A few days ago we reported that Tama Tonga was fined by WWE for sharing a video on social media of the rehearsals prior to a recent SmackDown show. Although the company allows its superstars to post videos recorded backstage, sharing details about the script or match preparation is expressly prohibited.

This afternoon, Tama confirmed the information circulating on the Internet. The former WWE Tag Team Champion admitted that he had made a mistake and that the fine he received will serve as a lesson from now on. "As has already been said, yes, I was fined - deservedly. I knew I could do better, it was a careless mistake. Lesson learned. Accept the hit and move on. Back to work," he wrote on X before his scheduled live stream.

Later, during his live stream, Tama added: "We all go through something. We just accept the hit and move on. You can't let that bring you down. Am I punished? I've been punished all my life. There's no way out of punishment. I live life as if I'm always being punished."

According to several sources, Tama had to pay a fine of over $10,000. A significant amount, but also very effective in making the rest of the roster more careful from now on. On the other hand, it is unknown if the loss of the WWE Tag Team Championships that took place in the last episode of SmackDown is also part of this punishment.
