Mercedes Moné was one of the great protagonists of 2025. "The CEO" embarked on a journey that led her to conquer a multitude of championships in the independent scene. So much so that the wrestler came to hold thirteen belts at the same time, thus surpassing the legendary record of Último Dragón, who simultaneously held ten titles. During her adventure, Moné visited several countries, both in America and Europe, with RevPro being one of the promotions where she was most active.
As part of her new journey to lose all her championships, last weekend, "The CEO" traveled to Wolverhampton, England, to participate in the event High Stakes 2026 by RevPro, where she lost two new titles. A gesture that has been widely applauded by fans and promoters themselves, many of whom hope this does not mean the end of her appearances in the independent circuit. This was indicated by Andy Quildan, owner of RevPro in an interview with High Stakes Wrap Up.
"The fact that all the people who have worked with her and all the promotions around the world she has collaborated with during this incredible stage have nothing but positive stories to tell says it all about her as a person. And I feel very fortunate to have been part of that journey. I am very proud to have been part of that journey. It has been a great experience in every way. So I have nothing but positive things to say," he said.
"And, again, I'll say it again. I said it when Mercedes Moné lost the British Women's Championship. I repeat it now: I hope this is not the last time we see Mercedes Moné in a Revolution Pro Wrestling ring. But if it is, it has been a great journey, I have appreciated and enjoyed every minute, and I hope the fans have too," he added.
Currently, Moné only holds three championships in the independent scene: the PTW Women's Championship (Poland), the WPW Women's Title (Canada), and the APAC Wrestling Women's Championship (Malaysia) (in addition to the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Title, which is basically a trophy that is not defended). It is expected that "The CEO" will eventually lose these three belts in combat before returning to AEW's television programming.
On the other hand, the end of this journey will leave all parties involved satisfied. The independent promotions that have featured Moné have shown their gratitude for being part of this story, which has allowed them to reach a larger audience. On her part, Moné would have charged around $25,000 per appearance. A figure that sparked much discussion, but did not deter these promotions.
