummerSlam, when Roll fell on his backside because of the weight of his obese rear. And who was there to help him so he wouldn’t feel embarrassed? The Miz. That was the moment the singer realized he had to change his life. “Do you want to take credit for me losing 250 pounds? Are you so narcissistic that you want credit for someone else’s hard work?” asks Roll before making it clear that he—and only he—is responsible for his personal achievement. As for The Miz, he should be disgusted with himself. “I liked you better when you were fat,” says The Miz. “Fat or skinny, I can still kick your ass,” replies Jelly. “You’d better show some respect! I’m the locker room leader!” shouts The Miz. “You’re the locker room loser!” Roll fires back.
Kit Wilson appears!
Wilson advises The Miz to stop wasting time with Roll. “The problem isn’t you being his mentor. The problem is him,” says the Brit as he enters the ring. Roll doesn’t understand what’s going on, because deep down he actually likes Wilson, just like everyone here does. With that said, Roll imitates his signature poses. “You’re mocking me while I’m trying to have a serious conversation,” says an annoyed Kit. He believes Roll wants everyone to consider him some kind of hero just because he lost 300 pounds. “This man is not a hero. He’s a man running away from who he really is: a fatphobe,” says Wilson. “You promote an unhealthy beauty ideal and that tells me everything I need to know about you, Jelly Roll. Because Jelly Roll, YOU ARE TOXIC!” he shouts. Roll confronts the Brit, who quickly shoves the singer. The Miz grabs Kit, preventing him from attacking Jelly again. The singer throws a right hand at Kit. He dodges it, causing the punch to hit The Miz instead, who collapses onto the mat. Kit flees the ring and then helps Miz to the back while Roll celebrates with the fans.
Ilja Dragunov and Apollo Crews are enjoying what just happened on “Miz TV” through a backstage monitor. Carmelo Hayes approaches the Russian to inform him that last week he heard the story about his mother. Now he understands that maybe the open challenge for the United States Championship could be a heavy burden for him. Dragunov says he’s stuck between two extremes: competition or a deep lack of self-confidence. Unfortunately, it’s the only way he knows how to live, because he doesn’t know peace. Melo still believes there’s another reason why he doesn’t want to face him. “BECAUSE I CAN’T FACE YOU when I’m facing myself. Okay?” replies Ilja before walking away.
Tiffany Stratton cuts a promo backstage while heading to the ring. Chelsea Green tries to interrupt her, but Tiffany deals with her by forcefully pushing her wheelchair. Alba Fyre runs after her partner. Stratton continues on her way, promising Giulia that once she defeats Kiana James, it will only be a matter of time before the United States Championship ends up in her hands. And then “The Beautiful Madness” will know what time it is. “It’s Tiffy Time.”
We see Vanessa Hudgens and Mark Kerr sitting in the front row.
The Miz talks with Kit Wilson backstage. Wilson hopes Miz finally wakes up and realizes that Jelly Roll is toxic. “But don’t worry, Miz. If he wants a fight, I’ll talk to Nick and give him what he wants,” says the Brit before leaving. Danhausen appears, startling The Miz. Danhausen carries a jar full of teeth, offering his mentor one in case he lost any during the attack tonight. Danhausen also says he could have defended him if he had been on stage with him. “Get out of here,” says The Miz. “You know, there’s only one thing you can do to reverse the curse,” says Danhausen. The Miz prepares to shout at him, but Danhausen has already vanished. “There is no curse,” Miz mutters.
Tiffany Stratton vs. Kiana James (with Giulia)
Stratton and James lock up. Tiffany shows off her agility to surprise her opponent. Stratton trips Kiana onto the second rope before attempting a rope hip attack. James avoids it. Giulia tries to grab Stratton’s legs. She jumps to avoid it, but the distraction prevents her from defending against a knee strike from Kiana. Tiffany falls to ringside. James grabs her and throws her into the barricade.
James brings Stratton back into the ring to continue dominating the match. Kiana sends her out again. The referee prevents James from going after her opponent, allowing Giulia to strike her illegally. Kiana charges at Stratton in the corner to deliver several corner spears. James traps Tiffany in a grounded headlock. Stratton escapes with a jawbreaker. A facebuster from Kiana leaves both women laid out on the mat.
Stratton and James exchange attacks while Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre appear on the entrance ramp. Tiffany kicks James, who counters with a Falcon Arrow. 1..2..NO. Stratton blocks another attack and responds with a rolling senton. Giulia pulls her partner out of the ring to prevent the Prettiest Moonsault Ever. Furious, Stratton launches herself at Kiana with a suicide dive.
Chelsea tries to attack Tiffany with a metal object, but Giulia stops her. “The Beautiful Madness” shoves Green and confronts Alba. Stratton returns to the ring with Kiana. Giulia climbs onto the apron to grab Tiffany. James throws a big boot, but Stratton moves aside, causing Giulia to take the hit. She lands on top of Green and Fyre. Tiffany hits a rolling senton on Kiana before finishing her with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever. 1..2..3.
Winner: Tiffany Stratton
Cathy Kelley interviews Trick Williams backstage. Williams calls out Nick Aldis for booking him in a match against Jacob Fatu tonight, but he doesn’t care because he’ll take down the Samoan. Sami Zayn appears to mock Williams, who claimed to be the “man who gets the job done.” The same man who promised he would main event WrestleMania and carry this company on his shoulders. The same man who lost at Elimination Chamber, who was knocked out by Randy Orton last week, and who will be knocked out again tonight for not keeping his mouth shut. Trick tells Sami he’s a lucky man, because if he didn’t have a match tonight, he’d kick his ass. Zayn reminds him that he’s there every night, so he’s easy to find. “I guess I’ll see you at some point,” says the Canadian. Trick stares Sami down before heading to the ring.
Jacob Fatu vs. Trick Williams
Both men stare at each other before starting the match. Jacob and Williams lock up, with Trick backing his opponent into the corner. The referee orders him to break the hold. Trick complies, only to throw a punch. Williams keeps attacking Jacob, smashing his head into the turnbuckle. Fatu suddenly begins smashing his own head against the turnbuckle, shocking Trick.
Fatu traps Williams in the same corner and unleashes a barrage of headbutts. Jacob knocks Trick down before executing a handspring moonsault. Fatu sends Williams out of the ring with a clothesline. Jacob attempts a suicide dive, but Williams stops him with a right hand. Trick takes Jacob down with a tackle before slamming him into the commentary table.
Jacob responds with several chops before smashing his opponent’s face into the steel steps. Fatu continues attacking Trick before returning him to the ring. Once there, Williams surprises him with a spinning kick. Trick unleashes a flurry of offense before locking in a headlock. Fatu fights free with several punches.
Jacob lands a corkscrew senton on Williams. Fatu throws Trick into the corner before building momentum for a Running Hip Attack. Williams stops him with a kick before delivering a neckbreaker. 1..2..NO. Trick executes an uranage. 1..2..NO. Williams pulls down one of his knee pads to prepare for a Trick Shot. Jacob stops him with a superkick before delivering a pop-up Samoan drop. Fatu follows with a Running Hip Attack and then a Swanton Bomb. 1..2..NO. “This is awesome!” chant the fans.
Trick escapes to ringside, but Jacob quickly goes after him. “The Samoan Werewolf” brings his opponent back into the ring, where the referee checks on Williams. Suddenly, Drew McIntyre appears to attack Jacob. The Scot returns Fatu to the ring, where Williams surprises him with a Trick Shot. A second Trick Shot ends the match. 1..2..3.
Winner: Trick Williams
McIntyre enters the ring to stalk Fatu before delivering a Claymore. Drew poses with his thumb down to close the segment.
Nick Aldis welcomes us from the center of the ring. The General Manager addresses Drew McIntyre directly, who apparently is now back in WWE. For that reason, he informs him that next week he will face Jacob Fatu one-on-one. With that said, he reminds us that we are here for the contract signing for the WrestleMania 42 match between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. He then introduces “The Viper,” who receives a huge ovation. “Randy! Randy!” chant the fans as the fourteen-time world champion enters the ring. Aldis then introduces Cody Rhodes, who soon makes his entrance. Cody greets Orton and Aldis before the champion and challenger take their seats.
Rhodes recalls his WWE debut in 2007 facing Orton. Since then, he always kept an eye on him, watching him win the Royal Rumble to main event WrestleMania. He wanted that too, but then he left the company. At that time, Orton posted about how Rhodes could become world champion. Cody remembers that when he returned in 2022, he did it alone. His brother wasn’t with him and his wife stayed home with the kids. “But I had you,” he says. Orton and Rhodes bump fists. “Randy, I’m not your son, I’m not your brother, but I’ve always been proud to be your guy,” says Cody before grabbing the pen. Rhodes kisses it and signs the contract before sliding it toward Randy.
Orton prepares to sign, but something stops him. Randy stands up. “Cody, I don’t think you understand. I need this,” he says while pointing to the massive WrestleMania sign. “I need that,” he adds, pointing to the Undisputed WWE Championship. “This wasn’t supposed to be difficult. It was supposed to be easy. Drew was supposed to be here,” he says. Cody interrupts him to make it clear that once the bell rings, everyone will see the best version of “The Viper,” the “Legend Killer,” the youngest world champion in WWE history, the master of the three most dangerous letters in this business. “But that will be when the bell rings. And after the WrestleMania main event, when the final bell rings, I want you to know that I will always love you,” says Rhodes while sliding the contract closer to his friend. Randy signs the contract before shaking Cody’s hand and hugging him… only to slam his head into the table!
Randy continues attacking Rhodes, ripping his shirt apart before throwing him out of the ring. Orton sends Cody over the commentary table before striking him with the steel steps. Nick tries to intervene, but Orton shoves him aside. Randy goes back after Cody, who is now bleeding heavily from the head. Orton smashes the champion into the steel steps again before continuing the assault. “Randy! Randy!” chant the fans. Orton places the steel steps on top of the commentary table. Numerous officials rush out to calm him down. Jelly Roll approaches Randy to talk to him, but he is also shoved aside. Clearly upset, Orton walks up the entrance ramp.
Roll checks on Cody’s condition. Suddenly, Randy returns with a steel chair and smashes it over Cody’s head! “The Viper” stands tall on top of the commentary table. After a few moments, Orton climbs down and heads to the center of the ring to grab the Undisputed WWE Championship. Randy sits on the chair he just used as a weapon and places the belt on his lap. Orton remains silent while Rhodes is treated by the medical team. “RKO! RKO!” chant the fans. And with that, this week’s episode of the blue brand comes to an end.
